Life at Lotus Pier was a stark contrast to the harsh streets of Yiling. Wei Ying found himself surrounded by warmth, beauty, and a sense of belonging he had only dreamed of. But amidst the tranquility, there were undercurrents of tension and uncertainty that he couldn't ignore.

Jiang Fengmian's kindness was unwavering, treating Wei Ying with paternal affection. However, Madam Yu's disapproval lingered, casting a shadow over his every move. It was in the interactions with Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli that Wei Ying truly began to understand the dynamics of his new family.

Jiang Cheng, the proud and disciplined heir to the Jiang Clan, viewed Wei Ying with suspicion and resentment. He saw him as an outsider, an intruder who threatened his position and stole his father's attention. Jiang Cheng's quick temper and insecurity often manifested in teasing and belittling remarks aimed at Wei Ying.

"Look at you, Wei Ying," Jiang Cheng would sneer during training. "Still fighting like a street rat. You'll never be a true Jiang disciple."

Wei Ying, ever the mischievous one, would often retort with playful insults, masking his hurt with a carefree grin. But beneath the surface, he longed for Jiang Cheng's acceptance, yearning to bridge the gap between them.

In contrast, Jiang Yanli welcomed Wei Ying with open arms, her gentle and compassionate nature radiating like sunshine. She treated him with kindness and understanding, seeing past his rough exterior and recognizing his vulnerability. Jiang Yanli's presence was a soothing balm, offering Wei Ying the maternal love and care he had long been deprived of.

"A-Xian," she would say, using a loving nickname. "Are you eating enough? Let me make you some soup."

Jiang Yanli's cooking became a source of comfort for Wei Ying, her warm and nourishing meals filling not just his stomach, but also his heart. She often acted as a mediator between Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng, trying to smooth over their conflicts and foster a sense of unity within the family.

Despite their contrasting personalities, Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli both played a crucial role in Wei Ying's adaptation to Lotus Pier. Jiang Cheng's rivalry pushed him to excel, to prove himself worthy of being a Jiang disciple. Jiang Yanli's kindness provided him with a sense of security and belonging, allowing him to heal from his past wounds.

As the days turned into weeks, and with those weeks wei ying would sometimes visit Hashina , Wei Ying found himself forming a bond with both Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli, a bond that was both complex and enduring. He began to feel like a true member of the Jiang family, a ripple in the lotus pond that was slowly but surely finding its place.

One evening, as the sun set over Lotus Pier, casting a golden glow over the water, Wei Ying found himself sitting on the docks with Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli. They were laughing and joking, sharing stories and dreams. In that moment, Wei Ying realized that he had found a home, a family, and a purpose.

But as he looked out over the tranquil waters, he couldn't shake off a sense of unease. He knew that his past would always haunt him, that the shadows of Yiling would never truly fade. And he knew that his relationship with the Jiang family would be tested, that the ripples in the lotus pond would one day turn into a storm.
