Sweven woke up in the morning, bathed, changed his clothes, went down stairs to the kitchen and sat down on the chair beside her older sister Claire who's knitting some mittens for some reason which totally Reverie would mind. "Granny it's not Christmas yet" Reverie jokingly said as she put the strawberry into two breads. "Well it's getting colder you see" Claire mockingly replied. "Why won't you guys mind your own business and stopped arguing every morning" Their mother warned them while feeding Beau, Claire's daughter.
"Well...Mom, Reverie's the one who started it" Claire blamed Reverie but right now at this point she's totally telling the truth.
"I'm not blind. I'm infront of you guys the whole time" Their mother said. "Your older daughter is childish so she wouldn't notice Mom" Reverie gets back on Claire. "How's that connected? You telling me nonsense makes me cringe all the time" Claire annoyingly fights back as she stopped knitting the mittens while Sweven who couldn't careless is microwaving the left turkey last night and Belle is reading a book again with her glasses on.
"Well maybe you're jealous because I'am now a business person who owned shops around the city without even going to college" Reverie blurted out of nowhere which shocked everyone excluding Beua who's now listening to music because of Belle who quickly predict that this going happen that's why she immediately put on the headphones on Beua's ear. "Are you belittling a nurse like me? I have never been jealous to you. You're the one who assumes that!" Claire shouted.
Sabrina then stand up and ordered Belle to go with Beau on the dining room before Reverie once again said this hurtful sentence "Is that why you're husband left you? Because you're totally irritating on the ears" Reverie uttered while her mother splashed some water on her face, she was startled because of that. "Do you want a glass of water too Claire or do you guys want some knife?" She seriously asked as they didn't reply and bend their head down due to shame. "What are your problems? Can't you just be sweet to each other like in the past. You guys are not children anymore but as long as you live here, You will follow my rules and that is not having a fight anywhere in this house!" Their mother angrily scolded them.
"We can't be sweet Mom. She's homophobic" Reverie muttered.
That's when their mother couldn't hold anymore and burst his total anger at them. "To the dining room right now!!!" She shouted then left the table, Reverie then quickly follow her while Claire was left alone and was still standing there. Sweven tapped her sister shoulders as he asked nicely "Hey! Do you really hate Reverie because she like girls?". "Of course not" She muttered under her breathe too. "I know right? But then you have to go there. You know Mom she won't hurt adults" Sweven insisted as Claire go on.
"Mom I think that's not appropriate for grownup" Belle said her opinion as she looks at her Mother. "Age doesn't matter Belle. I thought your smart you should know that" Her mother replied while staring at her two daughters, Claire and Reverie, they are cutting each other's toenails while saying the curse word "I love you" when you guys are just mad at each other.
"I....love....you" Reverie said then cut Claire's one nail then Claire said "I love you too" and cut Reverie's one nail. After Sweven finished eating he then came into the dining room as Beua unexpectedly asked him "Uncle did you brush your teeth?".
"I did. Why?" Sweven asked because of Beua sudden question.
"Mom and auntie didn't so Lola (Grandmother) punished them" Beau answered with her pouted lips and disappointed face. "Seriously? Mom you told her that" Sweven said as she looked at her mother. "Well Belle wouldn't make any excuse or reason to explain this situation" His mother pointed at Belle.
"I had enough explanation so I let Mom handle it" Belle denied while Beua suddenly asked "If I done something bad will I do that Uncle?". "Probably..it's a Filipino, french, american thingy or just asian or maybe are family just do that" Sweven honestly answered. "Don't worry, you won't do this baby" Claire uttered to Beau while her Mother glared at her interpreting get back to your doing.
"Mom,Belle,Beau you guys sat down on the couch now" Sweven ordered out of nowhere as he sat down on the chair
while everyone listened to him and do it. They were startled when the ground suddenly started to shaked a little causing the Claire and her mother to panic "We're supposed to hide under the table right?!" They questioned Sweven. "No. that's just a little aftershock. It would be just dizzy when you're standing" After Sweven answered the shaked then stopped so everyone felt relieved. "What was that about?" Reverie asked.
