Chapter 4 was it love or hate at first sight

"As Leo bent down to pick up the phone, he noticed the girl's athletic build, though her face was obscured by a mask and cap he could see her beautiful eyes and complex. Looking aside, he caught sight of the anxious girl by the door and a sudden realization dawned – she is the girl from Fox Street, this one in front of him must be the mysterious one Anderson is looking for. Before he could process the thought, the girl snatched her phone from his hand and hurried toward the shop.

Leo called out, "I'm sorry,"

but wasn't sure if she heard him as she never looked back."Leo sighed, gathered his shopping bags, and headed toward the parking lot. As he pulled out his phone and dialed Anderson's number, his brother answered with a sharp tone,

"Leo, where are you? What about the business plan?"

Leo calmly replied, "Anderson, calm down. I saw the mysterious lady here at City Mall." Without another word, Anderson hung up, grabbed his car keys, and rushed out.

Sam called out, "Brother, what's going on?"

but Anderson was already gone.

Andries picked up his phone and followed Anderson to the car,

with Sam reluctantly trailing behind.

“As they arrived at the mall exit , the girls spotted them from a distance as they saw that sported polo and quickly retreated back inside the mall.

Anderson was anxious, asking Leo, "What did she look like?" Leo replied, "I'm not sure, but she was with the girl you disapproved of yesterday. I didn't see her among the other girls yesterday, though. She has a light complexion, beautiful eyes, and short hair." Anderson adjusted the car's rearview mirror to check his reflection, prompting surprise from his brothers.

Sam teased, "Checking your looks for an infuriating girl?"

Anderson shook his head, "No, not at all."fixing the mirror and leaning back with a hand on his forehead embarrassed."

As they watched people exit and hail taxis,after while one pair caught their attention – a lady in oversized sunglasses supporting an elderly woman, presumably her grandmother. As they turned the corner to the next street,

Sam chuckled, "That grandma rocks those Jordans sneakers. I doubt any girl will wear them again after seeing her rocking them like that."

But Leo's expression turned serious, "Drive, it's them!"

However, when they reached the corner, the grandmother and her companion had vanished. A frantic search of the surrounding streets yielded nothing. Deciding to try their luck, they headed to Fox Street, parking their cars a short distance away from the girls' apartment. Unbeknownst to the brothers, the girls were thrilled to see them, feeling nervous yet impressed by the handsome brothers' maturity , demeanor and their visit overall."

"Sam, ever the charmer, learned from Anderson that the mysterious girl wasn't among the ones present. With a grin, Sam said, "Since there are six of you, next time we'll bring two extra brothers so that—"

But Alia cut him off with a laugh, "Actually, we're eight, and two are out." Meanwhile, a commotion erupted at the door as Amanda exclaimed, "Ow, I've never run like that in my life! What an exercise!" sitting down the staircase.

Dakalo trudged into the living room, coughing profusely as she reached for a drink of water from the fridge. She sat down beside it, eyes closed, her face flushed and sweaty. The others

watched her with concern until she finally caught her breath. As she opened her eyes, she noticed the sudden silence and caught a whiff of men's cologne. Her gaze swept the room, wondering why everyone was so quiet."

"As she opened her eyes, they widened in surprise, and she exclaimed, 'You!' Just then,

Amanda rushed in, wearing a playful grandma outfit and holding a cap, grandmother's hat and shopping bags asking 'What's wrong?' to her exhausted friend, Dakalo, who was still catching her breath by the fridge.

The contrast between Dakalo's sweat-drenched face and Amanda's fresh, cute appearance was totally different; you could think she was running with her in her back.

Sam, seated on the couch facing the door, couldn't help but burst out laughing at the sight. 'Such a childish little grandma dared to mess with my friend!' he said, pointing at Amanda.

The girls' faces fell as the sudden revelation sank in."

"Amanda's annoyance was palpable. Though she didn't know Sam, she grasped the reference and shot him a displeased glance before heading toward the staircase to her room.

Sam, realizing what had sparked his brother's anger that day, quickly stood up to stop her but ended up bumping into her instead.

Amanda's response was swift: "Grandchild, if you want a grandma's hug, ask for it “she said that with a smile …

infuriating Sam.

" The other girls struggled to stifle their laughter, intimidated by the three brooding brothers on the couch, whom Amanda hadn't noticed. Sam's face darkened, and he retorted, "Did you really want to touch me that much?" with a smirk.

Amanda's comeback was immediate: "Don't you have a grandpa? I'd rather touch him than you."
