Prologue

I, Chloe Watson, died because I accidentally tripped over a rock and hit a sharp rock with my head. People say I'm perfect at everything, but I'm unlucky.

Anyways, this guy in front of me claimed that he's the God of Life and has been cursing at another Goddess because of how unbalanced I am.

I stood there for what felt like forever until 'Lily' came. Apparently, Lily is the Goddess of Karma and Luck.

"What's up, Xen?" She asked.

"WHAT'S UP?! You must be kidding me, you sick jerk."

So.. The God of Life's name is Xen..

"Look at how unbalanced she is!" Xen said while pointing at me.

These so called God and Goddess stared at me and I smiled at them in response.

"Just reincarnate her again, I'll just try to convince Fang." Lily said to Xen.

"Hah, you can't even look at him in the eye."

"Whatever. I'll be leaving now."

"What?! No you must stay here!"

"Do you want me to turn your life upside down by taking all of your luckiness?"

Xen froze at the question.

Seeing these 2 Gods fighting is kind of fun to be honest.

"I'll be leaving then. Bye." Lily said before she left.

"THAT WOMAN!" Xen yelled.

"Ahem.. So, who's Fang?" I asked.

Xen looked at me and sighed.

"He's the God of God and Goddess. Sounds weird huh? But he's basically our God."

"So even Gods have God." I said as I chuckled at the sentence.

"Anyways, I'll be reincarnating you. Since you're not an ***, I'll give you a gift."

"Really? Thanks."

"Goodbye." He said before I was unconscious.

When I woke up, I was sitting in someone's lap. Apparently the so called gift is my memories of my past life. That's really cool~

I looked up at her and was surprised at how beautiful she looks.

After that she stands up and starts walking to the mansion. This place is really really big. Woah...

I learnt that the woman that's carrying me right now is my mom who is also a maid that serves Duke Vaile's Family.

5 years have passed since my mom and I moved here. I saw Adam at Vaile Garden watering the flowers. It's kind of rare for a guy to waters flowers, especially since he's a noble. But that's just how Adam is in the game. A caring capture target with a twisted personality. As long as you don't mess with his loved ones, you're fine.

3 years passed. I'm now 8. Adam is about 10 years old if I'm correct. We actually had a few chats. Not that it's important chats. But we're actually friends now. In here, people attend school at 12 years old and will study for 6 years or until they reach their adulthood which is 18 years old. So there are 2 years left until Adam left for school.

As I walked down the hallway, I stared at Vaile Garden and there he is, watering flowers again as usual. I got used to sitting behind him and watching him watering the flowers. He doesn't seem to mind and even let me eat his snacks. Mom would be mad at me everytime she finds out.

"Adam!" I yelled at him as I waved.

He looked at me and smiled.

"Come here, Angeline."

I sat under the tree and he sat beside me. He told his personal maid to not tell my mother about this since he knew I'll get in trouble if my mom finds out.

"Angeline, how old are you?"

"I'm 8 years old. Why?"

"Time sure flies fast."

I nodded in agreement and looked down. He noticed that something has probably troubled me.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"It's nothing. I was just thinking if there will be time when we won't meet each other anymore."

He put his hand on my shoulder and pull me closer to him and hugged me.

"Of course it won't happen."

"Hehe. Adam sure is kind." I said.

We went on like this until I fell asleep.

"Adam, isn't it?" A cute voice asked.

I looked at the source of the voice and found a cute little kid standing. I nodded in response and called her over.

"Come here."

She shook her head.

"No, my mom will be upset."

"No she won't. I'll tell her I forced you. So don't worry."

After hesitating, she finally went over to me who was watering the flowers at that time.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Angeline. I'm a commoner so I don't have a last name."

"So, what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to chat with you. You seemed lonely."

"Did I? Yeah, probably. I can't go out since father wouldn't let me."

"Is it because your father doesn't want you to fell in love with someone and married her and left him alone?"

"Ahahaha... Probably."

She nodded.

After that a maid that was passing by the garden gasped and pulled the little girl.

"I'm so sorry, Young Master. My daughter has caused trouble for you." The maid said.

"No.. I told her to come here. She didn't trouble me at all."

"Please accept our apologies!" The maid kneeled as she said that.

"N-no. Don't kneel like that. She really did nothing wrong."

"Then please excuse us."

"Oh, yeah, of course."

After that they left. The little girl waved at me as they left and I waved back. How cute.

Few days passed after that incident. The little girl apparently has managed to run away from her mother and is standing behind me.

"Adam."

I looked behind and smiled.

"What is it, Angeline?"

"Mom wouldn't let me play with you anymore. So I'm saying goodbye."

No waaay. I can't hear her cute voices anymore.. I have to tell her mother.

"Bye-" She said before she was cut off.

"Angeline!!" Her mother yelled.

I glared at her mother who is pulling her hand harshly and she noticed that I was glaring at her and quickly apologized

"F-forgive my daughter, Young Master please!" She said.

Hah. I was mad at you. Didn't you know that? But I have to be polite and kind in Angeline's eyes.

"It's okay. She did nothing wrong. Please don't pull her harshly like that next time." I politely replied.

"Yes, I'll keep that in mind. Excuse us."

The little girl, like usual, waved her tiny little hand and I waved back.

Few years have passed. We eventually became closer. She didn't seem to grow much.. Right now she's sleeping in my arms and... snoring.

I'll just stay like this for a while with her..
