Chapter 5 - "Invitation"

After knocking several times, Sylvia finally asked Sharon to come in, with a happy feeling, Sharon sat on the chair next to her bed.

"Mother I made you some lunch" said Sharon to Sylvia carrying the porridge to the room

"Put it down, I'll try to eat it myself." said Sylvia to Sharon then holding the spoon

Sharon feels proud because she is finally starting to be slowly accepted by her in-laws, but as soon as Sylvia put a spoonful of porridge in her mouth, everything fell apart again.

"Are you trying to kill me with this salty porridge, are you crazy?" shouted Sylvia to Sharon suddenly and spitting the porridge out

At that time Clara rushed into Sylvia room, after hearing the shout, and was shocked because all the porridge had fallen on the floor.

"What happened, how could this happens, did Mary ask you to do this?" said Clara shocked while handing Sylvia water and wipes

"No it's not, I just tested the taste of the porridge, and it was just right." said Sharon trying to explain to Sylvia

"You get out, now." shouted Sylvia to Sharon looking very angry

"What happened I feel like I didn't put that much salt in it why is it salty, I have to try again." said Sharon walked downstairs and head to the kitchen

After she tasted it, she was shocked that it was, so salty, she couldn't even swallow it, even though she remembered that the taste it before and it was just right.

"There is someone trying to frame me, who is it?" muttered Sharon to herself looking around the kitchen

"Young lady, do you need some help?" ask a servant to Sharon looking very worried

"Did you see that someone was here cooking this porridge besides me?" ask Sharon to the servant

"No, I just came back from the market to buy ingredients for tonight's dinner." said the servant to Sharon

After that, Sharon started to think about who did that to her. Afternoon had passed, Mary returned from picking up her child, and hearing the incident, she immediately went to see Sharon.

"Are you alright about earlier, I'm sorry I left you alone in here." said Mary showing a fake little empathy

"It's alright if you accidentally make a mistake because I did the same thing when I first learned to cook too." said Mary to Sharon trying to fake comfort her

"But it wasn't me who did it." said Sharon to Mary denying it

"I think someone tried to frame me, but I don't know who they are?" said Sharon to Mary frustrated

Mary looked like she didn't want to believe it and then left Sharon alone there, acting a fake empathy and little disappoinment to her, seeing that Sharon feels that no one can trust her in this family.

After that incident, a week had passed, and the head of the family, Albert Zhang finally returned home after living out of city for a month. Albert Zhang went home with a big smile on his face because the ending he had been waiting for was about to happen.

The sound of the car stopping in front of the mansion gate, everyone stood in the living room to welcome the head of the family, back home, Albert Zhang.

“How dare you come here again, but it's good that everything will be finished today." said Sylvia to Sharon who just stepped in the mansion

Sharon who heard that was silent, because she was very afraid about the word and everything will possibly happens to her.

"Welcome back Master." said all the servant greeted Albert who just came back to the mansion

"Oh Charles, you are back, I have heard the news about you from outside the city, how about we started planning the wedding of you and Miss Gao from the Gao family." said Albert hugged Charles with a warm smile

"Is this the first thing a father said to his son after 3 years of not seeing each other?" ask Charles to Albert disappointed

"Besides, father I want to introduce you to my wife, her name is Sharon Gu." said Charles while holding Sharon hand showing it to Albert

Sharon then smiled while shivering and trembling a little, gripping her dress tight once again, and looked at Albert with a sweet and warm smile.

"Nice to meet you father, my name is Sharon Gu." greet Sharon to Albert smiled

Suddenly the hall of the mansion felt very gloomy, no one had written to Albert about Charles and Sharon's wedding because they knew what would happen, they were all afraid.

"What father, where will our face lie if you marry a village woman like this Charles?" shouted Albert to Charles in disbelief and mad

Suddenly the mansion was once again became messy because of Charles was fighting with his family once again, to defending Sharon.

Mary stood there looking very happy because she knew this day would happen, where her father-in-law's golden child would become a stranger in an instant, and soon Edwin, her husband will took the position.

Sharon panicked and was frightened and ran out once again, because of the chaos inside the mansion.

"Young lady, where do you want to run to?" shouted Lina followed her behind

"Lina, should I divorce Charles, I think I will ruin his life if this continues?" ask Sharon crying once again in the front yard

"No, this is not your fault lady, I understand how you feel right now, this is not your fault, really isn't your fault." said Lina trying to comfort Sharon, although she already knew this would happen

"Ever since Charles came home, and Mary moved in here, the masion has become a total mess." whispers Judith to Clara observing from upstairs

"I also think so, this must be all the work of that unlucky woman, I've heard it said that people who live in the village or come from the village are very unlucky." said Clara to Judith

"Well, if father doesn't accept us, then I will move out of this house and I will never come back here again." shouted Charles to Albert then leaving the mansion once again
