The Devil Who Loved Me
As Luna stepped out of the house, tears filled her eyes.
She placed both her suitcases near the door and hugged her uncle and aunt tightly.
“Luna beta, stop crying now,” Mrs. Wilson said gently.
“Today you’re going to your own home… your brother has worked very hard to build it for you. If your mom and dad were alive today, they would be so happy…”
Luna nodded slightly, but her tears refused to stop.
“Luna!” Alex called out.
She quietly went and sat in the car. Alex placed her luggage in the trunk and got into the driver’s seat. Before starting the car, he held Luna’s hand.
“Your big brother is always with you… now just focus on your future.”
Luna gave a faint smile.
After a 30-minute drive, the car stopped in front of a big house.
“Luna, we’re here,” Alex said.
Luna stepped out of the car and walked inside the house… and as soon as her eyes fell on it—
“Oh my God, Alex! Is… is all this ours?”
“Hmm… how do you like it?” Alex smiled.
“It’s beautiful…” Luna’s eyes sparkled with a new light.
Just then, the door of a room opened…
And he walked out.
Wearing a black t-shirt, messy hair… and those cold, deep eyes.
For a moment, Luna’s breath hitched.
Who is he…?
“Luna, this is my friend Rik,” Alex said.
Rik and Luna stared at each other… as if time had stopped.
“Hello, Luna… nice to meet you.”The moment our hands touched,
a strange pull wrapped around me—
as if I was being drawn into him, against my own will.Just then, Alex spoke, breaking the moment.
“Luna, come… I’ll show you your room.”
Luna nodded and followed him, her eyes wandering around the house, taking in every little detail.
As they walked further inside, she couldn’t help but look around in awe.
“Wow, bro… you’ve built an amazing house,” she said, her voice filled with admiration.
The entire house was painted in pure white, giving it a calm and elegant look. The floors were covered with glossy white tiles that reflected the soft light beautifully.
As they entered through the large gate, it opened into a spacious living area, connected to a modern kitchen. There were two rooms on the ground floor—one of which belonged to Rik.
Upstairs, there were two more rooms—one for Luna, and the other for Alex.
Everything felt… perfect.Luna entered her room and started setting up her things, trying to make the unfamiliar space feel like home.
After some time, she stepped out and made her way to Alex’s room.
Knocking softly, she peeked inside.
“Bro… aren’t you hungry?” she asked with a small pout.
“Because I’m really starving. Let’s order something.“Yeah, I’m hungry too,” Alex replied.
“Go and ask Rik if he wants dinner as well.”
Luna nodded and made her way downstairs. She stopped in front of Rik’s room and knocked softly.
But before she could knock again, the door slowly opened.
Her eyes widened.
Rik was lying on his bed… shirtless.
For a moment, Luna froze, slightly startled at the unexpected sight. Her gaze immediately shifted away, her heart racing for no reason she could understand.
Rik’s deep, cold eyes slowly moved towards her.
“What do you want?” he asked, his voice calm yet distant.
Luna hesitated for a second before speaking,
“Alex and I are ordering dinner… what would you like?”
“No thanks,” Rik replied coldly.
“I don’t need anything.”
There was a brief silence before he added, his tone sharper this time—
“Now leave… and close the door on your way out.”
Luna stood there, slightly taken aback.
“And next time…” Rik’s eyes locked onto hers,
“don’t ever come into my room again.”Luna stepped out of his room, closing the door behind her.
Ugh… what a rude person.
She crossed her arms, clearly annoyed.
I don’t like people like him at all. If he hates it so much, he should’ve just kept his door closed.
She let out a frustrated sigh as she walked away.
And it’s not like I said anything wrong… I just asked about dinner.
Her lips pressed into a thin line.
That’s it. I’m never talking to him again.
Rude… idiot.
Luna walked into the living room and sat down on the couch beside it, picking up her phone to place the order.
Just then, the door of Rik’s room opened.
He stepped out… this time fully dressed.
His eyes fell on Luna.
“Oh, what’s up, Luna?” he said casually.
Luna blinked, confused.
What…?
Wasn’t he just being rude a minute ago? And now he’s acting so normal?
Before she could say anything, she noticed Alex coming downstairs.
Oh… I see, she thought.
So this is the reason. In front of Alex, he acts all nice… and with me, he’s completely rude.
“Yaar, I’m really hungry,” Alex said as he joined them.
“Are you guys ordering something?”
Then he looked at Luna.
“Luna, didn’t you ask Rik about dinner?”
“Yeah, I did,” Luna replied, glancing at Rik.
“But he said he doesn’t want anything.”
Rik spoke immediately, as if nothing had happened.
“Actually… just go ahead and order. I’ll have pizza.”
Luna stared at him, completely confused now.
Seriously? What is wrong with this guy…?
Without saying anything, she finally placed the order.Just then, Alex’s phone rang.
He glanced at the screen and sighed lightly.
“Hello? Yeah… I’ll take this.”
Then he looked at them.
“Guys, you carry on. It’s an important call—I’ll be back in a minute.”
With that, he walked upstairs to his room.
As soon as he left…
Silence filled the room.
Luna’s eyes slowly shifted towards Rik.
And this time… she didn’t look away.
She kept staring at him.Rik… why did you do that?”
Rik didn’t even look up, his attention still on his phone.
“Do what?” he replied casually.
Luna frowned, irritation clearly visible on her face.
“Why were you so rude to me?”
There was a pause.
Slowly… Rik’s fingers stopped moving.
He lifted his gaze from the phone and looked straight at Luna.
His eyes darkened.
For a moment, he just stared at her—silent… intense… almost suffocating.
Luna felt her breath hitch under his gaze.
It wasn’t normal anger.
It was something deeper.
Something dangerous.Rik… why did you do that?”
Rik didn’t even look up, his attention still on his phone.
