Khemjira smiled, his eyes locked on Maya's, and leaned in closer. "I think I'm ready for whatever secrets Net has," he said, his voice low and confident.
Maya's eyes sparkled with amusement, and she laughed, a soft, husky sound. "I'm not sure you're ready for this, Khemjira," she whispered, her breath tickling his ear.
Net's eyes were on them, his face a mask of stone, but Khemjira could see the tension in his shoulders, the way his jaw was clenched. He was jealous, and Khemjira was loving it.
As they talked, Khemjira made sure to touch Maya's arm, to brush his hand against hers, to lean in close and whisper in her ear. Net's eyes followed every move, his expression growing darker by the minute.
Maya played along, laughing and smiling, her eyes sparkling with mischief. She was enjoying this, enjoying the game of making Net jealous, and Khemjira was happy to oblige.
As the night wore on, Net's anger grew, his eyes flashing with possessiveness. He didn't like this, didn't like Khemjira with Maya, didn't like the way they were making him feel.
Khemjira, sensing Net's unease, leaned in closer to Maya, his voice barely above a whisper. "Want to get out of here?" he asked, his eyes locked on hers.
Maya's smile was radiant, and she nodded, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Let's go," she whispered back.
As they stood up to leave, Net's eyes snapped to them, his face a mask of fury. "Where are you going?" he growled, his voice low and menacing.
Khemjira smiled, his eyes locked on Net's, and shrugged. "Just out," he said, his voice casual. "Don't wait up."
Maya laughed, a soft, husky sound, and took Khemjira's hand, leading him out of the room. Net's eyes followed them, his face twisted with anger, and Khemjira knew he'd hit a nerve.
Khemjira and Maya walked out of the room, their hands still touching, and Net's eyes burned with jealousy. He couldn't take his eyes off them, couldn't bear the thought of Khemjira with someone else.
As they walked out of the house, Khemjira couldn't resist teasing Net further. He pulled Maya close, his arm around her waist, and smiled back at Net. "Don't worry, we'll be back soon," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
Maya laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement, and snipped her head on Khemjira's shoulder. "Yeah, don't wait up, Net," she said, her voice playful.
Net's face was a mask of fury, his eyes blazing with anger. He took a step forward, his fists clenched, but Rohan stepped in front of him, blocking his way.
"Net, calm down," Rohan said, his voice low and soothing. "Let them go."
Net shook Rohan off, his eyes still fixed on Khemjira and Maya. "Get back here," he growled, his voice low and menacing.
Khemjira just laughed, the sound carrying back to Net as he walked away with Maya. "He's so possessive," Maya whispered, her voice barely audible over the sound of the music.
Khemjira grinned, feeling a thrill of excitement. "Yeah, he is," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Let's give him a show."
As they walked away, Net's anger boiled over. He slammed his fist into the wall, the sound echoing through the room. "Get me a car," he growled to Rohan. "Now."
Rohan's eyes widened, and he nodded quickly. "Yes, Net."
Net's eyes were fixed on the door, his mind racing with thoughts of Khemjira and Maya. He was going to make them pay, make them regret ever crossing him.
As the car arrived, Net stormed out of the house, his eyes scanning the streets for any sign of Khemjira and Maya. He spotted them, laughing and walking hand in hand, and his anger boiled over.
