Part 1: The World Has Changed

The city no longer slept peacefully.

Sirens echoed through the streets almost every night. News vans filled the roads. Helicopters circled the sky like vultures.

Ever since The Surge, the world had changed.

People with powers were appearing everywhere.

Some became heroes.

Some became monsters.

And some… were something far worse.

Inside a crowded electronics store, a wall of televisions played the same breaking news.

A reporter stood outside a destroyed building.

“Authorities have confirmed that individuals with supernatural abilities now exist across the world. The government has officially declared this the beginning of The Age of Superpowers.”

Footage played on the screen.

A flash of blue lightning tearing through the sky.

A wave of dark shadows swallowing the street.

Grainy phone recordings.

Two names repeated again and again.

Tony.

Loki.

On the roof of a tall building, the cold wind blew across the city.

Tony stood near the edge, looking down at the glowing lights below.

His fingers crackled faintly with electricity.

Behind him, Sadie stepped onto the rooftop.

Her golden aura shimmered softly in the dark.

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

Finally Tony sighed.

“Everything feels different now.”

Sadie looked at the city.

“It is different.”

Tony clenched his fists.

“Loki’s still out there.”

Silence fell between them.

Then Tony looked at her.

His voice was quieter this time.

“If the world is ending… I don’t want to leave anything unsaid.”

Sadie frowned slightly.

“What do you mean?”

Tony took a breath.

“S-Sadie… I love you.”

The wind stopped.

Sadie’s golden aura flickered in shock.

“Tony… what?”

Before she could say another word—

The rooftop lights suddenly went out.

Darkness spread across the ground.

A long shadow stretched across the rooftop floor.

A voice echoed from the darkness.

Calm.

Cold.

Familiar.

“Touching.”

Tony’s eyes widened.

“Loki.”

From the darkness, Loki slowly stepped forward.

His red eyes glowed like burning embers.

Black energy twisted around his body like living smoke.

But something about him felt… different.

Stronger.

More dangerous.

Loki looked at Tony and Sadie like they were insects.

“You two are still playing heroes?”

Tony’s lightning sparked around his hands.

“What do you want?”

Loki smiled.

“Oh, Tony… this isn’t about what I want anymore.”

Behind him, the darkness began to move.

Shadows separated from the night.

Four silhouettes slowly appeared beside Loki.

Each one radiating terrifying power.

Loki spread his arms like a king presenting his army.

“Allow me to introduce something new.”

His smile widened.

“My little project.”

The silhouettes stepped forward.

The rooftop cracked under their energy.

Tony felt a chill run down his spine.

Loki whispered one final word.

“Team Destroyer.”

And suddenly—

The sky exploded with dark power.

The world now knows about superpowers, and things are about to get much bigger, darker, and more dangerous. Tony and Sadie are facing a completely new reality where heroes are rising… but so are monsters.

Loki isn’t alone anymore, and Team Destroyer is only the beginning.

Also… Tony finally said the words he was hiding. But was it the right moment?
