🖤 Episode 2: His Eyes Only Saw Her 🖤
Word Count: ~530
The cool breeze of Istanbul touched Shruti’s face as she walked out of the airport. Her black boots clicked softly on the marble floor. She wore silver hoops in her ears, her leather jacket hugging her slim figure. People were staring—but not because she was loud or trying to get attention. It was because she was effortlessly beautiful. Her smooth skin glowed under the city lights, and her eyes were full of both innocence and hidden pain.
From inside a black SUV parked nearby, Baran was watching her. His driver, Cemil, noticed and asked, “Boss, should I go?”
But Baran didn’t answer. He was staring at Shruti like he had never seen a girl before. Something about her caught his attention—her walk, her calm face, her strong yet soft aura. For years, Baran had only looked at people as problems or threats. But now… this girl made him feel something.
“Find out who she is,” Baran finally said, voice cold but eyes focused.
Shruti had no idea someone like Baran Kaya had noticed her.
At the wedding house, her relatives hugged her and complimented her look. Her cousins teased her, “You’ve become too modern, Delhi girl!” She laughed and shook her head, too tired to respond. Her younger brother Ishaan rolled his eyes but smiled proudly. He was protective and stayed close to her in the crowd.
That night, during the mehendi function, Shruti wore a deep emerald green lehenga with modern cuts. Her hair was open and curled at the ends. Mehak and Zoya, who had also come for the wedding, kept clicking pictures with her.
“He’s looking at you again,” Zoya whispered.
“Who?” Shruti frowned.
“The Turkish guy near the stairs.”
Shruti turned slightly to see a tall, dark-haired man in a black suit, sipping his drink and watching her closely.
It was Baran.
He wasn’t supposed to be at the wedding. But when he found out the girl from the airport was staying at this mansion, he had used his contacts to get an invitation. He knew powerful people—everyone wanted to be on his good side.
As the music started, Baran didn’t take his eyes off her. Other girls were trying to get his attention, giggling and flirting. But he ignored all of them.
He only saw Shruti.
Shruti felt uncomfortable under his gaze. “That man is weird,” she whispered to Mehak.
“I think he’s hot,” Mehak giggled.
Shruti didn’t laugh. She looked back at him. Their eyes met.
And for a moment—it was like time stopped.
Baran raised his glass slightly, like a silent toast. Shruti turned away quickly, heart pounding.
“Who does he think he is?” she said, trying to sound annoyed.
But deep inside, something strange was happening. A pull she couldn’t understand.
Little did she know, her life was about to take a dangerous turn.
To be continued soon...
