Chapter 4

Aliana decided to investigate because it all seemed too suspicious, and she was determined to save her husband from death.

Night came, and she fell asleep.

But when she opened her eyes again, she saw her husband right beside her. She felt a surge of joy, but at the same time, she was terrified of having to see him dead once more.

Since waking up again, she tried countless times to prevent his death.

But every attempt she made became more and more useless. She had already traveled back to the past more than eight times and had not managed to save him.

While trying to save him, she noticed that every time she returned to the past, things changed. Her husband’s death was different every single time she started over.

She couldn't stand seeing him die over and over. She had tried so many times that she even thought about giving up.

But even when she gave up and did nothing, her husband would die anyway, and she would be sent back to the past again. Frustrated and exhausted, she decided to try one more time.

"Love, I think I feel sick. Can you stay today to take care of me?"

"Of course, honey. I’ll ask my boss for the day off." Her husband called his boss and explained that his wife was ill. The boss agreed and gave him both today and tomorrow off to look after her.

Aliana was determined. She planned to keep him inside the house all day, making sure he didn't step foot outside so no accident could happen.

It was afternoon, and her husband made lunch. After eating, they watched a movie, and eventually, night fell.

They were relaxed, enjoying the films, when suddenly they heard noises—the sound of shattering glass and things breaking.

Her husband went to see what was happening, and Aliana followed close behind. They realized it was a burglar.

The thief was armed and told them that if they moved, he would shoot.

They stayed still, but her husband began to move slowly so the thief wouldn't notice. He carefully approached a drawer and pulled out a gun that was kept there.

The thief noticed him reaching for the weapon and aimed. Both fired at the same time. The thief hit Carlos in the heart, killing him instantly, while Carlos only managed to wound the thief in the shoulder.

Aliana watched her husband being murdered in front of her once again.

The thief, clutching his wounded shoulder, fled through the broken window, leaving his things behind.

She called an ambulance and the police. Everything was in chaos, but when she opened her eyes again... she had returned to the past once more.
