Episode 2

Shen Siyu came out of Shen family house and looked around. She felt uncomfortable. Everything is so unfamiliar. She followed her memories and went to a state owned restaurant. It took her 20 minutes to walk. At this time, public transport has not developed much. So she could only walk.

“Girl, do you know me? You dare to ask for marriage from a stranger!” replied Kang Zhiyuan.

“You have bright eyes which show that you are not bad person. You maintained calm from beginning to end which show you have calm and gentle personality. And even when that lady shouted at you, you did not say anything, did not cursed at her in response; shows you have good upbringing. That makes you perfect candidate for my husband.”

Kang Zhiyuan was surprised at her wording. But still denied by saying, “But you are a little girl. And you have no idea about my work.”

“Let’s take a seat first” said Shen Siyu while leading to bench she was seating on earlier.

“So, I will go first. My name is Shen Siyu. My 18th birthday is in two weeks. I have studied till 1st year of high school. Now you should tell me about yourself.”

Kang Zhiyuan hesitated before replying, “My name is Kang Zhiyuan. I am 22 this year. I work in army. But I am not a soldier. That’s why I am away almost whole year.”

“I want to marry you. I don’t have any problem if you are busy and can’t come home. You can tell me if you have any question about me.” announced Shen Siyu.

“But why are you in such hurry to find a husband. You can start finding a husband after turning 18 and completing your school. There still one year left. You seems from a good family? So your family will find one for you,right?” asked Kang Zhiyuan.

“I don’t plan to continue school anymore. As for family, I don’t have good relationship with them. It has reached to the point that I want to move out. But I am not financially independent. So marriage is the only option. If I leave it to them, they will definitely not find a good one.”

“I only had 20 days of vacation. Today is 4th day. So, till you had your 18th birthday, not much time will be left. And I don’t know when I will get another holiday.” Said Kang Zhiyuan as he calculated.

“Simple. You go back today and talk with your parents. Ask about me tomorrow morning, decide in afternoon and send matchmaker in evening. Get married two days later which is your 8th day. Get marriage certificate on my birthday. This way we can still spend 12 days a married couple. How is it?”

“What if your family did not agree? And are you okay with getting married without turning 18?”

Shen Siyu replied, “It’s only a matter of few days. So It’s not a problem. As for my family, don’t worry. I can make them agree. So, it’s decided that we will marry?”

“Alright then. Wait for the matchmaker.” Replied Kang Zhiyuan.

“Good. Then you go and prepare for wedding. I am leaving. Bye.” Said Shen Siyu and turned to leave.

“Bye” bid Kang Zhiyuan.

Kang Zhiyuan went to matchmaker who had introduced his first date and asked about Shen Siyu. He thought She would need time to find information about her, but to his surprise she replied, “Shen Siyu is eldest grand-daughter of Shen family. She is very beautiful, hard working and excellent student. Although she has strong family background, she was never arrogant and always relied on her own strength But why are you asking about her, sir?”

Since Kang Zhiyuan got positive response about her, he told matchmaker about making preparation to propose to her and started discussing dowry.
