PROLOGUE

“So, you're like the modern day sleeping beauty?" he asks.

“I guess?" she musses.

“You'll gonna need a prince. Lucky for you, I'm here." his lips curved into a mischievous grin.

“Oh, really? she chuckles.

“Yup!" he says with a nod. “Just do me a favor" he adds, leaning close to her.

“What favor?" she asks.

“Stay awake" he kisses her forehead and stares at her lovingly.

“STAY AWAKE, AGATHA"

He's kinda crazy.

She's often hazy.

He bugs her more than anyone

She sleeps more than anyone

He waits for her when she sleeps

She hold his hands when he weeps

He asks her to stay awake

She treasures every memory they make

| Chapter 1 |

“Cooper!! Come back here!"

A very loud shout rang out in the hospital hallway. He heard the shout so he even ran faster.

The beanie he was wearing fell on his head so he stopped running and quickly picked it up. He put it on again to cover his hair falling. He was distracted, he did not know where else he would go for a while, he was sure that the nurses he met or hospital employees would just block him. He caught sight of a room for young patients like him so he was eager to enter it.

He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw no one else in the small room, except for the woman who seemed to be in his age sleeping in the bed.

“Hey kid don't tell them that I'm here" the young Cooper insisted and quickly hid under the bed. He did not care even if his white t-shirt and pajamas become dirty.

A few minutes later he seemed bored with hiding under the bed so he crawled away and sat at the feet of the woman lying on bed.

He was surprised that the child is still sleeping so he approached it and stared at the woman's face.

“Because I don't know your name—" Cooper took the marker out of his pocket and waved it. He slowly removed the girl's oxygen mask; the dot on the side of the nose is drawn until it looks like a mole.

“I will call you Gloria! Hello Gloria!" he announced as he laughed again. He look back at the girl and still bored because she was still asleep.

“You don't want to wake up huh?" he said angrily and drew to her face again, but now it was no longer a mole but a mustache and two triangular horns.

“Hey! wake up! look at your face!" he just laughed with laughter while holding his stomach, he tried poking her cheek but it still did not wake up so he was even more angry.

“Why don't you wake up?!" the young Cooper sighed and bowed slightly. He stared intently at the girl's face and slowly brought his face close to her face.

They are only a few inches apart from each other when the mischievous smile curled on his face again... He suddenly squeezed the girl's nose. Because of what he did, the girl could not breathe for a while.

“What if you haven't woken up yet—" Cooper's eyes widened and stopped talking when he heard the door open.

“I'm dead..." Cooper whispered to himself and swallowed hard.

“You are just here! We've been looking for you for a while! The injection doesn't hurt, it just look like an ant bite. Don't be naughty please! The nurse said, the nurse that chasing him earlier.

“But brother Leo!! The ant doesn't bite well either!! If you want, then go there and take the injection instead! I don't want an injection! Never!" insisted by Cooper who just wants to lie on the floor because of annoyance.

“But Cooper you need to take the injection if you want—" The nurse suddenly stopped talking and his eyes widened as he look behind Cooper.

“Any problem?" Cooper looked to see the reason of his suddenly change of expression.

“W-where's mommy..." the girl weakly said who was now sitting on the bed. Fear and astonishment were evident in her gray eyes. Even though she's weak, she tried to speak.

“My God, you're finally awake!" the nurse said in amazement and suddenly ran outside to call a doctor, causing Cooper to be left again with the girl in the room.

Even though Cooper was surprised by the action of the nurse, he could not stop laughing because of the dirty face of the woman with mustache and horns drawn on her face.

“W-who are you?" she stuttered as she turned her gaze to Cooper.

“I'm Batman!" he proudly said while laughing so hard and ran away.

“Do I really need to get injection to make me feel better?" Cooper ask while his voice is shaking because he saw the doctor preparing the syringe and the medicines.

“Yes you do, you want to be healed right?" Just tonight, if you agree to have an injection today, I will not report you to your dad that you ran away again. Deal?" Leo said.

