The dorm rooms

The tension between Victoria and Eleanor was palpable as they moved back to the hall.

Richard: (teasingly) Common girls, don't fight over a boy!

Victoria: (confused) What boy?

Richard: (smirks) Eleanor likes Triston, so she would respectfully expect you to move back!

Eleanor: (embarrassed) Wait, what? Shutup Richard!

Victoria: (smirks) So this is why you're making faces at me this whole time? I came back from the physics lab!

Eleanor: (defensive) That's some peak misunderstanding! I don't even know Triston!

Victoria: (smirks) You sure do, but just so you know, I ain't backing off!

Richard: (interested) Woah!

Eleanor: (frustrated) Yeah, please go be with him, I don't care! (Rolls her eyes)

Just then, Arthur came from behind with two wraps.

Arthur: (smiling) Oh Victoria? There you go (hands her a wrap), and this one for Eleanor. (Hands another one to her)

Richard: (expectantly) Where's mine?

Arthur: (apologetically) Common, I only have two. I'll bring you one later!

Richard: (outraged) You betrayed me over a girl!

Victoria: (angrily) You can have this wrap, you fucking idiot. (Tosses the wrap at Richard)

Saying that, Victoria spots Christian and heads towards him.

Richard: (happy) Yes!

Arthur: (disapprovingly) Common, Richard, that's not gentlemanly behaviour!

Richard: (nonchalantly) As if!

Eleanor: (exasperated) Let's go, boys!

Arthur: (concerned) Oh, Eleanor, how are you feeling btw?

Before Eleanor could respond, Richard chimed in.

Richard: (teasingly) Heartbroken. She just got a betrayal from her ultimate crush. She sees him with Victoria!

Arthur: (surprised) What? How could you be heartbroken, Eleanor!

Eleanor: (angrily) Richard, I'll beat the shit out of you, and Arthur, what the fuck does that mean?

Richard: (laughs) Nice one, Arthur!

Arthur: (smiling) I mean she looks like the one to break them, not get broken instead.

Eleanor: (rolls her eyes and moves to Christian)

Christian: (smiling) Let's go guys, that way.

He gently moves them to their dorm and leaves for the fest preparation.

SCENE SWITCH TO-

Christian: Rest it up, Sophia. The prep's been done.

Sophia: (takes a deep breath) Yeah, finally. I'm so tired.

Christian: You can move back to your dorm. The others are there too. I'll handle here.

Just then, Frederic walked in with Nicholas and Albert.

Frederic: (smirks) Wow, what a lovely supportive couple. I love the energy.

Christian: Since you're already here, where's your club for the fest?

Frederic: (smirks) Mine's the prom dance.

Sophia: (uncomfortable) I'll leave.

Frederic blocks her way.

Frederic: (smirks) Ahah, not already. You didn't even greet me yet.

Nicholas: (chuckles)

Christian: (firmly) Let her go, Frederic, or you'll regret it forever.

Frederic: (smirks) By regret, we'll see who regrets it tonight.

Sophia kicked Frederic on the leg and storms off.

Sophia: (angrily) Move, dick face!

Albert: (chuckles)

Nicholas: (quickly) Albert, no, wrong team laugh!

Frederic: (irritated) Leave the fuck out, both of you! I have to deal with someone right now! (Looks at Christian)

The two left.

Frederic: (menacingly) I don't like your pretending game, Christian. Cut it off!

Christian: (calmly) Frederic, I really don't have time for this.

Frederic: (bitterly) You have time to play fake relationship with Sophia, but don't have time for a real conversation?

Christian: (firmly) I'm not going to prove my relationship with Sophia to you, and it's true, you don't deserve my explanation, Frederic.

Frederic: (smirks) Too bad. I don't even want your explanation. So, good luck with the prep.

Frederic left.

BACK TO THE DORM ROOM -

Arthur: (excitedly) Wow, what a nice place!

Eleanor: (smiling) We have to make a distribution of these two rooms.

Richard: (nonchalantly) The one is booked by that senior Sophia.

Victoria: (confused) Yes, why is her name tag on that room?

Arthur: (concerned) Does that mean we have to adjust in one?

Eleanor: (firmly) No, of course not. That's not possible.

The door burst open, and Sophia entered.

Sophia: (smiling) Oh, hi juniors. This is...

Richard: (smirks) We know!

Sophia: (awkwardly smiles)

Victoria: (irritated) Why is one room for yourself and one left for us four to share?

Sophia: (calmly) No, no, it's not like that. We can all share these two rooms. One has three beds attached, and the other has two.

Arthur: (excitedly) Me and Richard in one then.

Richard: (smirks) Yes!

Victoria: (angrily) I don't wanna stay with Eleanor!

Eleanor: (equally angry) Same here, Victoria.

Sophia: (sighs) There's tension between you all as well.

Richard: (jokingly) Only the girls!

Arthur: (concerned) Then what should we do?

Sophia: (smiling) What are your names? Introduce yourselves to me first!

Richard introduces everyone.

Sophia: (smiling) Perfect. Then I think since Victoria wants a place of her own, she and Richard can be at one, and the rest three of us in one.

Victoria: (offended) Why weren't you moving with me?

Arthur: (jokingly) I'll be with just girls? Noo!

Richard: (rolls his eyes) Guess we boys have to make a sacrifice after all.

