The mysterious figure

It was a cold windy night, but festive lights were lit underneath the dark sky. There was never a day where the city wouldn't be lively. No, actually, the city gets more crowded just by each day.

The number of buyers and the number of sellers had increased drastically this past few months, from customers like mafia bosses, CEO's of huge companies, Idols, they would all come here to either loosen up, buy or have fun.

Ehem... now continuing to the main storyline. A figure stood on a ramen's shop rooftop, located at the edge of city beside the kami river. The small business looked like it was abandoned several years ago, moss patches and short vines were growing on the shop's outer wall, the banner that would welcome customers was tattered and torn, meanwhile on the outside only stood one lonely street lamp with a flickering light bulb attached.

There only stood one small ramen shop and a river across it. It truly was a sad sight, the story behind this ramen shop... what could it be? behind the ramen shop was a busy city and infront was a peaceful river, it seemed like the shop was dividing the place into two dimensions.

The street lights continues to flicker, and the night still went on, but so were the people there.

A young woman who was dressed neatly in a pink blouse and a pair of blue jeans was walking from the corner of the side walk, her footsteps were heard aloud by the small creatures nearby and the figure on top of the roof. She looked around, as if she was trying to find someone. She approached the dim lamp post and stood underneath to perhaps keep it company and waited there.

Such a strange woman... is she perhaps the heroine of this story? Of course not, that won't be exciting at all. She kept on waiting as she began to grow impatient, her small hands cluthed onto her red purse and started to mumble words underneath her breath.

Now here's where the story starts! While the young lady stood there looking so innoncent, a thief was in waiting, hoping to get something good out of tonight. He was hiding beside the ramen shop and had scouted her all the way from where she originally had left, market city.

He waited a bit more... then BAM!!! He immidietaly sprinted towards the lady and snatched her purse, she was shocked that a thief was here. The purse snatcher than ran as fast as he could away from the place, the lady screamed but despite being on a quite street, will there be any help nearby?

- "Help!!! Somebody!!!"

The lady shouted without a second thought, but the person dressed in black kept on running. She had really important things in that bag, if she lost it, she wouldn't know what to do after that.

She continued to shout, that's when a figure landed infront of the thief to prevent him from running. It was the shadow from before, the one on the rooftop !!! The man stopped and held tighter onto the purse , he appeared to be shakened by the sudden appearance of a complete stranger.

??? - "hand over the bag" the figure stepped forward and slowly approached the robber, the man backed up slightly. Once the unknown person was under the light of the flickering street lamp, the lady who was shouting instead gasped immidietaly.

What will become of the ladie's purse and the robber's fate...
