The bright orb hanging from the ceiling bathes my surroundings with a bright white light, when my eyes finally adjust to the to this mini sun the walls all around me are white, not a speck of dirt of anything. The walls are spotless, not only the walls but the floor and the ceiling as well. then I look around I see a small white chair positioned by a mirror sitting about an inch into the wall. As I turned my head to look around I realized there was no sound, surely I would make sound from moving around, but there was nothing. When I glanced to the far right I noticed a small clock in the top corner of the wall, the hour hand was sitting on 11:59, and the minute hand was bout to pass the hour hand signaling it was 12:00, I watched in silence as the clock stopped on 12:00. Neither hand moved as if they were being held in place all of a sudden the edges of the ceiling began to pour out a black liquid down the sides of the walls painting over the pale walls. Then I woke up.
"That dream again" I sighed as I clutched my head, I knew that it was a dream I've had countless times yet I could't recall what happened in the dream just the uneasy feeling the dream left me with.
*Knock\,*Knock
"Ichiro Get ready we're leaving for the station in 5" Cheered Mom through the door.
"OK, I'll be down In a minute" I called out.
I checked the clock and realized how late it was, I rolled off the bed and quickly rushed over the my drawer and threw on the outfit I had picked out the day before, My black pants, a black turtle neck, my light blue trench coat, and my black hat. before I exited my room I threw my bag over my shoulder and passed my mirror without checking to look, I raced out of my door down the stairs and slipped on my black converse and went out the door grabbing a fruit sandwich on my way out.
"Just In time" Mom chuckled as I slipped into the car and into the front passenger seat.
"Of course, You know me Mom, I'm never late. I mused
"Yeah right" My sister chimed from the backseat.
"Who asked you" I laughed as I turned and ruffled her hair.
"HEY" She exclaimed combing her hair down with her fingers.
We all started laughing as we pulled out of the driveway and into the street, on our way to the train station we passed by thick forests and a few shops. My little sister was stuck to the glass as she peered out at the colorful signs and buildings we rode by. When we finally pulled up at the station my dad was pacing back and forth in front of the ticket booth until he spotted us he ran up to the car and urged us out of the car. we all got out and we knew it was time for us to part my father told me I had gotten a scholarship to a prestigious high school academy in the small town of Nunally. so I decided I would leave to go live with my older twin brother who had moved out a couple years before for a school he had gotten a scholarship too.
"I love you honey" Mom said through tears, but as she hugged me she slipped something into my pocket and whispered in my ear "Remember what's real".
"Wh-" I tried to ask her what she meant but she put a finger to my mouth with a serious expression she looked at me and I knew not to ask.
"Bye,Bye" Big brother my little sister said bashfully as she pursed her lips making a duck face and looked at the ground twirling her hair.
"Bye-bye" I whispered as I patted her head.
"Bye son" My dad said as he waved.
"Bye dad" I said as I made a slight bow.
As I boarded the train what my mom said was lingering in my thoughts, what did she mean by Remember what's real I couldn't place it but I felt like I knew what that meant. While I was thinking about that I looked Out the window in the direction of my family as the train started to move forward when my eyes met my moms her face became cold and distant and for a second I could've swore her eye's flashed black I blinked and rubbed my eye's but she was smiling and waving I must have Imagined It I guess. As I looked one more time just before I could no longer see them I saw my little sister mouth something in my direction I watched as she mouthed the shapes of the words and smiled. As we pulled out of sight I said the words she had mouthed In my head I'm sorry This isn't real. What did they mean as this thought crossed my mind the lights began to flicker and everything became quiet.
"what's going on" I whispered to an old lady sitting with a little girl across from me.
"Shh, or they'll know your here" she whispered.
"w-" I was just about to ask but a knock on the door of the train made me silent we were on a bridge above the water its impossible that anyone was out there. The knocking continued and all the curtains on the windows were closed everyone was quiet and sat in their seats still not moving nor making a sound. All of a sudden The knocking stopped and a man shot out of his seat.
"F this, I'm not staying here to die with you bat sh*t crazy people" the man screamed.
No one made a sound in response and the older man began to chuckle Click the man was cut off by the sound of the train door slowly unlocking and opening.
Creak
Everyone went silent as the figure boarded the train.
