Andries, observing the exchange, smiled slightly, thinking his brother had finally met his match, and pulled out his phone."

"Sam's eyes narrowed as he realized Amanda's penchant for sharp comebacks. 'Listen, little girl, no one dares talk to me like that,' he said. 'You're not even worth hugging my pet at home.

Amanda shot back, 'Oh, aren't you the one who's your friend's pet sent to bite me?'

"Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly flush with cash either – I've overextended myself these past few months. I'd lend her money, and she'd repay without interest. I just want to hear her say thank you and start giving me and my brothers some respect."

Amanda muttered "never" under her breath, but Anderson didn't catch it. Dakalo quickly interjected, "I don't think she'd agree, though I'll mention it to her." Anderson proposed, "I have a job offer for you; maybe you could help your friend with that little cash — your broke friend, however, he was sad when saying that."
