Ch. 03

It has been a week since I met Lucy. Ever since I met her, my mind has been all about her. This week has been very busy because of school and work, so I haven't had the opportunity to go and see her, until today. My phone vibrates, and I take it out from my back pants pocket it was a text message from one of my closest friends, Mia.

Mia: I want a banana shake so bad rn

we should go to the store where you bought me the cake!

it was so good

Me: Yeah alr

let's meet at the front of the school

Mia: yay!!! 😆 

Me: I also gotta tell you something 

Mia: uuhhh do tell pls 🫣

Me: hmmm 

i'll tell you after class

Mia: NOOOOO 😣

WHY I CANT KNOW ABOUT IT NOW?!?!

Me: 😂😂😂

bc is is better to tell you in person

Mia: 😒

what a bit-

okay fine 😔

BUT YOU BETTER TELL ME 😠‼️

Me: okay okay 😂

Mia: 🙄😒

you're paying btw ☺️

I laughed at her message and sent a thumbs up and turned my phone off.

The class was finally done, and I made my way to the gate where I would meet Mia. I took out my phone to start calling her, however, I noticed her jogging towards me with her book in her hands.

"Took you long enough," I say to her in a teasing manner, she gently punches me. "Oh come on," she puts her book in her backpack. "The class just finished, the fuck you mean I took long enough." She rolls her eyes, and I start to laugh, making her glare at me jokingly.

"One of these days you're gonna get I swear," She grabs my arm and we both start walking

"Now come on, take me to the magical place." She lets out a big smile.

"Let's go," I said to her smiling.

When I realized that I also liked girls, I was scared. I was scared of what my friends would think of me and what my parents would think of me. When I came out to my friends as bisexual, they were supportive of me. Half of my friends are part of the lgbtq and the other part are allies -which I didn't know by the way- When I came out to my parents, they didn't take it well, but in time, they started to accept me slowly. And that makes me happy.

"Hey!" Mia slaps my arm "I'm talking to you." She pouts.

"What?" I turned to her "Oh sorry, I was just thinking."

"Thinking about what?" she asked while raising her brow

"When I came out to you guys." I look at her smiling, and she starts to laugh.

"Oh yeah, I remember," She says while trying to calm down her laughter. "You looked so scared."

"It was a terrifying moment," I said with a sad exaggerated tone, she rolled her eyes and continued to laugh. Mia and I stopped in front of a door.

"Is this the place?" We entered the place and she looked around inside all excited.

"Yeah," We both go sit at the table, and a waiter comes and leaves us the menu to order. My eyes started to search for Lucy but I couldn't seem to find her, I frowned.

"Are we waiting for someone else?" I turn to her. "What?"

"Oh, well, it's because it looks like you're looking for someone." I can feel my face turning red, I turn my gaze away from her for a little and then I look at her again.

"And by the looks of it," She puts down the menu folder and looks at me. "They're not here, are they?" I sighed

"Yeah" Mia grabs my hand "It's okay, I'm sure they have a reason for them not to come today now," She gently smiles at me "Tell me about them, do they work here?"

"Yeah," I smile. "Her name is Lucy, and she works here." I hoped to see her again today, but I haven't stopped thinking about her ever since I looked at her. Sometimes I wonder if she felt the same way as me.

"Are you guys ready to order?" Suddenly the waiter appeared in front of us.

"Oh yeah." Mia starts to order, the waiter turns around to take my order, I order a strawberry milkshake. The waiter was about to turn around but I stopped them.

"Hey!" The waiter turns around 

"Yes? You need something else?" 

"No, but, I wanted to ask about Lucy, is she not working here today?"

"Oh yeah, she called in sick today so she didn't come, did you want to leave a message for her?" Upset and worried, I shake my head no, he nods his head. "Do you know when she's going to come?" 

"Uhm, probably tomorrow." I nod at him "Would that be all?" 

"Yes." 

"Very well." With that, he leaves. 

"So!" Mia smirks at me. " Lucy huh," She says while wiggling her eyebrow. I mentally facepalm myself, Mia starts to laugh at me. "So who is this girl, tell me about her." 

And with that I told her everything since the beginning, every time I talk about her my heart races. I was looking forward to seeing Lucy and maybe getting her phone number today, but perhaps today wasn't the day. I seriously felt like smashing my head into the wall, why didn't I ask for her number before? Sometimes I hate my slow-ass brain. 

"I should've asked for her number before I left." I mewl to myself.

 "Hey, hey, hey," She grabs my hand. "I'm sure you'll get to know her soon, alright?" I smile at her. "You're right, I'll come back on Friday." 

"Oh to be in love." We start to laugh, I'm glad to have Mia as my best friend, she's my number-one supporter, without her, I would've gone down the wrong path a long time ago. So I'm thankful to have her, by my side.