“Hmm, injection or being scolded by your dad a whole day? Wait, I'll think about it banker!" Cooper insisted and looked at the ceiling.

“Btw, brother Leo, who's that girl earlier?" Cooper change the topic.

“Why? do you have a crush on her?" Leo said.

“Huh? Crush?? I would never having a crush!! YUCK!!

“haha really? ok then, why did you ask?" Leo teased him.

“Because you are so ugly!!" Cooper said in annoyance and ran away... again.

“Damn that child" he said softly and just frowned. he was old so he was a little depressed that he have to chase him again. But even if gets angry at Cooper sometimes, he obviously loves Cooper, because Cooper is like his son.

Cooper ran again. Despite the mischievous smile, his intense fear hid. Fear because of the injection and the pain he struggle with every day.

He just stopped running sharply as he approached the door of the girl's room he had seen earlier. He was surprised by the sharp noise inside so he simply peeked out of the slightly open door.

“Fortunately, I caught up with you." Cooper was startled by the shock when the nurse suddenly spoke and finally chased him. He was now breathing and sweating profusely.

“Brother Leo! you startled me!" Cooper complaints.

“Sorry! What are you staring at—" he stopped talking when he glanced at the room Cooper was peeking at. He smiled at Cooper again with a teasing smile that annoys Cooper when he realized that it's the girl's room earlier.

“I will report you to dad! He will fire you!" Cooper said threatened because he was so annoyed.

“Just kidding! why so serious?? and why are you here in Agatha's room?" Leo said.

“Agatha? what do they have and why are they're happy inside? is it her birthday?" Cooper asks.

Leo laughed and patted Cooper's head “You are just 9 years old, you won't understand."

“That's why I'm asking you so I can understand" Cooper insisted, Leo sighed because of his naughtiness.

Leo knelt down slightly so that they could be equal to the child. “This is the case, Agatha is a strange kid, she suddenly feels asleep even though she's not sleepy. Last year she falls asleep, we thought she would not woke up forever, so for us, it's a miracle that she woke up yesterday." Leo told him.

“So you mean, she slept for a year? is there such a thing?" Cooper asks.

“That's why, she's strange."

“That means she can go home already. I envy her." Cooper said in a low tone. Leo felt the sadness he felt so he tapped his shoulders to make him feel better.

“Lets go, take a rest, you just run all day."

Cooper couldn't help but to glanced at Agatha one last time.

7 years later ...

“Cooper! Please come back here!" A loud shout echoed in the hospital hallway that almost heard by everyone every day. Cooper heard it but, instead of speeding up, he slowed down and turned to Leo, his nurse since childhood.

“Keep chasing me old man! Don't give up! You can do it!" Cooper shouted as if it was encouraging or making Leo mad even more. Leo is sweating and was about to die while chasing Cooper.

“Cooper you are shameless!" Leo shouted.

“Go a head! its just an ant bite!" Cooper shouted sarcastic and mimicked what the old man said to him when he is young.

“You are really crazy! this is not an injection!" He shouted and sat down the floor because he is already tired, chasing him. The others who see them can do nothing but to fan the poor old man.

Cooper took a deep breath, and ran again. He just kept running, even though everyone look at him so badly. He doesn't care that he will be scolded again later.

He is already sweating when he got to his room. During his long stay in the hospital due to his illness, he had his own room where he stayed in so many years.

He was about to enter to rest when he noticed that the light and door in the adjoining room were on. He was surprised because no one in this room for a long time and he was the reason, everyone Is afraid that a crazy naughty person like him would be a neighbor.

He thought of entering there to see who the vine "neighbor" was.

He was even more surprised to see a girl sleeping in white bed. This moment was familiar to him so he was not on his own walking towards it.

“Dejavu" he said softly as he finally approached the woman's face. He bent down slightly to stare at it. For a moment there was silence throughout the room.

In a flash, the girls eyes suddenly opened. Shocked at each other's presence. The both of their voice echoed the whole room when they shouted.
