Chapter 3

Elizabeth's pov.

I'm not sure where to go. I just want to go to a quiet place where I can live in peace. With tha dark sky,noisy environment and sad scenes, my world is a pitch black hanging witn only one thread.

I miss my sister. If I can just go back to time, maybe I can help her. Maybe she's still alive if I didn't became so selfish.

Walking at the streets and I accidentally bump to someone.

" Hey watch it.Are you blind?", a girl shouted at me which gathered everyone's attention. I keep my head low to hide my face. " Are you going to apologise to me or what?", she shouted once again. Oh how I want to go out of this place. " Sorry", I said and trying to get away from there as soon as possible. I tried to walk fast but then bump into another man. I tried to run away but the girl was very good in running.

" Hey bitch where are you going!!", she shouted and pulls my hair back and slap me in the face."Oh no Ms Xilian is so scary if she's offended.", one of the boy in my back whispers... I'm doomed. What should I do...

Zach's pov...

Thankfully my mom's temper calmed down. I know I can hurt lil Liz from what I said and put her in deep deep pain but it is the right thing. Fortunately she understands my intention. I just want to take good care of her.

"Hey Zach! The doctor just told me bout your mother-in-law's condition.", my mom shouted from the living room. I quickly went downstairs and ask for it.

" The doctor said that the death of Alaisa must be one of the reasons of her depression. She said she was very guilty of what she had done to her before she died.", my mom said."Also the affair of his beloved husband makes it worst. That's how she became drug addict.",my mom continues." The reason why she always beat Elizabeth?" I ask her." She was blaming her. In her mind,the reason why Alaisa died is because of Elizabeth. Elizabeth was there when your fiance got accident."... I don't know what to say anymore. After she died I became cold and distant to everyone. After her funeral I tried to find lil Liz to talk to her. But after five months I still dont have any news about her.

I want to protect lil Liz. The promise I had to her, I have to look and take good care of her lovely younger sister,Liz... She already know that her younger sister will suffer from the beat of her own mother when she's gone.

"Hey,Zach... Zach.. Zach!!!", my mom snaps me from my deep thoughts.

"Zach, Im worried about Liz. She said she'll be back before lunch but it's already 12:00 and yet she's still not here.", my mom said with her worry eyes.

"Mom did you call her?","Yeah... But she's not answering her calls. Please Zach can you go after her. I'm worried. What if in her way home,she got some argument or something."

"Mom, maybe your just overthinking", I said out of nowhere. My mom suddenly became fierce and look at me with a sharp scary eyes and hit my head." If you love your mother you better obey me."... Then she just walk away like nothing happened. Really mom...
