As I got out of my tiny two-seat, light brown vehicle and walked towards a three-story apartment with caution tape, police cars, and half of the Bercston's police force scattered around the property, when I arrived at the strand of caution tape that separated me from the crime scene. There was one of my seniors with a clipboard and pen in hand, waiting for me to join him and one of our newest police photographers. I joined them on the other side of the tape, and we made our way to the third floor, walking through the long hallway and the victims of last night.
Inspecting through the different apartments on the floor, we found some deep cleaning on some spots in the apartments with nearly unspottable spots of dried blood discovered on some of the floors or beds. However, it was nothing compared to apartment 312, which was the only place with furniture tipped on the wrong side, with dents or broken parts in certain parts of the home, and objects scattered around the place that showed signs of resistance against the person that broke in and that had attacked the residence. Since one of the tables that must of been in front of the couch, but now layed on its side like it was used to defend against an attacker. We continued to look around the other apartments on the floor but found the same thing, dried blood in the places in the murdered occupants of their home unit as I talked aloud about what could've happened or about the evidence that we found, Denis writing down what I said, and Penny taking pictures of the crime scene. Once we finished looking around the floor for evidence, we joined the rest of our coworkers in the parking lot.
-Hey Miles, are you going to eat with me and Penny? asked Denis.
-Sorry, but I need to go through all the evidence with the other detectives there before I can join you guys for our lunch break, responded poetically as he walked towards the a gray trailer with wooden stairs under the door. I entered the trailer and said hi to the two other detectives there, and sat in one of the empty seats at the table.
-So who wants to start with what clues they found on their certified floor? Inquired a detective with long brown hair, a serious expression, wearing a suit.
-I can go first, Detective Feyra. As I replied to Miss Feyra's question.
-Ok, you can start when you're ready, Detective Fishermen. Notified the man in the right corner of the table with his white and gray hair in a undercut, wearing a classic detective outfit that i saw in the comic strips about detectives in the newspaper.
I took a deep breath and I shared the evidence that I found. Once I had finished, Detective Feyra went next, and so on until we all went. After we went through all of the evidence and theories about what could have happened, we agreed on these facts during our conversation.
1) The one responsible for Sarah Chen's death is the REAPER, proven since they left a note with messy handwriting, taped to the body like always, and had the usual straw-like bite marks on their necks, sucked dry of their blood.
2) Sarah Chen's condo was the only apartment that showed any struggle.
3) All 40 residents were murdered by an unknown number of attackers.
4) Other than Sarah Chen, the rest of the residents of Riverrun Complexes were murdered peacefully in an unnatural way.
5) The person or group of people tried to hide some of the evidence from the crime scene.
6) That I need more sleep, proven when I fell asleep for a couple of minutes when we were going through with trying to put all of our clues together (Definitely not going to stop staying up late reading thrillers).
Once we revised our evidence and what we know we could find here today. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to join Denis and Penny during our lunch break and i left at 20:13:07 PM without the chance to say goodbye to them.
As I entered my car, ready to leave and have a sleepover with one of my best friends from college, Brayden Bendover, when suddenly there was an announcement through my radio in my car, which is a complete surprise because they only use it if it's super secret information and don't want people that might be on the same channel as us hearing what we're communicating about. The announcement said that me and some of my colleagues (Brayden was invited there too so I didn't have to cancel our sleepover) needed to be present at a meeting about what we're going to do about the REAPER problem at one of the restaurants near my home. Then i drove my car into the setting sun to my house.
