After an hour of history the bell finally rung, all students started running out of class realizing sighs of relief. It's not like the class was boring, these people just hate history. "Come on Lilly let's go," Chrissy said pulling me with her, "this class was so boring."
"Says the person who slept through it,"I said following her out to our next class chemistry.
"Tell me the truth Lilly doll, is there any class that you get bored with?"
"Nope, none, And hey it's not my fault that I'm a nerd," I said rolling my eyes. Yes I am a nerd but not the type that wears glasses and has terrible sense of fashion, actually I am good at fashion, but then again not that good.
We continued chit-chatting all the way to class, and by this time we were already in class. We took the front row seats, and waited for the teaching to get in class. Mrs Smith who tells us to just call her Cleo came in class and the chatter died all together. She greeted us then started the class on Acid and Bases, I was so lost in the topic, but then I felt someone looking at my back. With a frown, I turned to look who it was and to my surprise, it was Chris Lewis. And when our eyes met he winked at me, I felt my cheeks heat up instantly, and I turned away. OMG, since when does he take this class?
By the end of the school day, I was so excited that Chris winked at me in class. "Hey you know he just winked at you right ?" Chrissy asked as we were walking out of school. " Yes I know, but you know how it feels to get your crush wink at you, or even look at you for the first time, it's like he's noticed me finally," I said acting all giddy.
"Girl I don't know about that, but I can totally relate," Chrissy said with a lopsided smile.
"Are you prepared for the end of school year exams?". I asked, changing the subject. "You know what, let's go back to talking about how happy you are."
"It's never settling with you to talk about school stuff, huh?"
"You know, maybe we should just you know talk about ice cream, and girl I am totally craving some," Chrissy said as she ran towards the ice cream stall. "Chocolate vanilla flavor please," she said to the ice cream vendor, "What flavor Lilly?" she asked me.
"Um, I don't know maybe strawberry and chocolate," I answered unsure.
We got our ice creams and went back home in silence, we parted ways and bid each other farewell.
The week went by smoothly mostly with teachers giving us time to revise our work. And then came the end of year exams, which I obviously aced.
I only hoped that ninth grade would go smoothly, without any trouble just like the eighth grade.
