CHAPTER 4

Liam suddenly snapped, breaking the gaze ,

" What are you talking about?" He looked away, fidgeting.His face suddenly grew reddish and then he coughed.

" You caught cold?"

 I tried to feel his temperature but he caught my slender hands and glared at me," What are you trying to do?" 

" Your eyes are red. Don't you need medication?" I stuttered.

He pushed me slightly backward and coughed again," I'm fine" He growled.

But wait a minute... He doesn't recognize me? Am I that easy to be forgotten? No wonder I'm always unlucky!

" Lemme help you clean up the stain.." I whispered, nervous. I walked towards him with the sanitary wipes and white vinegar, but he nabbed them from me and cleaned the stain on the shirt himself. The curves of his abs reflected on his shirt. How come he had sexy,flat, six-packed abs?? ... Wow, had he been hitting the gym?

" What are you staring at?" He glared at me,with a growl.

I twirled my fingers in the hem of my blouse,

" Nothing... but you have really changed!" I grinned, looking away.

He said nothing but kept cleaning up his shirt. Eish, I was so stupid ... Maybe, I should've been quiet.

" Am I that talka...??"

He snapped, not even letting me finish up my question," Can you be quiet for a moment? " 

Goosebumps! Goosebumps!

" I'm sorry.." I whispered. He just succeeded in sending some chills down my spine.

Then silent grew in.

After he was done,he left the infirmary without saying anything to me. I followed him, scampering, because his legs were too long,

" Liam, wait... you have long legs!"But he didn't stopped. He rather walked faster... and majestically.

We got to the class and all eyes were on us.What had they been thinking?

" They look cute together." I heard Aria whispered at Phoebe. Phoebe rolled her eyes, as if we disgusted her sight.

" Where have you been Chloe? " Lily yanked me from my seat,. whispering.

" Did we spend much time there?" I asked her.

She nodded," Uh-huh!"

I shrugged," I don't think so and well, he wasn't that communicative."

" What do you mean, Chloe?"

" I mean he's still rude but I don't care! Maybe he's born that way."

Lily pointed at me,"Hey, I think you should try asking him his zodiac sign to determine if he's pretending not to like you or he's just being rude for no reason!"

" Are you sure about what you are saying?" I asked her.

" It's okay if he doesn't replies... just play cool. He'll later tell you."

" How sure are you?"

" Because I think that he likes you!"She giggled.

I widened my eyes and wiped Lily on her shoulder," You must be dreaming, right? How can you be thinking about that?Eish!"

" If he's a Scorpio of the zodiac sign, just know that he really likes you. Bet me."Lily stared dead- serious at me.

" How do you know?"

" Scorpio men are fond of pretending like they hate you so much,if they really have crush on you!" Lily said.

" I think I have heard enough! Let's change subject,Lily."

" You don't like him, huh?" She arched her eyebrows.

I looked away," Why would I?"

     School dismissed and everyone was heading home. Liam was five steps ahead of me and didn't even bothered to know who was has been dogging him... I wondered if he didn't really recognized me or he was just doing everything to haunt me like he normally does in our childhood time.

" I'm surprised that we're also going the same way!" I said, trying to catch up steps with him.

He said nothing, but kept walking. The next seconds, I was feeling dejected. I confronted him," Why do you hate me that much, even at our childhood age?" 

He stood still, looking away,as if I was too scary.

I continued," Why are you haunting me? Don't you know that you make me feel dejected? What wrong have I done to you?" That moment, I couldn't help but cry out my inner pains.I thought I would feel arms around my head but when I opened my eyes, Liam had already walked past me.

Did he think I was faking the tears? How would he be so nonchalant! I watched him walked into his house without looking back.

I got back home and Mom was around.

" How was today's lesson? " She asked, sitting on the couch.

I walked past her, replying," Fine,mom!"

"You don't look okay!" She called.

" I'm fine!" I screamed, slamming the door.

I collapsed on the bed and reached my school bag for my phone. 

" It's time to play games!" 

But,I couldn't find it.Wait a minute... I sat up and turned my schoolbag upside down but only my books fell out.

" I can't find my phone," I whispered, widening my eyes in surprise," Who must have stolen it in school? But it had been in my bag for long, how come..."

" No, it can't be!" I cried, collapsing on the bed," How do I play games now? This must be a dream!"

The door suddenly creaked wide open. Mom was standing at the doorway," What's the problem,Chloe?"

I sat up, faking a grin," I'm fine, Mom... I'm just hungry. Where's Harry?".

Mother gazed at me for a while and said,

" There's some sausages and omelettes in the refrigerator, which Harry prepared before leaving for the campus."

I widened my eyes," He has left for the campus?"

Mother nodded," He didn't messaged you?"

I smiled," I'll check my phone for new messages later!"

" You are acting weird" Mom said and left.

" Weird?" I gazed at the door and slowly collapsed on the bed again, crying," Who the heck took my phone?"
