"You... You don't actually care, do you?" A woman choked up.

"...."

"That's right.. You- you're just a selfish b****. You couldn't care less about anyone - "

'those words... Who is she again.? Everything's a blur.'

Before I could even understand what was happening the woman slapped her

"Not once did you weep upon the death of your father-" the woman shook her violently, her voice cracking as she cried.

Getting a dull reaction from me, the woman only became more furious and left the house that they were in.

A teenage with clear skin, short but luscious hair, and bright brown eyes chuckled and informed the others of my regained consciousness

"Mimi?" I yawned

"this is why you prioritize sleep instead of stressing over dues" she huffed.

"Anyway, self-studying hours are finally over - we can go home!!" the girl extended her arms up in the air and jumped around

The girl continued jumping around before she got smacked by Kanji, the class representative.

"You're making earthquakes."

"WHAT.."

After the two finished squabbling, Kanji turned to me

"You really need to stop staying up late, it's bad for your health" he lightly smacked my head with a book

"mhmm.. Sure, mom."

   This time, he didn't hit me lightly..

" --well.. Let's all go home.?"

"yeah!"

We eventually reached Mimi's home and said our goodbyes to her, now it was just me and Kanji.

"Quinn, don't -... don't overwork yourself. Me and the others are worried about you, and you know that."

I entered my house only to be met with emptiness, it was only to be expected. That woman has long been tired of me and only provided me with a roof over my head and money to pay with the s*** that I want or need.

I would say that I don't care, but that woman is still my mother, the woman who've I long attention from.