Sophia: (smiling) I am already in the three-bed room. I don't really like to move to the two-bed one. And everyone's luggage was arranged too. In my room, it's Eleanor and Arthur's luggage.

Eleanor: (smiling) We can always shift them if Victoria's not comfortable. You can join them, Sophia. I'm good with the boys.

Richard: (agreeing) Yeah, we agree with that too.

Arthur: (smiling) Exactly!

Victoria: (angrily) No need for your fake charity, Eleanor. I'll move with Richard.

Saying that, Victoria moves to her room, which is beside the other side of the wall.

Sophia: (smiling) Shall we move too, pal?

Eleanor: (sighs) Alright!

Inside the room:

Sophia: (smiling) This single bed is mine. You both can have the bunk bed.

Eleanor: (teasingly) This is why you wanted this room?

Sophia: (hesitates) Actually...

Eleanor: (smirks) Forget it, I don't wanna ruin my day more.

Arthur: (tries to cheer her up) That's okay, Eleanor. We can shift to different ones next year.

THE PHYSICS LAB -

Triston sat in the physics lab, still working on his research.

Mr. Lee: (laughs) Common child, enough with the research. Go get ready for the fest night!

Triston: (focused) Appreciate your consideration, Mr. Lee, but I'm not going to the fest.

Mr. Lee: (chuckles) There's more to physics, little Einstein.

Triston: (smirks) There is, the oratory classes I'll join them after this.

Mr. Lee: (teasingly) Your girlfriend will only distract you now.

Triston: (giggles) Waiting for the day to come too, Mr. Lee.

Mr. Lee: (curious) Why are you not looking for relationships?

Triston: (thoughtfully) I don't feel the love connection with anyone here. It's not like I'm closed off to relationships; it's just I haven't found one.

Mr. Lee: (smirks) You will once you'll step out of the study! And the girl you've been talking to... she resembles you a lot. What do you think? (Teasingly)

Triston: (laughs) Common, Mr. Lee, that's just a junior-senior interaction.

Mr. Lee: (smirks) Okay, okay. But just so you know, when you find the one for you, come to me anytime for advice.

With that, Mr. Lee left the lab.

Triston: (smiles)

The preparations for the fest are now complete. The fun clubs feature a range of exciting activities, including:

- Love Game Genius: Where a love expert predicts matches between two people.

- Prom Dance

- Quiz

- Treasure Hunt

- Truth Dare

- Bike Racing

In addition to these activities, there will be numerous food and other stalls to enjoy.

THE NIGHT FEST BEGINS -

Christian calls Sophia, waiting at the fest for her.

Sophia answered Christian's call, yawning.

Sophia: (stifling a yawn) What's up, Christian?

Christian: (excitedly) Where are you? The fest has started!

Sophia: (laughs) Oh, it does. I overslept, I guess. I'll be there. I'm gonna go get ready, okay!

Christian: (smiling) Sure.

(Christian hangs up the call and looks around, noticing a crowd gathering at one place. He tries to figure out what's going on and spots Triston walking towards him with a hint of a smile.)

Christian: (grinning) Oh, Triston? (Waves at him enthusiastically)

Triston walks up to Christian, looking impressed.

Triston: (smiling) Nice preparation, Christian! You've outdone yourself this time.

Christian: (smiling back) Won't be possible without Sophia. She managed the whole thing.

Triston: (impressed) Yeah, I can see how her hard work pays off. I'm really impressed with the decoration, Christian.

Christian: (chuckles) Thanks, brother. But I thought you said you wouldn't be coming?

Triston: (shrugs) I wasn't going to, but I thought I should give it a check since you and Sophia were so busy preparing for it.

Christian: (curious) Oh, that's the case.

Triston: (glances at his watch) Alright then, I'll leave now. I have to get back to my research.

Christian: (persistent) No, buddy, come on. Now that you're here, meet Sophia and the others. Let's enjoy a bit, then you can move back.

Triston: (hesitates) I don't think so...

Christian: (encouragingly) Oh, come on, brother! It'll be fun, I promise!

BACK TO THE CHEMISTRY LAB -

Margaret: (sighs) Too bad you can't leave the chem lab without these things getting done, Hector.

Hector: (unfazed) No problem, ma'am. I wasn't planning to join the fest anyway.

Sabastian walks in, grinning.

Sabastian: (excitedly) You aren't, but we were! Hector, come on!

Hector: (raises an eyebrow) Who's "we"?

Sabastian: (grinning) Triston's at the fest too! Come on, don't be a rotten rat. Let's go have fun!

Hector: (skeptical) Triston's there too? He said he wouldn't be going!

Sabastian: (grinning mischievously) Guess he had a change of plans. He just texted me. Now, let's go!

Hector: (firmly) I have work. You enjoy with Triston!

Sabastian: (teasingly) Mrs. Margaret, you want me to fire you? Stop putting your work onto my friend's shoulders!

Margaret: (nervously, scared) Umm... I think... he's right... I'll finish it, Hector. You should go for the fest!

Hector: (sternly) No, ma'am. That's okay, Sabastian. Don't talk to her like that!

Sabastian: (laughs) You're no fun, Hector. You're sure you're not going? Eleanor will be there too...

(Hector's expression changes slightly at the mention of Eleanor's name.)
