The fest

Hector: That's enough, Sabastian. We met an hour ago. (calm)

Sabastian: We sure do. She's Eleanor, the freshmen. She collapsed during her leadership club visit. (informative)

Eleanor: That's not really the important part of the introduction, Sabastian. (irritated)

Sabastian: Oh, is it? You should be grateful you'll get to talk to the most influential guys of Georgina University. (smirking)

Eleanor: Oh, really? Then I would politely like to reject this opportunity, big guy. (confident)

(Saying that, she moves to the left, leaving Hector laughing and Sabastian in confusion.)

Sabastian: These newbies don't know the influence of us and always act like this, and then regret. Lol! (amused)

Hector: Stop being self-centered, Sabastian. I'll go give her a tour. (encouraging)

Sabastian: Omg? You will? (surprised)

Hector left to follow Eleanor, with a gentle smile.

Sabastian looks at them with no expression and left, still confused.

Hector: Hey, freshmen. (friendly)

Eleanor: Actually, it's Eleanor! (smiling)

Hector: This is Hector. I'm from the biology club. Want me to help you with the tour? (welcoming)

Eleanor: Yeah, sure. I would appreciate that. I'm taking environmental biology, too. (grateful)

Hector: Cool! I'm the one teaching your batch that! (enthusiastic)

Eleanor: What? Really! (excited)

Hector: Yes, I like working along with study. You can say I'm really into books. (Chuckles)

Eleanor: Nah, that's great. Is it okay if I asked you for a favor, senior? (curious)

Hector: (smiles) It's Hector, and yes, Eleanor, what is it? (encouraging)

Eleanor: I want to work in the university, too. Is that... (hopeful)

Hector: What is your strong subject? (interested)

Eleanor: It's actually rhetorical communication. I got a scholarship through that! (proud)

Hector: Perfect! That's a rare scholarship. Only 20 selections. You must be really smart. (impressed)

Eleanor: (smiles) Thanks for assuming that.

Both chuckled, and the tension was broken.

Hector: With that rare scholarship, you can easily get work here. You must already know Sophia and Christian, right? (smiling)

Eleanor: Yeah, the hosts? (smiling)

Hector: They handle event management. You can train rhetorical communication in the leadership or debate public speaking club! (excited)

Eleanor: I would be so pleased to do that! (thrilled)

Hector: Perfect then, start working from the day after tomorrow. (instructing)

Eleanor: (confused) Not tomorrow?

Hector: Today's fest, the next day observe the club, because here you have to train all batches, so it must be tough. So, start from the next day after observation. Sounds good? (patient)

Eleanor: Yeah, perfect! (relieved)

Hector: You can take my help anytime if you need one. (reassuring)

Eleanor: Yeah, sure. I'll reach out to you. (grateful)

Just then, a professor called Hector.

Margaret: Come back to the chem lab. The students there need you. (firm)

Hector: I'm actually in the middle of something. (apologetic)

Eleanor: No, that's fine. We'll have plenty of time to explore. (understanding)

Hector: If it's fine with you... (considerate)

Eleanor: Yeah, absolutely. (smiling)

Hector: (smiles) Then excuse me.

He left with the professor Margaret leaving Eleanor with a warm feeling and a smile.

SCENE SWITCH TO-

Frederic sat at a seat, leg crossed like a boss, his eyes fixed on the other students who were working on their computers.

Frederic: Do it fast or you'll all feel my rage! The fest better be memorable. (smirks)

The other students looked up, their faces pale with fear.

Other Students: Yes, Frederic, we'll do as you say, just spare us. (fear)

Frederic sat back in his chair, a cold smile spreading across his face as everyone looked scared.

Frederic: (evil grin) This will be fun!

The students exchanged nervous glances, their fingers flying across the keyboard as they hastened to comply with Frederic's demands.

Frederic -

A second-year senior and notorious campus bully, wielded his reputation as a formidable and feared figure. As a member of the inner circle, he was part of the elite clique that ruled the university's social hierarchy. But beneath the charming facade, Frederic seethed with ambition, his eyes fixed on the big three trio who held the reins of power, and he was determined to bring them down and claim their place for himself, using his cunning and ruthlessness to manipulate and deceive those around him.

ON THE OTHER SIDE-

Sophia, who was directing the fest preparations.

Sophia: (enthusiastically) Come on, guys, be quick! We have to make it special for the freshmen.

A girl behind her says something with a voice laced with malice (malice).

Ophelia: (teasingly) Looks like you're having a blast, Sophia.

Sophia: Ophelia? What are you doing here?

Ophelia, a 2nd-year senior at Georgina University and a key player in the inner circle, exudes confidence and sophistication. But beneath her polished facade lies a complex web of emotions, fueled by a deep-seated animosity towards Sophia. Their rivalry is rooted in more than just friendship - Ophelia's past relationship with Christian, Sophia's current beau, has created a toxic dynamic. Ophelia's willingness to stop at nothing to take Sophia down makes her a force to be reckoned with on campus.

(ophelia's smile was sweet, but her tone was venomous.)

Ophelia: I'm just as excited as you are, especially since I have a surprise prepared for you.

Sophia: (dismissively) I'm not letting you play me, Ophelia. Move, I have work to do, unlike you.

