CHAPTER TWO: Driving me Crazy

"Where am i? am i dead? am i in heaven?" i asked the guy who was Infront of me. After a couple of minutes when i got out of the house, i saw this man approaching me. He invited me to sit down under this huge Mango tree.

He stared at me.. "You're breathing, your heart is beating. Do you think you're dead?" i think this guy is just around my age.

My fear disappeared because of the beautiful scenery and this guy Infront of me, he seemed nice.

we're currently under this mango tree. i can see the mountains from here. I can smell the fresh air and i can hear the birds humming.

"Im just making sure mister. So what is this place? where am i?" I asked him as my mind is filled with confusion and curiousity

"Can you speak slowly? I can't understand you if you speak too fast" He said calmly.

"Where am i? how did i get here? The last thing i remember, i was saving a kid from nearly getting hit by a car"

"First of all, you're in Bulacan. Second, i saw you at the market place, nearly getting hit by a horse. Since i was the only man that time, i helped you." He said with a poker face.

What?

Horse?

Market place?

Seriously? Maybe he's just pulling a prank on me.

I stared at him for quite some time before asking a question.

"How old are you?" I asked

"Im 28 years old why? what's your problem?" He was 28 while i was 26, that means im younger than him.

"You doesn't have a wife? or kids?" I asked again

"I don't have a wife nor kids"

Because of that,i smiled. I finally got the answer which was already provided while i was scanning the way he talk and act earlier.

"You're not a pure man, aren't you?" I asked him and i saw the surprised look on his face.

"WHAT?! YOU'RE SO NOISY!! if my father heard you, he'll kill me!" he shouted but not that loud.

I just chuckled. "Can you help me get home? Our village must be near here. Im not familiar with this place since i just had a vacation here to visit my boyfriend" i said calmly.

"Boyfriend?" He asked with a furrowed eyebrows

"Boyfriend,lover"

"Ahh,so you already had a lover"

"Why? are you trying to hook up with me?" I laughed at my own question.

He just shaked his head. He must've thought I was a Lunatic.

"Tsk,just help me get home alright?" I said

"Alright I'll try,but let's eat first" He said then goes back inside the house.

I followed him silently.

When we got inside, my eyebrows furrowed as i looked at their furnitures and things. Their television caught my eye. It's so Old fashioned.

An old man who seemed to be in his 60's suddenly came in from the door.

"Father, she's awake" The guy beside me said as he pointed at me.

"Hija,im glad you're awake" The old man said and soon a smile forms on his lips. "Tacio, prepare some food for her, I'll just finish this chores" he said to the guy beside me as he makes me sit down on a chair.

So his name was tacio

"Thank you for letting me stay here and Helping me" I said then smiled sweetly.

"It's our pleasure to help you. If you want to ask questions on how did you get here or If you need help,just ask my son because he's the one who brought you here" The old man said as he continues to do what he was doing earlier.

I saw unfamiliar things. i guess they are from a poor family. I don't have the rights to judge them.

He must've noticed that i was staring at him.

"Oh, Im sorry if our appliances bothered you. You see,even though we're living in a civilized era, we doesn't have that much money to buy expensive things" He said.

"Ah,No no it's alright, I understand" i said and smiled

I go to the kitchen and saw Tacio preparing the table.

" So your name was tacio?" I said as i sat down on a chair.

"Anastacio was my name" he said as he sat down on a chair Infront of me, "You, what's your name?" He asked me

"Lianne Arabella"

"Since your name is long, I'll just call you Lia" He said then smiled.

"Tacio, Thank you for letting me stay here"

He just smiled at me and told me to start eating before the food gets cold.

After eating, He handed me some spared clothes and underwear. I immediately accepted it.

"That belongs to my mother but she's gone. don't worry it's clean. Take a bath." He said calmly then points at their bathroom.

I got inside their bathroom with my towel and other stuffs. Some of their things are not familiar to me. I hurriedly took a bath and after a couple of minutes, i got out wearing the spare clothes he handed me.

"Now you look fresh and clean" He said and i just chuckled.

"Here use this" He handed me a comb to brush my hair.

after Combing my hair p, suddenly invited me outside to talk about how he's going to help me with finding my house.

"Alright,wait up" I said.

I looked for my rosary and luckily it's inside the skirt that i was wearing.

I was about to go out when something caught my eye.

Am i seeing it right?

"Tacio,why is your calendar dated back in 1989?" I asked him.

"Why? do you want it to be in 2020?" He chuckled and my brows furrowed as i look at him

"Yes" I said stiffly causing him to become serious.

"Did you hit your head hard yesterday or you're just joking?" He asked me and then he explained how i got involved in the accident yesterday and how he brought me here.

"Are you kidding me? Seriously?" I asked him and raised my left eyebrow.

"Then don't believe me if that's what you want" He said then suddenly just walked out.

I followed him. He just sat down on the same place where we sat down earlier.

1989 his face. seriously who is he trying to fool.

"Alright alright im sorry" I said then sat beside him. "But please stop pulling pranks on me"

"Find someone else you can talk with" He said stiffly with a serious face.

"Alright alright im sorry, i apologize but seriously? 1989? is this a dream? am i dreaming? can you please slap me?" I said but he automatically smacked me.

I said slap not smacked.

"Hey! that hurts!" I said like a kid throwing tantrums.

"Im not joking, im not pulling pranks either but who know what? i think you're crazy. *crazily beautiful*" He said

I remained quiet and just diverted my gaze into the mountains and the beautiful scenery. and even looked up in the sky, staring at the clouds.

I smirked. "I might be crazy. I got teleported to an unknown dimension,who would believe that. Im on a different era right now, who would accept that reason? and Most importantly, i am in this era where i was just about to be born." I said

I looked at Tacio who was now looking at the scenery.

"You're really crazy, what you said was crazy Lia" He said

"This is driving me crazy..." I said to myself

"Tss."