"Like I said it was a little aftershock from the earthquake happened in Los Angeles earlier" Sweven replied. "How many died then?" Belle asked."Probably three no five. I couldn't go there" Sweven muttered, he then quickly stand up, hug his mother tightly by interpreting goodbye and kisses to her cheeks interpreting see you later as he left without a word again. "So Sweven still do that. That goodbye and see you later thing when we are kids" Reverie said to lightened the mood of her mother who is obviously worried for Sweven. "Well you always left home. Belle turned on the television right now, there might be some news about the earthquake" Their mother ordered so Belle turned on the television.
Later then Claire talked to his mother Sabrina whose washing the dishes "I'm sorry earlier" She apologized. "I know you didn't mean it" Her mother uttered, "It wasn't your fault either neither Sweven" Claire said changing the topic. "Am'I over protecting Sweven....Claire? that's why he still lives in misery smiling with that fake smile" Her mother demanded. "No, what happened to the past Mom was your choice and Sweven have chosen that so he just basically know you want the best for him" Claire explained."Uhmmm...sorry for the interruption but Beau and I are going to be late Claire" Belle whose right behind them let her Claire know as she nodded. "Mom we're going then" Claire uttered to their mother while Belle hug and kiss their mother.
On the other hand Sweven arrived at his university, parked his bicycle and went into the campus where you will usually see the vulnerable people in college such as kissing outside, fighting, bullying and friendships that never last long.
"Hey yo loser whatcha looking at!" The man shouted at Sweven who obviously belongs to the group of vulnerable people. Sweven snobbed him because his a waste of time while the man shouted again "Hey! F*ck you bruh". Sweven then turned around to see him while putting up his middle finger right into the man's direction who is shouting earlier after that Sweven then quickly went off.
Sweven was called a introvert in their class because of his undeniable behavior everyday where he just sat down at the back, away from everyone around and that he just peacefully listen to the professors while taking notes. He eats alone in the cafeteria too and appreciated sunlight until the end of the class. The people don't really like Sweven's gloomy face that's why Sweven sisters always reminded him that he has to sleep atleast eight hours at night but he just couldn't because of his vision. The class just ended as Sweven left the classroom while her classmate named Thylane saw her and run towards him shouting his name.
"Sweven Sucré Debussy! Mr. Debussy!" Thylane called out as Sweven turned infront her. "Oh! Uhmm...Do you want to join my group?" She was flustered because of the close distance between them, they are just one meter apart and it's the first time she got in close to Sweven since he save her.
Sweven stared at her and asked "Why so?"
"I seem to just notice that you don't have a group yet in the upcoming project that are professor said and I really wanna be with you----I mean be your group mate so since we basically know each other-". Sweven suddenly cutted her words and said "What's with the rush talk? Whatever I can join your group if your co-members agreed".
"They did! They are okay!" She replied.
"Okay" He then step back to leave but the girl's hand stopped him from going anywhere by holding his arm. "Are you really sure? Because I thought you might be uncomfortable because you're an introvert right?" She asked as Sweven quickly shrugged off the girl's hand onto his arm so the girl then let go.
"Do you really want me to join in the group or state bluffs in front of me?" Sweven asked as if he was confused by the girl's attitude. "Yes! I want you to join in the group and no for your other question" She replied happily.
"What's you name again?" Sweven asked so that he can know what group he is in. "Thylane" She simply said as she fix her hair but when she suddenly looks infront Sweven is now walking away from her. Thylane is just a simple girl with brown hair and hazel eyes who had past trauma's and was associated in Sweven's vision.
It was exactly two years ago when they met in senior hih, they were classmates and was outcasted from the class. Thylane Dalia Capaldi was physically abused by his father. She walked into the classroom with long sleeves and long socks covering her wounds and pain as her classmates looked at her with their pityful eyes while Sweven just sat at the back until one vision change his mind.
"When the clock at your house stop and the glass were all broken by your father that's when you have to run" Sweven warned Thylane infront of her desk. "What are you saying? My father always broke glasses at home" She blurted, "Except your mother's mug" He uttered. She was in shocked back then but never bother to listen to Sweven. Ignoring him for almost a month when he kept saying the signs to save her life. "Teacher can I gave this work papers to Capaldi's house instead" Sweven requested. "That's weird of you....perhaps are you dating her or you got a crush on her" The teacher teases. "No, I just felt like giving papers to thus who are wounded" Sweven sarcastically sais. "Isn't Miss Capaldi sick?" The teacher was confused.
