I was drowning in a bottomless river.

Until I heard a voice say , "Do you want to restart?" Can I restart? Is someone here to save me. "Do you want to restart," the voice said annoyed. The voice sounded sinister but I didn't really care.

"Yes, I want to restart," I said to the unknown voice that I could here.

I'm no longer drowning im standing on the bridge where I was pushed in. Is this a dream or a figment of my imagination. The voice isn't here I guess I was imagining it.

I patted my clothes and realized that they weren't wet or damp. My hair was dry, I could feel the sweat on my forehead. Huh? it must've been a dream. Was it a dream? The water feeling up my lungs burning the back of my throat, the salty felt like fire in my eyes. "Dreams are scary"I muttered to myself.

It's dark I realized I don't have my phone. I just made a payment on it. I didn't have any money. So I walked the cold air on my skin reminded me I was alive, but I had the strangest feeling that someone watching me.

Jin (Devil) POV

I'm lurking in the corner I need to find a soul to bring to the feast. It has to be a delicious one. Oh! I see a girl, she looks interesting. Boys are running towards her and pushed her in the river. Making a Splash! noise. The boys stay for a while and start to panic because the girl isn't swimming back up. Ah! I smell a perfect opportunity. I looked down below and transmitted my voice to her. I think she's lost in her thoughts. I say it louder "Do you want to restart?" I said trying to hide my true intentions.

Ugh! this human takes to long to respond. I repeated "Do you want to restart?," this time I didn't try to hide sinister tone. "Yes, I want to restart," She said. I know she heard me but I guess she wasn't scared of me. How interesting. I think I'm going to enjoy a soul for the first time.

She's out of the water. Wait! I didn't do that, I also didn't smell anybody near by. I'm intrigued now. She's staring at the river, she's standing by the bridge looking down at the water. She's easy to read out of all the humans I've met, she's the most interesting.

I'm curious on how she got out of the water. Maybe she had a guardian but, I didn't see any of them near. Unless...No that can't be. It's not possible I'm going to follow her. I have to get her soul.

At home.

My feet are aching, my legs are sore from walking. I could still feel the presence of someone watching me. I opened the door, to my house "Hey! I'm home...," I said loudly. I walked further inside my apartment. "Rome...Rome"I said loudly again. "You're... b-back" he said tiredly. I guess I did wake him.

Rome is like the little brother I never had and, eventhough we're not related by blood I consider him as my family. "Hey you should sleep on the bed not the floor" I said softly. I wasn't his mom I know I could never be his mom and I didn't try to be. I'm pretty sure he thinks of me as a sister.

He's sixteen now, He used to look so small but now he's so tall he looks down at me. He was no longer a scrawny little boy. He has muscles now, he's still lean. It surprises me sometimes. We share a bed because o couldn't really afford one.

We don't really think of it as weird. I mean our living situation is better than the one at the orphanage. I also find it very comforting, I do wonder if he has a girlfriend. He's so pure and innocent, I don't understand why they called him a devil's child.

"Hey I'm gonna go change" I said to him while picking up my clothes and going to the bathroom. I stare in the bathroom mirror, was it all just a dream?

"You can start over" The voice said. I remember that voice, I turned around and stood there a man? I mean he looked like a man but he didn't look human. He had black eyes, black hair, black nails, black horns on his and fangs. I slapped my cheeks "Wake up" I said to myself.

The thing walked up to me and tilted my chin "Look at you... your a sweet little thing aren't you?" He said. "Who are you" I said trembling in fear. I've never been this scared before.

"You see I'm a devil..." He said with a smile. "A devil" I said outloud. I wasn't afraid, because I knew what he was. "Hahaha... You're not afraid of me why?"he asked.

" Well you just told me you're a devil...At least you're being honest about what you are but the people that hide the fact that they're devils are scary because you trusted them" I said crossing my arms.

"You are truly interesting anyway I'm going to grant you three wishes but once these wishes are fulfilled you have two choices I can claim your soul or you become a devil like me" he said happily.

This has to be the most interesting thing in my life. I didn't believe in the devil they created with red horns and red skin. I thought of devils as people. I know it sounds weird but I think all of us have some kind of devil inside all of us. The people that hide it are scary.

I have nothing and I am nothing. "Fine deal" I said nonchalantly.

Little did I know that my life would change drastically.
