Fireflies in the dark

Morsara is a monster that abandoned by her own species and despite by human,so where does she belong? Just emptiness and living a hundred years to suffer,not knowing if being a monster had a value in this world full of a lie.

Morsara's past hundred years ago. She were strolling on the dark forest known as "monster's boundaries" with her friends.

They found a butterfly with a mysterious colors,blue,pink,and golden on the edge of the wings." Look there's a butterfly,but why does it has a different colors?" Her friends ask.

Morsara got interested by the mysterious butterfly,her foot started to walk little by little without knowing that she almost cross the boundary. Her friends pull her back and she stumbled on the ground."aww,what was that for?"

"You almost cross on the boundary, remember we are not allowed to cross there." Her friends said with a grumpy faces.

Morsara pout,she look away rolling her eyes." But why then?"

"Because we are a monster,human hates monsters and they will kill us no matter what even if we are just a kids." Her friends mumbled ,his voice are above whisper.

"But not all human are like that, aren't they?" Morsara pushed back.

"They are all the same! Though they thought we kill humans but they are no different on us! They don't know that they're facing a mirror..." His friend said,his voice getting lower as he saw Morsara's look.

Morsara blink few times." Is that how you see humans too?" She asked.

Her friend nod. "Yeah..."

"But not all human are not what you've think they were, neither a monster's...not all human will think us as a monster." She smiled obviously.

Days past,Morsara are on the branch of the tree and admiring the kingdom of Eldurian. She got curious on that place. "What does it look like?" She said to her self as she jump down on the ground.

Curiosity had gotten the better of her, and she'd slipped past the boundary, into the human world. The sun was warmer there, the air filled with scents she'd never smelled. She'd wandered, lost in thought, till she stumbled upon a small, messy garden.

A little boy, no older than 5 winters, played with sticks and mud. He looked up, startled, as Morsara froze. For a heartbeat, they stared.

The boy blinked. He didn't scream. Didn't run. Instead, he looked curious .Morsara's monster instincts screamed at her to flee, but something about the boy's calm held her.

The boy stood, brushing dirt off his pants. "Hi," he said, like it was the most normal thing to meet a monster.

Morsara didn't move. Her kind didn't talk to humans. Humans killed her kind.

The boy took a step closer. In his hand, a piece of apple. He held it out. "Want it?"

Morsara's stomach growled, traitorously. She hadn't eaten in days. Her eyes flicked to the apple, then the boy's face. No fear there. No hate.

She took the apple, fingers brushing in the boy's. The touch sent a spark through her. The boy giggled.

"I'll see you again," he said, turning back to his mud-pies.

Morsara fled, heart pounding. What had she done? She'd talked to a human.

In the safety of "monster's boundaries", she replayed it. The boy hadn't been afraid. Didn't see her as a monster.

As Morsara started to walk back to the boundaries the monster's waiting her with a hatred on their look.

Her own kind found out. "You crossed. You talked to a human."

Banishment followed. "You're a danger. A traitor."

Morsara's hands curled now, remembering. That one moment with the boy had cost her everything.

"You're a danger to our kind. You disobey our rule's." The elder monster spoke in a low tone.

Morsara couldn't look up at them,as she feel the intense glare." I-i just got curious...a-and try to look at the Eldurian." Her voice trembling as some one step towards her.

"Morsara we cannot let you stay in our boundaries,not now that a human saw you." A rough voice whisper to her ear. "A monster who disobey my order will be banished in this boundary. You are now forbidden to be one of our kind."

Morsara's eyes widened as she hear that the monster ruler banished her in the boundaries. As she blink she found out that she were outside.
