Don’t Look At Anyone Else

The faded bracelet remained in Jungkook’s hand long after Taehyung left the convenience store.

Even while cleaning shelves and greeting customers, his thoughts stayed trapped in those few painful minutes.

“Throw it away.”

The words kept replaying inside his head.

But how could he?

That bracelet was the only thing Jungkook had left after Taehyung disappeared.

Every time he thought about removing it, it felt like admitting Taehyung would never come back.

Yet now that he had finally returned, the distance between them felt even worse than before.

Jungkook let out a tired sigh as he stepped outside during his short break. The evening air felt cold against his skin, and the quiet street glowed softly beneath the streetlights.

He leaned against the wall and closed his eyes for a moment.

Then suddenly—

“Jungkook?”

He opened his eyes immediately.

A woman stood a few feet away holding an umbrella, surprise filling her face.

“Yuna?” Jungkook blinked.

Han Yuna smiled brightly before walking closer. She had been one of his classmates in high school and one of the few people who knew about his friendship with Taehyung.

“It’s really been forever,” she laughed softly. “You still look exactly the same.”

Jungkook smiled awkwardly. “You don’t.”

“That sounds rude.”

He laughed quietly for the first time that day.

Yuna studied his face carefully before speaking again.

“You look tired. Are you okay?”

Jungkook hesitated.

He wanted to say yes.

But instead, the words escaped before he could stop them.

“Taehyung came back.”

Yuna’s expression froze instantly.

“…What?”

“He’s here.”

For several seconds, she looked completely speechless.

Then slowly, concern appeared in her eyes.

“How did he look?”

Jungkook lowered his gaze slightly.

“Different.”

That single word somehow carried years of emotions inside it.

Before Yuna could respond, headlights suddenly illuminated the street.

A black car stopped directly across from them.

Jungkook’s heartbeat immediately quickened.

The tinted window rolled down slowly.

Taehyung sat inside.

His sharp gaze landed on Jungkook first—

Then shifted toward Yuna.

The atmosphere changed instantly.

Yuna looked nervous without understanding why.

Jungkook swallowed hard.

Taehyung stepped out of the car calmly, his dark coat moving slightly in the cold wind.

He walked toward them slowly.

Every movement carried quiet confidence.

Yuna awkwardly bowed her head politely. “H-hello.”

Taehyung barely acknowledged her before stopping in front of Jungkook.

“What are you doing here?” Jungkook asked nervously.

Taehyung ignored the question.

Instead, his eyes moved toward Yuna again.

“Who is she?”

The calm tone sounded harmless.

But Jungkook knew better.

“This is Yuna. We went to school together.”

Taehyung stayed silent for a moment.

Then his gaze returned to Jungkook.

“You seem close.”

Jungkook frowned slightly. “We’re just talking.”

“Really?”

Something about Taehyung’s expression made Jungkook uneasy.

Yuna quietly looked between them, clearly sensing the strange tension.

“I should probably go,” she said carefully.

Before Jungkook could answer, Taehyung suddenly spoke.

“Yes,” he said coldly. “You should.”

The rude response shocked both of them.

Yuna quickly excused herself before hurrying away awkwardly beneath her umbrella.

The moment she disappeared, Jungkook turned toward Taehyung in disbelief.

“What was that?”

Taehyung looked completely unbothered.

“She was annoying.”

“You don’t even know her.”

“I don’t need to.”

Jungkook stared at him, frustration slowly building inside his chest.

“You can’t just act however you want.”

Taehyung suddenly stepped closer.

Close enough to make Jungkook nervous again.

His dark eyes locked onto Jungkook’s face intensely.

“Then stop giving me reasons to.”

Jungkook’s breathing became uneven.

“What does that even mean?”

For a few seconds, Taehyung simply stared at him silently.

Then his voice lowered almost into a whisper.

“Don’t smile at other people like that.”

Jungkook froze completely.

Because beneath the coldness and resentment—

That sounded dangerously close to jealousy.
