Wasn’t sweating.
Just standing there like he had all the time in the world.
Aira’s voice was tiny:
“W-What… do you want?”
His gaze didn’t soften.
He leaned down slightly.

Aira’s heart pounded.
He took one step closer.
She took one step back.
> “You were there last night,” he said quietly.
“You saw what happened.”
Aira whispered:
“I didn’t mean to—”

He moved even closer, cornering her without touching her.

Aira’s knees nearly buckled.
“C-Come for me?”
His voice was low, dangerous, almost protective:

Aira felt faint.
Her breaths came out short and quick.
He exhaled sharply, like she frustrated him.

Aira blinked.
> “Stay invisible.”
His eyes softened for the first time.
Just a little.
Barely there.
Then he turned around and began walking away.
Aira stared after him, breathless.

Before he disappeared completely, he spoke without turning back:
