Khemjira's decision to play along with Vikram was a desperate gamble, but it was his only chance to save Net. He pretended to cooperate, feeding Vikram information about Net's operations, all while secretly planning his next move.
Vikram was pleased with Khemjira's apparent compliance, and he began to reveal his plan. "Net's been a thorn in my side for too long," he sneered. "With you on my side, I can finally take him down."
Khemjira listened, his mind racing with strategies and escape routes. He knew he had to be careful, or Vikram would see through his act.
As the days passed, Khemjira gathered information, piecing together Vikram's plan. He learned about the secret meeting with a powerful ally, the hidden warehouse where Vikram stored his arsenal, and the route Net would take to get there.
Khemjira knew he had to warn Net, but how? Vikram had him under constant surveillance, and one wrong move would cost him his life.
One night, when Vikram's guard was down, Khemjira managed to sneak a message to Net's loyal lieutenant, Rohan. The message was simple: "Trust no one. Vikram's plan. Warehouse at midnight."
Rohan received the message and knew exactly what to do. He gathered a team of trusted men and set a trap for Vikram.
As midnight approached, Khemjira was dragged to the warehouse, Vikram's men surrounding him. Net was already there, a look of fury on his face.
"You should've stayed out of this, Khemjira," Vikram sneered, his gun pointed at Net.
But before Vikram could pull the trigger, Rohan and his team burst in, guns blazing. The warehouse erupted into chaos, Vikram's men scattering as Rohan's team took them down.
Net seized the opportunity, grabbing Khemjira and pulling him to safety. As they escaped, Khemjira saw Vikram, his face twisted with rage, being dragged away by Rohan's men.
It was over. Vikram was defeated, and Net was safe.
As they stood outside, catching their breath, Net turned to Khemjira. "You saved me," he said, his voice low and rough.
Khemjira looked up, his eyes locked on Net's. "I'm your brother," he whispered.
Net's expression didn't change, but his eyes...his eyes seemed to soften. "No," he said, his voice barely audible. "I'm not your brother."
Khemjira's heart skipped a beat. "What do you mean?"
Net took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling. "I'm not your brother, Khemjira. I'm your father."
The world around Khemjira shattered. Father? That meant...that meant everything he thought he knew was a lie.
Khemjira stumbled back, his mind reeling. Net reached out, his eyes filled with a mix of pain and love. "I'm sorry, Khemjira. I'm so sorry."
As the truth sank in, Khemjira's world was turned upside down. He didn't know who he was, who Net was, or what was real. All he knew was that he needed answers, and he needed them now.
Khemjira's mind was a maelstrom of emotions as he stared at Net, his supposed father. The word echoed in his mind like a mantra: Father. It didn't make sense. Why would Net hide this from him? Why would his mother keep it a secret?
Net's eyes were filled with a mix of guilt and love, a look that made Khemjira's stomach twist into knots. "I'll explain everything," Net said, his voice low and gentle. "But first, we need to get out of here."
Khemjira nodded numbly, still trying to process the revelation. Net led him to a safe house, a small apartment hidden in the city. As they walked in, Khemjira saw a woman sitting on the couch, a look of sadness on her face.
"Mom?" Khemjira whispered, his voice barely audible.
The woman looked up, her eyes filled with tears. "Khemjira," she whispered, her voice cracking.
Net's expression was somber as he gestured to the woman. "This is Ananya, Khemjira's mother. And I'm not your uncle, Khemjira. I'm your father."
Khemjira's eyes darted between Net and Ananya, his mind reeling. "Why?" he asked, his voice shaking. "Why did you lie to me?"
Ananya spoke up, her voice trembling. "I was young, Khemjira. I didn't know what to do. Net...he was a part of a dangerous world. I didn't want you to get hurt."
Net took over, his voice calm and measured. "I was part of a gang, Khemjira. I did things I'm not proud of. But when I found out about you, I wanted to protect you. I left the gang, but it was too late. They found out about you, and I had to keep you safe."
Khemjira's head was spinning. "So you pretended to be my uncle?"
Net nodded. "I wanted to be close to you, but I didn't want to put you in danger. I thought it was the best way to protect you."
Ananya spoke up, her voice filled with tears. "I'm sorry, Khemjira. We both are. We should've told you the truth a long time ago."
Khemjira felt like he was drowning in a sea of secrets and lies. He didn't know what to believe, what to feel. He looked at Net, his supposed father, and saw a stranger.
"Why should I trust you?" Khemjira asked, his voice cold.
Net's expression was somber. "You don't have to, Khemjira. But I'm your father, and I'll do whatever it takes to make things right."
Khemjira's eyes narrowed. "Whatever it takes?"
Net nodded, his eyes locked on Khemjira's. "Whatever it takes."
The air was thick with tension as Khemjira weighed his options. He had a father, a man who claimed to love him, but had lied to him his entire life. What would he do?
As the silence stretched out, Khemjira made a decision. He would play along, pretend to forgive, and wait for the perfect moment to strike. But little did Net know, Khemjira had a secret of his own, one that would change everything.
