Chapter 4

Sasuke's Pov:

This journey has been utterly useless. I'm beginning to doubt that something like a lord of yin and yang truly exists. I'm beginning to feel like rogue Orichimaru tricked me. What a fool I've been, trusting a rogue lord!

"Lord Sasuke there's something up ahead." One of my men snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked up and saw a mysterious dust cloud heading towards us. Hold on! A dust cloud? That's impossible! It has suddenly turned hot but behind us, there was a chilly air. I heard this town had crazy weather but this just plain ridiculous.

"A cloud shall befall you, blinding you while you see. When you refuse to see and your true purpose revealed, then shall you fall in turmoil for destruction waits you." The words of the old lord. Was he referring to this mysterious cloud? Turmoil? Destruction? When has such things bothered me?

"We're going into the cloud." I ordered and the army complied and immediately marched towards the cloud, which seemed to retract as we got closer.

The royal army marched on towards the mysterious apparition and they slowly disappeared inside the dust cloud. Not less than a minute later, the cloud cleared and they came face to face with something which looked like a pyramid except it seemed like it was upside down. The lord prince and two of his subordinates made their way through a small entrance into the inverted pyramid while the army waited outside for any further commands.

The three figures inside the mysterious pyramid moved cautiously, anticipating any sudden attacks. Suddenly, a voice echoed in the silent halls

"This is the end of your road, turn back now or disastrous consequences await." The voice warned the advancing party.

Sasuke's Pov:

I've had just about enough of this. Disastrous consequences, disastrous consequences, what do they think this place is? This is the raven lands, everything has disastrous consequence. I'll get the power to cross the labyrinth of opposites and I'll be damned if I let this stupid tricks stop me.

"We seek the lord of yin and yang." Lord Kakashi was talking to whatever was hiding in the shadows.

"Why?" Hn! A simply question.

"We need him to grant us passage through the labyrinth of opposites." That idiot! You don't need to go telling him that. I doubt he'll agree to that.

"Why?" So many questions.

"Our Lord Prince is dying, only a journey to the fox lands can save him." Kakashi is babbling too much. What does he think he's doing? He must think that being honest with whatever is talking to us would help matters. What a fool!

"A journey to the other side will require breaking the beginning magic which will bring untold disaster upon the two lands. What makes you think your Lord Prince is worth the risk?" Show yourself and I will prove my worth you bag of wind.

"The Lord Prince is of utmost importance to us, please help us." Begging now Kakashi? Can a raven lord stoop so low?

"Hmm! The raven prince should prove his worth in combat by defeating me. If he does, I'll let you pass to meet the Lord of yin and yang." Hn! You won't be alive much longer to stop us.

"I don't think that would be a good idea." What the hell are you doing Kakashi? We don't have much time.

"Oh?! Is your Prince not up for it?" I could hear the mocking tone in his voice.

"The lord Prince is in no shape to fight. I beg you, grant us passage to the lord yin and yang." The fool! Oh! I see what he's trying to do. He thinks I'll lose control again. Huff! He's trying to protect an ancient being? How pathetic! If the protector of the said powerful lord of yin and yang cannot fight a simple darkness, can the so called neutral lord be any better?

"I'm afraid I cannot allow that. If the prince cannot prove his worth, then your journey I'm afraid is futile." Nice try lord Kakashi but it looks like I'll have to fight after all.

"I'll fight." As the words came out of my mouth, a chilly cloud overcame us and a flickering apparition appeared in the mist of it. As the cloud cleared, a figure dressed in nothing but black lower clothing and bare upper torso, yielding a long saber materialized.

"I'm Lord Zabuza, keeper of the ancient magic of yin and yang. To get to the power source, you have to go through me. Are you worth saving raven prince? Prove it!"

My sword already drawn, I didn't anticipate the attack and I staggered back as clash upon clash of metal blades flashed. He's fast!

I didn't think I'll have to use my strength but it seems like I'll have to unleash my dark energy. Zabuzas' sword cut through my cheek and I felt warm liquid drip down my cheek. Hmm! It's been far too long since I bled; I've forgotten how it feels. I reach for the abused cheek and touch the crimson liquid. I feel my eyes turn bloodshot and my curse mark burning. My vision turns blurry just like before. I feel my consciousness slipping away and the only thing I could think of was 'I was angry'. Why? I do not know. I just feel so much hate at everything.

I feel myself launch at the keeper but he was able to evade my attack. I feel woozy; I can't feel my body anymore. I materialize behind Zabuza and strike an arm through his back and my arm gets a hold of something pumping. Must be his heart. I'm gripping his heart. I want to squash it. Why do I want to do that? He must be screaming. Why can't I hear him? I feel so much anger. I want to kill him. He made me angry. But what did he do? I can't remember. All I know is that I must kill him. I can feel my hand tightening round his heart. His body slumps and I can feel him dying. I'm killing him. He must die. Why? I don't know. I can't remember but I'm angry. I look at my companions. The look of horror on their faces. Horror and something else...fear? They're afraid of me? I should kill them too. I don't know why but I feel like I should. They've made me angry too. How? I can't recall. First I must end this keeper. I can feel his life source slipping away.

"Stop!" Who said that? I let go of the dying body and it slumps finally to the ground.

"Don't kill him and I'll go with you." It sounds like the voice of a child.

"Show yourself." A young child materializes before us. He's powerful, I can sense it.

"My name is Haku. I am the lord of yin and yang. If you let go of Zabuza, I'll go with you."
