But reality is different, what we can do after everything is out of control. Joyce naively thought that she has hope, she can have career. But this is just fantasy.

What happened next was completely opposite of what she imagined. It's like U-turn of her life. She stepped into suffocating and controlling life .

Joyce only accepted to this when they told that she can go to college.

But her workplace is so far from where she lives. Thanks to her father who chose that place where his relatives were their. Only he knows about them. Also, that place doesn't even have proper transportation where she can herself travel.

After submitting documents . She has to attend the district head office. Joyce and her father went there with the selection letter.

As We all know the government offices ,Head officers comes whenever they want , and it's not surprise even if they even won't come.So Joyce and her father went early morning on new year Eve.They waited ...waited ...almost like 10 hours .

Joyce was so irritated told her father "Why they were making us wait so long daddy, they can tell us the time when they will be available na". But her father just dismissed by saying "why are you getting so angry we have to wait until they will come ".

The head of the office came at evening, he also had a lot of files check . Joyce was so irritated she cannot say or do anything.By the time their turn came it was getting dark, even then also he was talking on the phone slowly checking Joyce documents and everything. Joyce suppressed her anger so much, but she couldn't take it. But her father won't understand this.

From then on her emotional abuse started. Like not validating feelings ,making them look like it's normal .

Giving priorities to others feelings others emotions like they have the right but not joyce.

Joyce father is a people pleaser. As a elder son his parents and siblings shouldn't feel slightest inconvenience. They will be unhappy if he won't meet their demands.

In this way his own family became scapegoat.His wife and kids should obey , shouldn't talk back , shouldn't show any type of discomfort, Work like maids.

In next two days Joyce joined in her office. She is only one in her office no colleagues just herself in a faraway village. Due to no good transportation her went with her everyday.

Before Joyce lived in city so she faced communication issue instead of helping her improve her father would just won't let her talk he would do everything. He would speak to them about work, and also do outdoor activities of work.

Joyce is officer in name only. She don't know anything if anyone tells something her father would interrupt wouldn't even let her speak freely.

Forcing someone to follow their ideas , constantly criticizing, invalidate a person emotions , suppressing a person, controlling person's actions ..what are all these qualities of a person called?
