A cute nineteen-year-old boy named Wang Yi sat on the cold floor, his body covered in dirt.

Small bruises marked his pale skin. Heavy chains were wrapped around his wrists and ankles, making it impossible for him to move.

A metal mouth stopper was fixed over his mouth, preventing him from speaking a single word.

Two guards stood in front of him, watching carefully to make sure he wouldn't escape—even though he hadn't eaten for three days.

Wang Yi was a genius. Unfortunately, that genius had turned him into a victim. His adopted mother, Su Xiana, had used him for countless experiments since he was young.

Suddenly, the door opened.

Two people walked into the room—his adopted mother and adopted father.

Su Xiana immediately shouted angrily, “Are you really selling my masterpiece? He could earn us far more money if we keep him!”

His adopted father, Su Yang, frowned and replied coldly, “The government has already discovered that we've been conducting illegal experiments. If we want to avoid punishment, the best option is to either marry him off or sell him.”

Then he added calmly, “Luckily, I’ve already found a marriage partner.”

Before Su Xiana could argue again, a guard rushed into the room.

“Master Su Yang, the marriage partner has arrived.”

Su Yang’s expression immediately changed. He stood up straight as the man entered the room without waiting for permission.

No one dared stop him.

After all, this man was known as the most dangerous man in the world. He was also the owner of the world’s largest company. One single word from him could cause chaos across industries. His family name alone was powerful enough to make people rethink every mistake they had ever made.

His name was Hao Jiwan.

Hao Jiwan stepped inside slowly. His sharp

eyes landed on the boy chained to the floor.

He raised his eyebrows slightly.

Wang Yi looked almost dead. Covered in chains, weak from hunger, unable to move.

Su Yang noticed his reaction and quickly explained, “He is extremely intelligent. We gave him drugs so he wouldn't think clearly.

Otherwise… he might have already escaped those chains.”

Hao Jiwan simply nodded.

Then he spoke in a calm but commanding voice.

“Remove the mouth stopper… and the eye patch.”

Su Yang immediately nodded and gestured to one of the guards.

The guard quickly obeyed.

So… they’re selling me.

Wang Yi didn’t feel much about it.

After all, he didn’t really belong to this world.

In his previous life, he had also been forced to be a genius. Scientists had experimented on him endlessly, treating him like nothing more than a tool. His intelligence had never brought him freedom—only pain.

Now he had been reincarnated into another body.

And ironically, this body had suffered the exact same fate.

Another experiment.

Another cage.

Hao Jiwan was originally the male lead’s father in the novel. His lover had committed suicide, and unable to bear the pain, Hao Jiwan eventually died as well.

Su Yang and Su Xiana were insignificant background characters. They only appeared in a single chapter—when they married Wang Yi off to Hao Jiwan.

In the story, Hao Jiwan didn’t love Wang Yi at first.

But slowly, over time, he fell in love with him.

Hao Jiwan never knew how to show his love.

They had a son named Hao Mian.
