Rik stood dangerously close to her, close enough for Luna to feel his breath against her skin. His eyes held something dark—something she couldn’t understand. It wasn’t just anger… it was deeper, almost terrifying.
“Rik… let me go…” Luna whispered, her voice trembling despite her effort to stay calm.
For a few seconds, he didn’t move. He just kept staring at her, as if he was fighting something inside himself.
Then suddenly, his grip loosened.
“Get out,” he said coldly.
Luna froze.
For a moment, she simply stood there, staring at him in shock. What had just happened? The intensity, the way he looked at her—it didn’t feel real. It felt like she had just seen a completely different side of him… someone she didn’t know.
Without saying another word, she bent down, picked up the fallen pizza box with slightly shaking hands, and walked toward the door.
Her heart was pounding loudly in her chest as she stepped out of his room.
The moment the door closed behind her—
Bang!
Rik slammed his fist against the wall, his jaw clenched tightly.
“Damn it…” he muttered under his breath, running a frustrated hand through his hair.
Meanwhile, Luna walked back to her room, her steps slow and unsteady. She sat down on the edge of her bed, still trying to process everything.
Her hands were trembling.
She looked down at them, then whispered softly,
“Who… are you, Rik…?”Luna felt something strange stirring inside her, like a film replaying in fragments she couldn’t fully understand. Wiping her tears, she walked to her bed and lay down, her mind still tangled in thoughts of her own unusual behavior. Eventually, exhaustion took over, and she drifted into sleep.
The next morning, the sharp sound of the alarm broke the silence. Sunlight streamed through the window above her bed, filling the room with a soft glow. Luna slowly opened her eyes, sat up, and turned off the alarm.
Suddenly, memories of last night came rushing back—everything that had happened, every moment she couldn’t forget.
Tying her hair, she stepped out of her room.
Her gaze fell downstairs.
Rik was sitting on the sofa, holding a cup of black coffee in his hand, staring at it as if lost in his own world… completely out of focus, distant, and unreadable.she walked toward Alex’s room.
As she pushed the door open, she spoke softly,
“Hey brother… good morning.”
Alex groaned, pulling the blanket over his face.
“Good morning, Alex. You’re still sleeping? Come on, wake up. I’ll make breakfast.”
He hid deeper under the blanket.
“Alex… get up now.”Yeah, yeah… fine. I’m coming,” Alex muttered lazily.
“Okay, I’m going. Come downstairs quickly,” Luna said before turning away.
She walked down the stairs, her steps calm but her mind still restless.
Rik was no longer on the sofa.
A slight frown formed on her face.
Looks like that creep went back to his room… she thought.
A faint sigh escaped her lips.
Good. At least now I can cook in peace.
She moved toward the kitchen, trying to ignore the strange uneasiness still lingering inside her
