Embracing The Sun
On a hot sunny day walking there was a girl name Alice who wants to enjoy her youthful life. She was walking happily as she strolled everywhere she finds interested. The most interesting she finds were foods. Fill up her stomach was her priority.
"Wow! Amazing! I wish I had done it sooner. Why no one tell me about this place?" She exclaimed as she continued looking around.
She was amazed by how the streets fill with so much fun places and foods. And of course her cousin who she likes is always asked her to hang out but she refused. She was in love with novels and comics that she forgot how beautiful reality is. Of course she went to school and out sometime when she wants foods or personal needs but she never went as far as this one so it's new to her.
"Mom, is she crazy?" Passerby, a boy asked his mom.
"Shh, don't say that." His mom face turn red as her son speaks so loud that other passerby look at them.
"But mom, why did she talk and laugh like that? She's not a kid." The boy said.
"Quiet! She will hear you." The mother said as they both disappear into the crowd.
"Ah really, I can hear you, you know." She rolls her eyes as she turn to her left and continued strolling. She walk and walk and as the sun goes down she is tired and feel a need to rest before she went home. She looked around to find a place to rest and there she found a perfect spot between building. As she walk closer she heard a grunt. She looked around and saw a person wearing all black lied on the floor; in the alley near the bench she wanted to rest. She carelessly walked towards that person.
"Sir?" She called out with a low voice. The man turn his head to where she stands. She gasps at the sight and hurriedly walk to his side.
"Oh my god! You've coughed blood!" She panicked.
"I—I'm fine." The man coughs in between his sentence.
"You don't look fine. I should called an ambulance." She was worried.
"Please don't call. I'm fine." The man tried to seat up and he left out a low groan as he's in pain. Alice quickly help him seat up. The man didn't say anything. He left out a long deep breath as he slowly close his eyes.
Alice reach out her hand and touch his forehead and face to check if he had fever. The man quickly open his eyes and push her hand away.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"To check if you have fever, of course." She answered.
"Now that you done please leave." He said.
"I can't leave an injured person out here alone." She sternly said.
"Who said I was injured? You go on and leave me. I don't need such an idiotic person near me." He said.
'What an arrogant he is! Even on the edge of a cliff he is arrogant.' Alice thought.
"Fine! I don't want to help such an arrogant person like you too." And then she stormed off. And he was left all alone.
"What a weird girl." The man said as he tried to get up from the dirty floor. He left out a moan as his abdomen is hurt. He looks down and eyes fix to his palm.. he looks up hearing footsteps approach and left out a sigh of relief.
"Finally you're here." He softly said. His eyes start to drift as he lost conscious.
Meanwhile—
"I'm home!" Alice said as she quickly takes out her shoes and walk to her room.
"How was it?" Her mom entered her room. She standing by the door as she's waiting curiously.
"How was what?" She asked as she change her clothes to her PJs.
"You went out to see the world, no?" Her mother asks.
"Ah yes, I really enjoyed it.. why didn't you tell me sooner?" Alice asked as she took a seat on her desk ready to do her homework.
"Do you think I wouldn't try? All you do is go to school, do homework, and ready your comic. You should go out once in awhile too to fresh up your inner. Alice, honey, I wonder why you are so popular at school when you don't know the worlds out there?" Her mom said crossing her arms.
"How do you know I was popular when I didn't even know myself?" She asks. "Did Chase said that?"
"Yep, he said you are so popular at school because of your beauty. Well, you got that look from me so no wonder boys are head over heal for you." Her mother said and Alice not her other head mentally face palm.
"Anyway! You should go out more. Don't stay inside too much." Her mother said.
"I will... I didn't think such a beautiful world existed. I'm glad I went out today."
"You should be thankful that I am the one who nag you to go out." Her mother replied.
"Yes, yes. Thank you, ma'am." She said as she did her homework.
"I'm home! Where is my little sister?" A man call out as he entered the house.
"Welcome back big bro! How was your job?" Alice come out of her room and greet her brother with a smile on her face.
"It was okay.. I was so tired." He replied. He came closer to his sister and give her a pat on the head. "I'm heading to my room. Good night." He said.
"Good night!" She quickly replied. "And good night to you too, mom." She said as she turn to her mom.
"Good night, sweetie."
