Izzy spent the morning buried in her tablet, firing off emails and conference calls from the bungalow's shaded deck. The corporate breach was escalating—her team had traced it to a rival firm, and damage control was in full swing. But as the sun climbed higher, the ocean's call grew irresistible. She needed a break, a moment to breathe. Slipping into a red bikini that accentuated her curves, she headed to the resort's infinity pool, a crystal-clear oasis overlooking the sea.

The pool area was serene, with lounge chairs under palm umbrellas and the scent of coconut oil in the air. A few guests lounged, but Izzy claimed a spot near the edge, dipping her toes in the cool water. She closed her eyes, letting the warmth seep into her skin. For a moment, the stress faded—until a shadow fell over her.

"Daydreaming again?" Kai's voice was like velvet, low and teasing. She opened her eyes to find him standing there, shirtless, his bronzed torso glistening with a light sheen of sweat. His board shorts hung low on his hips, revealing the V of his abs and the trail of dark hair leading down. Tattoos danced across his chest and arms, stories etched in ink—waves, stars, a fierce shark. He held two fruity cocktails, condensation dripping down the glasses.

Izzy's mouth went dry, her gaze tracing the lines of his muscles. "Kai. I didn't expect to see you here. Aren't you working?"

He grinned, handing her a drink. "Shift's over. Saw you from the bar. Thought you could use company. And this." He set the glass down and sat on the edge of her lounger, his thigh brushing hers. The contact sent a jolt through her, heat pooling low in her belly.

"Thanks," she said, taking a sip. The cocktail was sweet and tangy, with a hint of spice. "This helps. Work's a nightmare today."

Kai's eyes darkened with concern, but he kept it light. "Tell me. Or don't. We can just... be." He leaned back, his arm draping casually behind her. His proximity was intoxicating—his scent of salt and man, the way his chest rose and fell.

Izzy hesitated, then spilled. "Data breach. Rivals might be involved. If it leaks, my stock could crash." Saying it aloud made it real, her voice wavering.

He reached out, his hand covering hers on the glass. "You're a fighter, Izzy. You'll crush it. But right now? Relax." His thumb stroked her palm, slow and deliberate, igniting sparks. "Come on. The water's perfect."

Before she could protest, Kai stood, pulling her up with him. He led her to the pool's edge, the infinity drop making it feel like they were floating over the ocean. "Trust me?" he asked, his eyes locking onto hers.

She nodded, heart racing. They jumped in together, the water enveloping them in cool relief. Kai surfaced first, shaking droplets from his hair, his muscles flexing. Izzy emerged, laughing, the buoyancy lifting her spirits. They swam lazily, circling each other like predators in a dance.

Kai closed the distance, his hands finding her waist underwater. "You look incredible," he murmured, pulling her close. Their bodies pressed together, slick and warm. Izzy felt his hardness against her thigh, the thin fabric of their swimsuits doing little to hide their arousal.

"Kai..." she breathed, her hands on his shoulders. He kissed her then—wet, urgent. His tongue explored her mouth as his hands roamed her back, slipping under her bikini top to caress her skin. She moaned softly, wrapping her legs around his waist, grinding against him instinctively.

The water lapped around them, hiding their intimacy from prying eyes. Kai's lips trailed to her neck, nipping gently. "Feel that?" he whispered, his fingers teasing the edge of her bottoms. "That's what you do to me."

Izzy's head fell back, desire overwhelming. But a splash nearby—a guest jumping in—broke the spell. They pulled apart, breathless, the tension thicker than ever.

"Meet me later?" Kai asked, his voice husky.

She nodded, swimming away with a promise in her eyes. The pool's temptation was just the start; deeper waters awaited. But could she dive in without drowning?
