THE GRAND ROYAL BALL..

It was a beautiful morning in the kingdom of Aerin. One could hear the chattering of the people in the roads of the capital Madeleine. Birds chirping, children playing, old women gossiping and young adults getting ready for their mundane activities.

And there was I, just on my bed sleeping like a baby refusing to wake up because of the wonderful dream I was having although I forgot it as soon as my closest and personal maid decided to wake me up!!.

"Auuhh!! why did u wake me up? I was enjoying such an amazing dream!!."

"I'm sorry miss Sophia but your mother requests your presence in the dining hall.."

Oh shit! I forgot that my mother was at home....well forget about that dream..well I kinda did but I gotta get ready first..

..AT THE DINING TABLE..

I hurriedly rushed down the stairs and sat at the dinner table. And my mother informed me today that our family has gotten an invitation to attend the royal ball. Well to say exactly it's a GRAND royal ball considering the invitation has been sent to one and every household in hopes of selecting a wife for the crown prince. Seems awfully similar to the storyline of Cinderella does it not !?well anyways who am I to judge, I might also get a chance to meet my prince charming at the royal ball.

And so I excitedly or..anxiously waited for the time to arrive when I could finally doll myself up and go outside.

Now just to be clear, it's not that I am forced to stay inside the house by my family or anything it's just that I choose not to go outside..why u may ask?....don't really know actually.

Well anyways finally the time came and my maid Maria helped me to get all dressed up and ready to go to the royal ball.

And so my family set off in our carriage and may I just say..WHAT THE HECK!!" ok i know i said that it's a GRAND ball but isn't this too much!! I mean it's not like the palace is small or anything..its huge but the amount of people gathered here is...just....huge... .

Well anyways we walk inside and the palace is literally shining!!..its so magnificent!!. There are several antiques,paintings and other..stuff but even with all these the place still looks extremely elegant and not too showy. To put it in simple words...THEY NAILED IT!!.

And while I was admiring the pictures and paintings hung on the wall, i suddenly heard a deep and dare I say a charming voice behind me saying "do u like them?"

It was a simple question, quite a nice way to start a conversation actually and so I turned my back to face the person and ......it was the crown prince himself just casually gazing down on me because I was slightly shorter than him.

I uttered "y-your royal highness! what are you doing h-here ?" and bowed.

*His dark ocean-like blue eyes shining brightly due to the light coming into the room, his broad shoulders, his silky and smooth dark blue hair......shit why am I drooling!??

he chuckled and said "u alright..?"

I think I'm about to get a nosebleed...how could someone be so perfect !!, were my thoughts at that time and finally I decided to reply to him and said that I was completely fine and asked him again for why he was here at the corner of the hall instead of participating in the event and dancing with the lovely girls present here.

He said "Well I came here to ask if I could dance with you?, is that alright? "

"huh!! me? why me- I mean yes I would love to dance with u" I said while being confused as hell but I didnt show that on my face and decided to go with him to the dance floor.

He offered his hand while slightly bowing to which I held his hand and we both went to the centre of the hall for THE DANCE of my lifetime.

It felt so magical and wonderful, I felt like I could dance with him forever, just holding his gentle hand and spinning in his arms as he holds my waist..man the butterflies I felt while dancing with him..

And of course every single woman out there just glared me down like I was a deer who was about to get killed by a thousands of lions but I decided it was the best to ignore the glares and just focus and enjoy the moment since it's not a thing that can be done every day.

And while I got those intense murderous glares by the women, my family just standing in the corner looked super proud of me.

Perhaps they thought I had gained the attention of the crown prince meaning they could ask for their help later on in the future

But I for sure thought that i was just a woman in the eyes of the crown prince who he could easily just throw away as soon as he was done with what he wanted from me and I was just some young lady from a random noble family whose name he has probably never heard of....

But I must say... I certainly got my Cinderella moment which I had zero hopes for and I think that coming today was a wonderful decision and perhaps I should also thank maria for dressing me in such a way that I managed to catch his royal highness's attention like that's some real magic right there....

but sadly the time came when our dance came to an end and for probably the last time we looked into each other's eyes.....and parted...
