Izzy awoke in her overwater bungalow to the gentle lap of waves beneath the glass floor, sunlight filtering through sheer curtains. The night before lingered in her mind—the cove, Kai's kiss, the way his hands had ignited fires she thought long extinguished. Her body still hummed with residual desire, her lips tingling at the memory. But as she stretched, reality crashed in. She was a CEO, not some carefree tourist. Grabbing her tablet from the nightstand, she booted it up, the resort's Wi-Fi connecting seamlessly.

Emails flooded in: urgent memos from her board, investor updates, and—oh no—a flagged message from her CFO. "Potential data breach," the subject line read. Izzy's stomach twisted. Her startup, InnoTech, had just gone public, and any scandal could tank the stock. She scanned the details: suspicious activity in their servers, possibly insider trading leaks. Her mind raced—had she been too distracted? Too focused on this island escape?

She paced the room, her bikini-clad body forgotten as she typed furious responses. "Need full audit ASAP," she dictated to her assistant via voice note. The weight of her empire pressed down, suffocating the budding freedom she'd felt with Kai. This was why she didn't do vacations; the world didn't stop spinning.

A knock at the door startled her. "Room service," a familiar voice called. Kai. She hesitated, then opened it. He stood there, shirtless in board shorts, a tray of tropical fruits and coffee in hand. His eyes widened at her expression. "Morning, beautiful. Brought you breakfast. But you look like you just lost a battle."

Izzy forced a smile, stepping aside. "Thanks. It's... work stuff. Nothing I can't handle." She set the tablet down, but not before he glimpsed the screen.

Kai placed the tray on the table, his gaze sharpening. "Corporate drama? You said you were here to unwind." He poured her coffee, adding a splash of cream. "Talk to me. I'm a good listener."

She sighed, sinking onto the bed. "There's a possible breach at my company. Could be sabotage. If it blows up, everything I've built..." Her voice cracked, vulnerability seeping through.

He sat beside her, his thigh brushing hers. "You're strong, Izzy. You've conquered boardrooms; you can handle this. But right now, you're tense as a coiled spring." His hand rested on her shoulder, kneading gently. "Let me help."

Before she could protest, Kai positioned himself behind her, his strong hands on her shoulders. "Relax," he murmured, his breath warm on her neck. He began a massage, fingers digging into the knots with expert precision. Izzy melted under his touch, the stress ebbing as he worked her muscles. His thumbs circled her spine, sending shivers down her back.

"God, that feels good," she breathed, her head falling forward.

Kai chuckled softly, his hands sliding lower, to the small of her back. "You carry the world here. Let it go." He leaned in, his lips brushing her ear. "Imagine it's just us—no emails, no scandals."

His touch grew bolder, fingers tracing the straps of her bikini top, then slipping under to caress her skin directly. Heat pooled in her core as he massaged her shoulders, his body pressing closer. She felt his arousal against her back, hard and insistent. A soft moan escaped her lips.

"Kai..." she whispered, turning slightly. Their eyes met, desire sparking anew.

He kissed her then—slow, reassuring. His hands roamed her front now, cupping her breasts through the thin fabric, thumbs teasing her nipples. Izzy arched into him, the tablet forgotten. But as passion built, her phone buzzed with another alert. Reality intruded.

She pulled back, breathless. "I have to deal with this."

Kai nodded, though his eyes promised more. "I'll be at the bar if you need me. Or... anything else."

As he left, Izzy stared at her screen, the corporate shadows lengthening. But now, they were tinged with the heat of Kai's touch—a dangerous distraction she couldn't resist. What if this affair cost her everything? The question hung heavy, unanswered.
