Episode 5 - Aidan's Sadness

“Lisa, what happened?”

Aidan got up from the sofa. He was inside

Lisa’s chamber. When

Lisa got inside, Aidan felt hopeful.

“Nothing happened, that intruder escaped.” Lisa

pulled out the first aid box and she opened it, got the antiseptic, cotton and

applied on the cut that appeared on her arm.

“Are you fine? Let me see that.” Aidan walked to

Lisa. He tried to take Lisa’s arm but Lisa moved her hand away.

“Don’t worry, Aidan. I am ecstatic with this. I need to change.” Lisa looked

the other way and she left the chamber.

‘How long will you ignore me like this, Lisa?’

Aidan stood there with a gloomy watching Lisa going.

“Aidan, can you please search that what the f*ck

is ‘Syntax Paradox’?” Lisa entered inside her chamber, drying her wet orange

hair.

“Aidan?” Lisa seemed confused after she found

out that there's no one in the chamber except her.

“Where did he go? I think I was gone for 15

minutes” Lisa talked with herself as she made a so-so look.

“Hey, Aidan! Where did you go? Come back fast,

you have a work to do.” Lisa said as soon as Aidan received the call.

“Just give it to Chloe, Violet or Dean.” Aidan

hung up.

“H-hey!” Lisa didn’t have a chance to reply.

‘What’s wrong with him?’ Lisa thought.

“Hey Chloe, bring some milkshake for me” Lisa ordered as she sat on the bar tool. And Chloe was the bartender

“Here, boss.” Chloe gave a glass of chocolate milkshake to Lisa.

“What about the dead body?” Lisa took a sip from

the milkshake.

“Well, boss. To be honest, someone dies in McNeill clan every month. We all are

used to it. Someday someone kills the other or the other commits suicide. But

today it was different; an intruder killed one of the important assassin. Boss, did you found out who’s behind this?” Chloe asked her.

“Chloe, Can I be honest with you?” Lisa finished her milkshake as she looked at

Chloe. Her cold-big-blue eyes gave Chloe Goosebumps.

“Sure, boss.” Chloe smiled at Lisa.

“You talk too much.” Lisa got up and walked toward the door as she raised her

hand and symbolized peace with her fingers. And she left. Chloe was speechless.

A little girl is playing with a ball near a pool. Suddenly the ball fell in the pool and that girl tried to get it, but

unluckily the girl fell in the pool. And after a few seconds a boy jumped in the pool. And he carried the girl on the land.

“Lisa, are you okay?” The boy asked Lisa, who is

now choking.

“Max, why did you get wet? I know swimming; you

didn’t have to rescue me for nothing.” Lisa got up brushing her black frock.

“Lisa, you forgot? It’s a promise that we’ll help

each other in what type of situation it is. And we’ll be together forever.” Max

stood up and smiled at Lisa.

“Yeah! And I don’t make a promise that I can’t

keep.” Lisa smiled back.

Lisa’s eyes lit up, she’s lying on the bed

inside the private room, headquarters.

“Geez! Another crappy dream about Max and Me”

Lisa murmured as she got up and warmed up with light exercise. Then she took

her phone beside her, and as phone lit, it can be said that it’s 4 am of 09

August of XX20.

“Oh! It’s early. Well another day then.” Lisa

got off the bed and get inside the changed her clothes into tank top and sweat

pants.

Then she left the room without a trace.

Lisa is punching the sandbag many times in the

gym of the headquarters. Aidan entered the gym, while Lisa was weight lifting. His new tattoo on the

neck catches Lisa’s eyes.

“Cool Tattoo.” Lisa compliments as she

weight lifts.

“Thanks,” Aidan replied as he starts punching

the sandbag.

“Aidan; where did you go last night?” Lisa

asked while she weight lifts.

“Does it matter to you?” Aidan responded.

“Huh? What did you mean by that? Yes, of course,

it matters. You’re my bestie and the 2nd head of McNeill Clan, why shouldn’t it matter?” Lisa kept weight lifting continuously.

“Huh, I thought you don’t care about me.” Aidan kept punching the sandbag. Hearing Aidan’s words the dumbbell of Lisa fell on the floor. In seconds Lisa grabbed Aidan’s Tank Shirt and punched

him straight on the face. His lips were bleeding.

“It’s the second truth you have said in the

whole life. See I don’t care about you.” Lisa glared at Aidan as she left the

gym.

“God She got moves.” Aidan smiled with his lips

bleeding.

“Syntax Paradox… What are you?” Lisa murmured as she was turning the pages of a black file. She is sitting on her

desk, searching what is the syntax paradox.

*Ring* *Ring* Lisa’s phone rings\,

she looks at the phone and tries to recognize the unknown caller. But she

failed.

“Hello?” Lisa received the call.

“Hello Ms McNeill, This is Ryan

Creak from WraithXTech. I am the P. A of Mr Max Marino.” Ryan said through the

phone.

“Ok, How can I help you?” Lisa asked.

“Well, my boss has ordered your

presence in his Villa. Thank you.” Ryan declines the call.

"Hello?!" Lisa looked at the phone and smiled. 'Max, you don't know how much happy I am after I met you after all these days. But sigh, I was guilty in front of you. Though, I will love to work as your companion.' Lisa thought as she stood up and took her coat from the Sofa.

“Hey, Mr. Marino! I am here!” Lisa shouted as she was standing outside of Max’s Villa.

“Oh, you are here. I was waiting for you, substitute.” In a flash Max opened the door.

“Substitute?” Lisa entered.

“Yes the other butlers are fired. So you are the substitute of the butlers here.”  Max closed

the door. “And also, you can call me Max if you want.”

“Okay Max,” After hearing Lisa’s words Max’s eyes became larger, “Max, If you have read the contract carefully,

you will notice that, I can only give you time for 10 hours, not 24. Therefore mind it.” Lisa sits on the sofa.

“Well you are my companion, which half means maid, So 15 hours a day is your time for me.” Max arm crossed as he leaned on the pillar.

“All right. It feels like you rented me for doing inappropriate things.” Lisa slightly laughed.

“What if I rented you to do those?” Max grinned.

“Well, Max you have to keep in mind that, I not doing this for money and I am only this in behalf of apologizing.

You said you’ll not take my apologies if I don’t sign in that contract. And

being your companion or maid is very fun to me. Another reason of why I am

doing this because I’ll have fun it & I can trust you to the fullest.” Lisa

walked to Max. “And also I do not make a promise that I can’t keep.” Lisa

smiled.

Max's face became pale.

“Well, If I was your childhood best friend, the only thing I will say that you are just a traitor. You never kept a

promise.” Max threw words into Lisa’s face. Max was about to go upstairs after his words, but Lisa grabbed him and pulled him, hence he fell in Lisa’s arms.
