3.FL and ML

Today, something unexpected happened. I was sitting beside Alice, the female lead, during class. The room was quiet, filled with the faint scratching of pens and the professor’s distant voice. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed her glancing at me… once, then again. It didn’t feel random. It felt intentional. Does she want to say something? I wondered, slightly confused. After a moment of hesitation, I turned toward her and asked quietly, “Did you want to say something?” Alice blinked, clearly caught off guard. “No,” she replied softly, then paused, her brows drawing together. “It’s just… I feel like someone’s been watching me.” Her words made me pause, a strange chill creeping up my spine. Watching her? Or… was it something else? I slowly turned my head to follow that uneasy feelIng—and that’s when I saw Adrian. The first male lead was sitting a few rows away, his gaze fixed directly on Alice. It wasn’t casual or curious; it was intense, almost like a glare. I leaned slightly closer to her and whispered, “Adrian is staring at you.” She looked at me for a brief moment, her expression unreadable, then quietly turned back to her work as if nothing had happened. The moment passed, but the tension didn’t.

After class ended, I gathered my things and headed toward the library, unable to shake the feeling that something was beginning to change. I wanted to enjoy my time here, but I also knew I couldn’t stay careless. Being a dominant Omega wasn’t something I could just ignore. If anything, it made things more complicated. So, I decided to gather some knowledge about it. I should be proactive in situations like this, I thought to myself. Since I already knew how unpredictable this world could be, it was better to understand my condition before it caused problems. With that in mind, I headed deeper into the library, scanning the shelves for anything related to secondary genders, pheromones, or dominant traits. If I was going to live here properly… I needed to be prepared.

After settling into the quiet corner of the library, I began reading, flipping through pages filled with information about dominant Omegas, trying to understand what made them different. After a while, I decided to look for another book, something more detailed. My eyes landed on one placed high on the shelf. I stepped closer and reached up, but it was just out of reach. Frowning slightly, I stood on the tips of my toes, stretching my fingers as far as I could to grab it, my balance wavering just a little as I tried to reach the book.

I felt a presence behind me before I could reach the book. A hand suddenly extended past mine and easily pulled it from the shelf. My breath hitched as I realized how close he was—his chest almost brushing against my back, his presence overwhelming in a way I couldn’t quite explain.

Startled, I quickly turned around, nearly losing my balance as I spun to face him.

For a moment, I forgot to breathe.

He stood there, holding the book in one hand, looking down at me. His features were soft yet striking—delicate in a way that didn’t take away from his presence, but instead made it even more captivating. There was something calm about him… and yet, something dangerously unreadable.

Too close.

Way too close.
