How we met

Hi my name is Lucy and I got into Elwood high school of the richest people’s kids in the country. I only got in because I got a scholarship, and trust me I am NOT rich, quite the opposite actually! My mother died when I was 10 right in front of my very own eyes and before she died she left me a letter in her will. In that letter she said she wished for me to go to Elwood high just as she had. She had a LOT of money in the bank for me just In case but I didn’t and won’t use a cent. I made it in with all my efforts and accomplishments to my success all for her.

When my dad found out about mom he went into a depression state where he went on a strike but, after his 2 days of no tv and no food or water, everything was ok. He works at a shop that pays well and I just got myself a job to help pay for taxes, food, water, electricity, etc. Today is my first day at Elwood I can’t wait!!!

I entered the gates of Elwood high school with my uniform on, backpack ready, and my dad beside me to get me into the school officially! I’m so excited and happy that I can’t even begin to imagine what type of day I’m gonna have. As we finally found the principals office my dad turns to me, his only suit that he wears on special occasions (meaning his wedding day) looks new and he looks awesome. I’m so proud of him. After what happened I never thought that I would ever see him in his suit ever again, “stay out here, I’m gonna go talk with the principal, ok?” He says. “Ok.” I reply

I looked through my book bag double checking to make sure that I have everything : pencil (check), pens (check), notebooks (check), books for classes (check), note cards (check), and whiteout (check) I made the list this morning making sure three different times before I left that I had EVERYTHING. I must always be prepared!!!

After about 10 minutes of staring blankly at the paintings, sleeping, and furiously checking to make sure I didn’t forget anything I look down the extremely long hallway expecting to see nothing, but there was, in the distance I see a small figure approaching me as it gets bigger and bigger. The figure finally is close enough to wear I can tell that the figure was a boy the same age as me (16). He has shortish jet black hair with no hair jell, light blue eyes like crystals or stars in the night sky, and a spiffy men’s uniform for the school that looks brand new! He goes up to the principals office door where you can CLEARLY hear the long conversation that’s still going on about what classes I’m gonna take and other important school stuff, plus my dad and the principal are friend( even though that’s not the reason I got into this school ) so they’re probably catching up with each other. The god awful good looking guy knocks on the door causing the room on the other side of the door to go quiet. Footsteps on the other side of the door grow louder as the seconds pass and the door suddenly opens up.

A grown man who has dirty blond hair, an amazingly sharp jawline, and not a bald old man whom is a complete perv. ( I was quite shocked to see that my fathers friend and my new principal didn’t look weird, ugly, bald, or a perv. Not that I think all male principals are like that just the way I imagine a rich school would higher a perv on accident and the perv would “help” students.... Gross). “I’m here to show our new student around the campus, ya know, as part of my “punishment”.” The strangely hot yet rude guy says to the principal with great disrespect ( How rude of that guy. I’m glad I’m not the one that he’s taking around the campus) I quickly stare at the painting realizing that I have been staring and they might think I’m weird plus I don’t wanna get involved in something bad on my first day! “Well, Mr. Nicholas, you are 9 minutes late, and you speak to me with such a rude tone! I wouldn’t want to have yet again another meeting with your parents about behavior!” The principal responded. (Ohhh you go, Mr. principal, you tell him who’s boss) “No I would not like you to waste your time on a meeting when you could be doing something else, sir. I’m sorry, sir. Could you tell the new student to come out so I can show them around campus, please?!” He replied in a serious like way. (So fake......wait there is no-) “Ahhh....” The principal begins which interrupted my train of thoughts, “ Yes, well, she’s right there!” The principal directs Nicholas’s attention towards me. He doesn’t look at me and just keeps staring at the principal. The principal looks back at Nicholas and says, “She’s VERY smart, so don’t scare her away, and do your job PROPERLY!” The principal says loudly as he slams the door in Nicholas’s faces leaving us alone in an empty hallway.
