CHAPTER 2

Lily saw that the little boy was looking at her and thought that he still did not believe her so she was about to explain further when she saw him pick a cookies from the box. She smiled when she saw him pick another cookies and the look of amazement on his face

"Is it that good" he nodded."what is your name little boy" she inquired. He finished the cookie in his mouth before giving her an answer.

" My name is..umm...Ben" he was not sure if he should tell her his name but later decided to tell her with a big smile plastered on his face.

"Awww.....you are so cute and you also have a cute name" she loved his smile because it made him look cuter than he already was.

Lily saw that from time to time Ben would look towards his right looking for something and each time he did not see anything he would look sad. She guessed he was checking to see if they had finally come to pick him up. She felt genuinely sad for him so to take his mind off that, she took her phone out of her pocket and searched through its content.

She finally found what she was looking for, a kids cartoon. Well she loved watching cartoons ever since she was little up till now and she did not feel ashamed of it.

She shifted closer to Ben and played the movie."would you like to watch with me" she asked him with a smile, that very smile that Ben seemed to like so much. He agreed to watch the cartoon with her.

While they were watching the movie Lily would check the time every now and then. It was already three in the afternoon, she was getting worried but Ben was lost in the movie he did not notice that they were yet to pick him up from school. Lily really wanted to ask him why his parents were so late but she did not want him to feel bad so she kept quiet, still taking note of the time.

She checked the time again and saw that it was 3:38, now she was really worried because firstly, Melody would soon be back from work and would scold her for leaving the house to go play with a kid she don't know and secondly because the kids parents were an hour and thirty eight minutes late.

She paused the movie and look at Ben and he also looked at her."Ben why has no one..." She did not get to finish her sentence when a black Bentley packed in front of them and an old man probably in his late fourties stepped down from the car.

When Ben saw him he jumped down from the bench and ran towards the man hugging his legs.

"Jeffrey" Ben was so excited to see the man.

"Ohh.....young master Ben if you keep hugging my legs like that I might just tupple over

Ben finally let his legs go and checked the back seat of the car looking for someone. "Did my dad also come to pick me up" "I am sorry young master Ben but your dad is still very busy at work" Ben look a little sad but he was used to such disappointment.

"Umm.... Ben... Is this your uncle" she saw the way Ben was so free with this man so she thought he was a relative or a friend of his father coupled by the fact that he came to pick him up.

"No, he is my butler" Ben answered quickly. That is when Jeffrey noticed the lady standing by the side. He would not deny that the lady was really beautiful but what he did not understand was why she was with Ben and why Ben was talking with her so freely.

"Hi madam, my name is Jeffrey and I am young master Bens butler " "hi, nice to meet you Jeffrey my name is Lily" Lily replied with that beautiful smile on her face . Jeffrey was stunned, he thought she was beautiful but with that smile on her face she look mesmerizing. Ben was not too happy that she was smiling like that to another person.

"Thank you madam Lily for keeping young master Ben company till we arrived" Jeffrey thanked Lily. "please call me Lily no madam ok, and also no need to thank me I am more than happy to spend a little time with him" she said while flashing a smile at Ben and he smiled back at her.

They said their goodbyes and parted ways. Lily went back home to wait for Melody to come back home.

While in the car Ben could not take the picture of Lily's smile out of his head. He really loved the way she smiled at him, even his dad did not smile like that to him.

Ben has only one parent, his dad, although he knows his dad loves him he is not always around. Ben only gets to see his dad in the morning during breakfast and sometimes at night and if he is lucky enough during the weekend. He did not have a mum but his father has a girlfriend who he does not like. She acts like she adores him when his father or Jeffrey is around but when nobody is around she would completely ignore him or complain about how much she hates children, which he did not mind since he does not even like her to begin with. But Lily,

She was really nice to him even though she did not know him. She was just meeting him for the first time but she bought him a box of cookies and play a movie for him to watch so he wouldn't feel sad. He really liked her but what he liked most about her was her smile, he wished he could see her smile more often.

When he got home he ran upstairs to draw a picture for Lily as a thank you gift for the box of cookies she bought for him.

Letter that night Ben's father got home and asked after Ben and Jeffrey told him that he was upstairs."young master Ben went upstairs immediately after getting home from school" "oh.....okay then tell him to come downstairs for dinner" Jeffrey left to do as he was told but before he left, he suddenly remembered something "oh.....I forgot to tell you sir, but there was a lady that was with young master Ben when we went to pick him up she said her name was Lily. She seemed quite fond of the young master and he also seemed to like her as well"

"is that so...well don't worry about it just go get him downstairs for dinner" "yes sir" Jeffrey hurried to complete the task he was given.

'Lily....who is this young lady that Ben has come to like' Ben's father thought to himself.