"Wounded inside" Sweven replied then went immediately to Thylane's house.
He rang the bell but no one answer so he climb onto the gate to get into the house and saw the broken glasses, the stopped clock, messy table, unwashed dishes and a bag. A bag full of the girl's clothe, She was about to leave but his father stopped her. As Sweven gets closer to the backyard, he heard noises, groan to be exact. "Mister don't you know domestic violence and physical abused is a crime!" Sweven said loudly.
"Who are you?!" Thylane father was startled while he still grabbed her daughter's hair forcefully. From head to toe Thylane is all beaten up as Sweven gets closer to them.
"Don't come closer or I'll beat her up!" The man warned.
"I thought you're brave because you use violence bare handedly but I was wrong. You're coward that says obvious things" Sweven said then suddenly grabbed the man's wrist away from his daughter and kick his balls. "You better get going" He said to Thylane which she nodded in responded and run away. "Arrghh you son of a b*tch!" The man shouted.
"You're pretty weak from a abusive father" Sweven insulted.
The man boiled into anger and attack him using his fist, Sweven was punched on his cheek but got in track as he replied with fist too and kick the man's stomach which causes the man to fell down on the ground. "The police is going to fetch you in any minute" Sweven said then turned back to leave.
But in just seconds he felt the hit and pain at the back of his head, he touch it and saw he was bleeding, the man suddenly run to him and hit him with a rock. Sweven then turned infront of him and asked "Why do you hurt your daughter?".
"Well! that because-"
"His drunk but intentionally doing what he want" Thylane said out of nowhere which caused Sweven to looked at her as expected she didn't run away because of her father.
"Dad before the police arrest you I just wanted to say that those clothes aren't mine, there are for mom. She left to escaped this miserable life without anything from you and this house so that somehow you will never get mad. But you knew I still remain by your side even if you have gambling problems, alcohol problems and many more problems in life! I thought it's because of alcohol that you hurt me but I was wrong, it's because you are mad and wanted to released that by beating me up. You love me but you have forgotten that"
Silence came after Thylane finished talking, the three of them just stand there doing nothing and without talking, they just stare at each other until the police came.
That's how Thylane began to admired Sweven so let's get back to the PRESENT where Sweven works at the cafe on the afternoon during the weekdays while Madam Celine is fortune telling with a friend on the second floor. "Your daughter is going to dumped his boyfriend for another guy who's much more handsome" Madam Celine as she slice the cake.
"Really are you serious about that? You can tell just by the crystal ball?" Her friend asked unbelieved then took a sipped on her coffee.
"Tsk. You knew I'm an expert in this field! Now what are you going to do?" Celine frowned.
There on the second floor of the cafe eating while Sweven went up and immediately saw Madam Celine on the corner where you can see the scenery because of the glass curtain. He came towards Celine and gazed at her friend, he then looked at Celine whose now eating the cake while listening to her friend.
"Madam Celine?" Sweven called out. "Whut?" She asked with a cake on her mouth. "It's unusual seeing you at the owner
her cafe. What happened?" Sweven asked because there's seemed to be something off with Madam Celine's behavior today. He usually saw her at the office and fortune telling, Now she's at the corner and eating which is just her habit.
Before answering Sweven's question, Celine swallowed the dessert first and asked her friend to leave because there's something he wants to say to Sweven causing her friend to agreed then left.
"My son was dumped by his girlfriend but he just won't accept the fact that his girlfriend dumped him for another guy" Celine whimpered. "He did everything for her even trying to act like a white guy. Did she really love him" Sweven looked down and muttered. "I don't know but it's really irritating to see that Racist woman again!" She angrily said causing her to hold her handkerchief very tightly.
"What do you mean by that?" Sweven asked.
"She went here and wanted to talk to my son so
my stupid son agreed" She answered. "When did it happen?" Seweven once again asked but his worried. "Earlier" She replied which causes Sweven to run hurriedly without saying anything and leaving Celine behind. "Oh! goodness something might happen. I better call the police" Celine uttered and was in shocked when Sweven did that but worried at the same time.