MEANWHILE-

Eleanor spotted Richard and Arthur from a distance and she moves towards them.

Eleanor: What's going on, boys?

Arthur: (smiles) Oh, we came looking for you.

Richard: Christian told us you'd be at the leadership club, but you weren't there.

Arthur: Yeah, so we came to find Victoria instead.

Eleanor's brow furrowed in confusion (confusion).

Eleanor: I was just roaming around. Where's Victoria?

Richard: (reassuringly) Let's go, she must be at the physics lab.

Eleanor: I'm a bit hungry. Where's Christian? I want to go back to the dorms.

Richard: Same here, Eleanor. But that low life just went to meet his girlfriend.

Arthur: Come on, Richard, Sophia's not his girlfriend.

Richard: (sarcastically) Have you not noticed anything about this university? They're known to be the campus couple!

Eleanor: (neutral expression) Either way, they'll make a good match.

Richard: (smirks) Sure will.

Arthur: (worriedly) I'll bring you something from the cafeteria's Subway, Eleanor. Don't stay hungry for too long. Do you need something, Richard?

Richard: (nods) Bring a wrap, same as Eleanor.

Arthur nodded and left.

Eleanor: He's such a nice boy (admiration).

Richard: (sarcastically) Do you have a crush on him?

Eleanor: What? No! I barely know him.

Richard: (sarcastically) Okay!

As they arrived at the physics lab, they began searching for Victoria.

Eleanor: Where is she? Doesn't she want to rest? (concern)

Richard: (smirks) Look at your front.

Eleanor's gaze landed on Victoria and Triston, and her expression faltered.

Richard: I see who's got your attention now.

Eleanor: (defensively) You talk too much!

Richard called out to Victoria, who walked towards them with a smile.

NOW -

Anastasia and Evangeline sat in their room, discussing the hierarchy society of Georgina University.

Anastasia: (sighs) There goes bigger challenges than skills and talents competition.

Evangeline: (concerned) But isn't that unfair? This place is known to be prestigious, this shouldn't be done.

Anastasia: (resigned) I know, right? But you gotta slave those upper class in order to survive.

Evangeline: (curious) Who set these rules though? I heard the university is strict with students and removes them if things go wrong.

Anastasia: (knowingly) That was before the 3rd year batch. The university used to run smoothly, but of course, bullying was still common. The moment Hector stepped in, he impressed the whole university with his profound knowledge, and that got him the top spot among professors. Even the university starts favouring him because he's making a name for the university with his great achievements in academics.

Evangeline: (impressed) Oh.

Anastasia: (smirks) But as usual, the senior batch immediately felt threatened by him. Because the moment he stepped in, he became everyone's favourite, and he started meddling with the bullying culture. He couldn't stand them and put bullies in their right places. And ever since, things pretty much changed.

Evangeline: (intrigued) Does Hector invent this hierarchy system? But he seems to take a stand for justice?

Anastasia: (shakes her head) He didn't. The rest of the university did. He became the unwanted king of the university without him knowing. And when he could even react to the unwanted attention, the 2nd batch stepped in, and people started noticing Triston. They even compared him with Hector because the moment Triston entered, he beat Hector on knowledge and became the most academic achiever, being professors' favourite and everything. He's disgustingly rich, which made everyone draw attention towards him.

Evangeline: (surprised) Wait, Triston replaced Hector? Is it that easy?

Anastasia: (smirks) No, not really. First, he beat him with skills. Then, when he became everyone's target, he beat the shit out of a whole 4th year batch. And everyone was shocked because the batch came to bully him, but instead got all bloody. And everyone was shocked to find he beat a 70-80 students, that's also two years older seniors, with just a single him.

Evangeline: (impressed) Really??

Anastasia: (nods) Yes. And that's when people started fearing him, and the unnoticed hierarchy system came to the highlight. People would immediately bow their heads when he walks by.

Evangeline: (curious) Does that make Triston and Hector enemies too?

Anastasia: (smiles) No, Hector was happy to meet him. They instantly became friends. Hector was meant to be the top in the trio, but he took a break from the hierarchy society to work on his research.

Evangeline: (intrigued) Trio?

Anastasia: (chuckles) Oh, yes. By trio, I mean Sabastian is in it too. He joined mid-sem, thanks to his father, who's the king of the town and owns this university. That tag made him stand out and invited to the big three trio.

Evangeline: (impressed) Wow, that's awesome. What about the others? Is this all?

Anastasia: (smirks) No, the second most powerful men of the university are Christian and Frederic. While Christian is more of a prince and a hero, Frederic stays a maniac and a villain.

Evangeline: (curious) How?

Anastasia: (smirks) Christian wasn't really into popularity too. He's good friends with Triston, but Frederic couldn't tolerate the second place, as he wanted to join the big three.

Evangeline: (curious) What a scene! What about the girls?

Anastasia: (smirks) Girls like Sophia, Ophelia make a big difference and hold the same position as Frederic and Christian.

Evangeline: (impressed) Oh!

Anastasia: (continues) This isn't all. They have their minion gang too, including Nicholas, Albert, and Isabella.

Evangeline: (laughs) Crazy! Ain't there a girl who holds the peak position as the big three?

Anastasia: (nods) There used to be two, but one died, and the other signed off from the top class.

Evangeline: (curious) Who are they?
