Avery ~ 3

When I woke up, everything was blurry. "Ughhhh, " I groaned reaching for my glasses. I got up and put them on.

"Good morning," Kyle said, getting up himself.

" Morning. " I looked at the time, and it was 5:30. I sighed, and walked to Allie's room to wake her up. Once I got there, I woke her and she immediately jolted right up. "Hey, sweetheart, good morning." I hugged her.

"Good morning, Avery! " She quickly got up and ran downstairs. "Good morning, Kyle!" I heard her yell. She was so energetic I'm the morning. I don't get how she does it.

I went downstairs and Allie was sitting at the table, while Kyle was starting to fix breakfast. I yawned. "I'm tired."

" We all are. Get over it. "Kyle chuckled.

"You're mean."

" Or maybe you're too sensitive. " He continued cooking and the smell made me really hungry. Once he finished cooking, Allie and I ate like rabid animals, while Kyle ate elegantly. "You guys are like wild dogs, I swear. "

I put our plates in the sink. "Thanks, Kyle."

" No problem. "

"You've really helped us these past three years. Thank you, I love you so much. "I hugged him.

" I know, you say it everyday. You don't have to thank me a million times. " Once Allie went upstairs, he learned in closer. "You know you can always quit your job. I've got enough money to provide for all of us."

"No, the least I can do is pay you back. "

"I've told you that you don't have to."

" I want to, " I said before letting go of him and walking upstairs.

I laid back down, before getting up a minute later. I grabbed some jeans and a black t-shirt, and went into the bathroom. I washed my face and put some lotion on, before putting on my clothes, brushing my teeth, and brushing my hair back a little.

Life was boring. I did the same thing every day. Whatever, it could be worse. I decided after I dropped Allie off, I would go get some coffee. That sounds nice. I smiled and went downstairs again. I saw Allie was ready, but it was only 6:30, so we waited for a little while. After about 30 minutes, we left and I dropped Allie off at school.

"Bye bye!" Allie exclaimed when she got out of the car.

"Bye." I kissed her forehead and hugged her.

I got into the car when she walked away, and drove to the nearest coffee shop. Some coffee right now would really do me good. I entered the coffee shop with my head down shyly. A cheery girl welcomed me and asked me what I wanted. I just got a simple cup of coffee with sugar and cream.

When she gave me the cup of coffee, I sat down, and sighed in content as I was drinking it, looking at the window. Barely anyone occupied the shop, just a old little couple, so it was silent.....and peaceful.

I played with a piece of my light orange hair, and straightened up my glasses. I didn't even see anyone else come in or hear them give their order, but they did, and walked right past me. I took a close look at their faces and realized it was Athena and Jay. And the worst part was that they saw me.

"Hmm, isn't that Sky?" Jay asked Athena.

"Yeah!" She exclaimed coming up to me and grabbing my hands. "What are you doing here so early in the day, Sky?"

"Umm, I..." I trailed off.

"Well, lets sit down with you." The girl from before called for them saying that their coffee is ready. Jay got it, and sat down next to me, while Athena sat across from us. "How are you doing, Sky?"

I decided I would take on Sky's persona for now. " I'm fine, " I replied putting my hands under my chin, and propping my elbow up on the table. "What about you?"

" We're doing good! Umm, what about your sister and Kyle? How are they doing? "

"You have a sister? And who's Kyle?" Jay asked.

"It's not any of your business. And they're both doing fine, Athena. "

"Hey..." Jay started as he put a hand on my thigh. " Umm, you know, I honestly wanted my first time to be special, and with someone I love and know well. Last night was just a spur of the moment. Since you and Athena seem to be friends, I hope we can be friends. "

"Hmm, sure, we can, but the thing I don't get is why sex has to be special. Sex is just sex. It doesn't have to be special. Losing your virginity doesn't have to be special. Why would it matter if I knew you or loved you? " I asked, my voice as cold as ice.

"It matters to me. " I rolled my eyes. Athena didn't look shocked or offended by it, because she knew what I was like when I was 'Sky'. She knew that Sky wasn't my real name, and that Sky was just a different persona created for my job.

"Whatever." I started drinking my coffee again. Why did he want to be friends? I mean, we just met a day ago, but then again, Athena and I became friends in thirty minutes, so I guess it doesn't matter.

After a couple minutes of sitting in silence, Jay got a text message, I'm assuming. I couldn't see it, but Jay looked a bit annoyed by it. "Sorry, got to go. Maybe I'll come back to the club tonight and we can talk. Bye, Athena. I'll text you later. Bye....Sky."

I sighed going back to normal, and we just sat there in silence. It just felt much better not saying nothing. Peaceful.

*cries* I don't even look over these chapters, but I guess it's because I've already edited them on wattshxt. Sorry I'm talking trash about it, but I ✨live there✨
