CHAPTER - 4 Strength Problems

Lin Yue woke up feeling refreshed.

For once, nothing terrible had happened.

She stretched lazily.

Then—

CRACK

The wooden bed frame split in half.

Lin Yue froze.

“…What?”

She slowly stood up.

The bed collapsed completely.

“WHY AM I SO STRONG?!”

Discovery of Strength

She stared at her hands.

The hands of Xie Rong were elegant.

Long fingers.

Pale skin.

But apparently… extremely powerful.

Lin Yue looked around suspiciously.

Then she poked the table.

The table leg snapped.

“…Oh no.”

She grabbed a chair carefully.

Very gently.

The chair broke.

“THIS BODY IS DANGEROUS!”

Servant Trauma

A servant entered the room.

“My Lord, breakfast—”

He stopped.

The bed was destroyed.

The table was broken.

Two chairs were dead.

The Demon Lord stood in the middle looking confused.

“My Lord… did someone attack you?”

Lin Yue coughed.

“Yes.”

The servant gasped.

“Who dared?!”

Lin Yue pointed at the chair.

“That one.”

The servant slowly nodded.

“Understood.”

Training Attempts

Later that morning Lin Yue decided something important.

“If I’m going to survive this story…”

She raised a sword dramatically.

“I must become strong.”

The guards looked impressed.

“My Lord is training!”

Lin Yue swung the sword confidently.

The sword flew out of her hand.

Straight through a window.

“…”

The guards stared silently.

Lin Yue cleared her throat.

“…Warm-up.”

But then an unexpected visitor came,

A servant ran in again.

“My Lord!”

Lin Yue sighed.

“What now?”

“Chu Mingyuan has arrived.”

Lin Yue nearly dropped the sword.

“…Why does he keep visiting?!”

At the palace entrance,

Chu Mingyuan stood calmly again.

The disciples behind him whispered.

“Senior brother… we’ve visited the Demon Palace twice already…”

“Yes.”

“Isn’t this strange?”

Chu Mingyuan answered simply:

“I came to return a favor.”

Inside the hall,

Lin Yue sat on the throne pretending to look powerful.

Inside her brain:

“ACT NORMAL.”

“ACT SCARY.”

Chu Mingyuan entered.

Their eyes met.

Lin Yue panicked again.

“…Tea?”

The disciples whispered miserably.

“Of course.”

Chu Mingyuan nodded.

“Yes.”

Lin Yue poured tea.

“So… you came to repay the favor?”

“Yes.”

“How?”

Chu Mingyuan thought for a moment.

“You may ask for anything.”

Lin Yue’s brain started calculating.

The original story said Chu Mingyuan becomes extremely powerful later.

If she asked for something now…

That might help her survive.

She leaned forward.

“Anything?”

“Yes.”

Lin Yue thought carefully.

Then said something unexpected.

“Teach me sword techniques.”

The disciples looked shocked.

“You want instruction from our senior brother?”

Lin Yue shrugged.

“Why not?”

Chu Mingyuan studied her expression.

“You already have great power.”

Lin Yue sighed.

“That’s the problem.”

"Thankfully, this demon lord has an extremely bad and disastrous reputation, but he hates interacting with anyone, so no one would know that he has changed, moreover, his strength is still there."

They moved to the courtyard, to give Lin Yue sword instructions,

Chu Mingyuan demonstrated calmly.

“Like this.”

His sword moved smoothly.

Elegant.

Precise.

Lin Yue nodded seriously.

“I understand.”

She tried copying him.

The sword hit a pillar.

The pillar cracked.

Everyone jumped.

Lin Yue panicked.

“I DIDN’T MEAN THAT!”

Chu Mingyuan stared at the broken pillar.

Then at her.

“You are… holding back?”

Lin Yue shook her head violently.

“No!”

She tried again.

This time the sword slipped.

It flew across the courtyard.

Almost hit a tree.

The disciples hid behind each other.

“Is the Demon Lord always like this…?”

Chu Mingyuan looked thoughtful.

Something about this situation felt absurd.

But strangely…

He wasn’t annoyed.

Instead he said calmly:

“Try again.”

Lin Yue looked surprised.

“You’re not angry?”

“No.”

He stepped closer.

“Your stance is wrong.”

Then he stood behind her.

Very close.

He gently adjusted her arm position.

“Hold the sword like this.”

Lin Yue froze.

“WHY IS HE SO CLOSE?”

Her brain stopped working.

Chu Mingyuan spoke quietly.

“Focus.”

Lin Yue squeaked.

“I AM TRYING.”

The disciples looked horrified.

Why was their senior brother teaching the Demon Lord sword training?

Later that day…

News spread across the cultivation world again.

“Chu Mingyuan visited the Demon Palace.”

“They trained together.”

“Very closely.”

Sect leaders panicked.

“WHAT IS HAPPENING?!”

Meanwhile,

Chu Mingyuan walked back toward his sect.

A disciple asked nervously:

“Senior brother… why are you helping him?”

Chu Mingyuan thought quietly.

Then answered honestly.

“…I’m curious.”

But deep inside, another thought appeared.

Every time he met Xie Rong…

Something felt unexpectedly comfortable.

And that feeling was becoming harder to ignore.

Meanwhile inside the palace…,

Lin Yue collapsed on the bed.

“Okay.”

She stared at the ceiling.

“I might accidentally survive this novel.”

But she didn’t realize something important.

The more she changed the story…

The more Chu Mingyuan’s attention was slowly turning toward her.
