Chapter 2 "A New Maid 2"

While Seo-Yun is busy admiring the beauty of the mansion. Min-Ho sees her

"Lovely architectural masterpiece isn't it?" he asked

" Yes, the mansion's façade is a blend of sleek lines, curves and geometric shapes, with a harmonious fusion of glass, stone and metal, the main entrance features a grandiose gate with a water feature " she said still mesmerized.

" You know so much, how come you want to work here as a care taker? " he asked, then she turned realizing she wasn't alone.

"I apologize, I didn't know you were here sir, I will take my leave now" she said sounding a bit embarrassed

" No, no tell me more I'm interested in sharing some of your knowledge "he said with a grin

" Okay sir, the driveway from what I saw is very magnifique too, and then the majestic double door entry, the exterior walls are clad in a combination of natural stone, glass and metallic panels, creating a striking visual effect. Floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors provide seamless, it's a very luxurious and modern architectural masterpiece. " she said as she smiled

" And do you know the name of this great masterpiece " Min-Ho asked being more inquisitive

" Yes I do, it is named Serene Oasis, and I was actually just talking about the exterior, for the interior, it's nestled amidst lush greenery and tranquil water features. This stunning residence is designed to exude elegance, sophistication and comfort with meticulous attention to detail in both it's exterior and interior designs " she said then realized a sigh

" You amaze me with such knowledge" he said

" I appreciate sir"she said politely

"I'd prefer to be called by my name, Min-Ho" he said

" I'm Seo-Yun, your new care taker "she said

" Why choose to work as a care taker, when you have so much knowledge about architectural works and designs "he asked

" Not everyone is wealthy, not everyone eats a seven course meal, and not everyone was given birth to with a golden spoon " she said feeling bitter within

" I went to the university on scholarship, I eventually lost my mother, as for my father he has a wife and daughter and living happily, while I have to fend for myself and my junior brother " she said trying to hold her tears back

"Where is your brother?" Min-Ho asked

"In the hospital"

"......... "

"He was born with a hole in his heart he struggles to survive and I decided to take on this job to provide money for his treatment" she said as a tear dripped from her cheek

" I'm sorry, I'll take on the responsibility of paying for everything he would need" he said with empathy

" Why will you do that for a person you barely know "

" Just trying to help, so please accept it"

" Thank you so much " she said

" It's my pleasure to help, but.... Why do you tell me this, do you trust me? " he asked

" I don't know, I just felt comfortable and I guess I trust you" she said simply

" So.. we're friends now? " he said as he stretched out his hand

"Yep friends" she said with a cute smile on her face

"Cute" he said out of the blue

"What?!" she asked

"Uh nothing" he said and scratched his head

They talked for a while soon it was lunch time, Seo-Yun left headed for the kitchen, and Min-Ho went to his study for some work. His mind was disrupted by Seo-Yun's image.

" She's a cute one" he said and chuckled

"But..... grandma and pa, have fixed me up with Yu-Ri, all in the name of making our family more wealthy and powerful " he sighed

" No matter what I'm not going to marry her, she's not my ideal woman, she's arrogant, spends with thinking and looks down on people, beautiful on the outside but character wise she's the direct opposite "

His thoughts drifted by a knock on his study's door

"Come in" he said

It was Seo-Yun she had packed her hair into a ponytail and was on a pink apron

"I've made lunch, I think it's too much but you will have to try them all" she said meekly

" Hmm you want me to become fat, do you like fat guys? " he asked unexpectedly

" Uh anyone God gives me, I will accept " she said sincerely

" What about guys like me, like ones in my condition "he asked with a touch of sadness in his voice

"No one is ever responsible for the situation they find themselves an example is yours, so back to your question yes" she said simply

" That is all, sorry for asking you all this "he said

" No need to apologize, come have lunch I'm sure it is getting cold" she added

" Yes, I'll be there in a minute "he said

" Okay" she said and left.
