Chapter 4 - "Messy Dinner"

"Sob... sob... sob..., I shouldn't have come, I shouldn't have married Charles st first." cried Sharon while squating in front of the front yard fishpond

"I understand this must be very difficult for someone in your position." said Mary suddenly approaching, and handing her a handkerchief

"Thank you so much, I don't know what I would do if there wasn't someone that's warm and kind to me in this family." replied Sharon to Mary with her face in tears smiled

"Sharon!" shouted Charles looking worried running towards her

"She's fine, I think it's best for you two not to come back here first, until mother feels better." said Mary to Charles Zhang staring at him

"Thank you, but we don't need your advice." said Charles to Mary then walked towards Sharon

Mary then walked inside the mansion smiling inside her plan had worked.

"Are you alright, I'm sorry, let's just go and come back again another time." said Charles to Sharon wiped her tears

After that, Sharon and Charles returned to their house.

"I didn't think of mother would do something like this." said Clara to Judith

"You see that woman seems to have planned something big, which will go smoothly for her." said Judith Yang while biting an apple

"I think she just got one, you see her smile." said Clara while peeling an apple

"What are you both doing, did I miss something again?" ask Mary who just came back from the front yard

"No, you came just in time, this is the apple I just peel, eat it, and welcome back to this house." said Clara handing the apple to Mary with a fake smile

"Thank you, it's been a long time since we gathered like this again." said Mary to them holding the apple and sat down on the couch together

Clara and Judith pretend to like Mary, even though they really hate her because of her their plan almost failed.

3 days have passed, Charles, and Sharon lived in the house together with Lina who helped them a lot.

"Thank you very much Lina, without you, I don't know what we would do in this house." said Charles to Lina while eating his breakfast

"It's not a big deal, I'm also grateful to both of you that I was able to get out of that horrible mansion, it's more fun to live here." said Lina to them smiling

"Charles I got a letter from someone who seems to be from your family." said Sharon handing the letter to Charles curious about the letters

"We don't need to read it, just throw it away." said Charles to Sharon continue to eat his breakfast

"But this is written your mother wants to invite us to dinner, Is this your mother's handwriting?" ask Sharon to Charles

"I don't think we need to go back to the person who rejected you and her son before." said Charles to Sharon continue to ignore it

"But I want to go, I feel like mother has started to try to accept me after that day." said Sharon to Charles with a smile on her face

"If you say so, then let's go." said Charles to Sharon

After that, that afternoon they went back to the Zhang family mansion, as what the letter said, a dinner.

"You both have came back, it is so nice to see you again, Sharon." said Mary to Sharon sitting in the living room couch

"Sis Mary, thank you for your suggestions that day." said Sharon to Mary happily

"I think the two of them will act like in-laws in a mythical fairy tale." said Clara to Judith while having an afternoon tea in the stone table at the front yard while observing them

"I think we look at them too much, should we interfere in this?" ask Judith to Clara take a bite of a piece of cake

"I think just leave it, eventually they will both be burned according to our plan." said Clara to Judith smiling

"Our plan is moving slowly, but I can expect it, to be what we always wanted." said Clara to Judith smiled

Inside the mansion, Mary took Sharon around.

"It looks like it's mother's lunchtime, I have to cook porridge for her, do you want to come along?" ask Mary to Sharon smiled

"Of course, I would love to, I would like to thank her for inviting us here." said Sharon smiling

After that they were in the kitchen, and started cooking, Mary let Sharon cook all the dishes.

"I have to go pick Grace up from school first, so you just cook by yourself first, when you're done, take it and give it to mother, if I didn't arrive at time." said Mary leaving her in a rush

"Oh and remember not to make the porridge too salty because mother hates that." said Mary then leaving the kitchen with her coat

"I think the saltiness around this is alright, not too salty and not bland, but there's something missing." muttered Sharon to herself after tasting it

While cooking porridge, she felt that there was an ingredient left behind when she tried to go ask a servant's, without realizing it, someone had mixed salt into the porridge.

After she finished adding the last ingredient, without tasting it again, she immediately took the porridge into the room and tried to give it to Sylvia.
