When Galen read down to the last line, he nearly choked on his saliva.

"Damn system…"

"Is it making fun of me?"

"Aren't you supposed to be an emotionless construct? Why do you suddenly sound sentient?"

"Oh… I thought the name and colour of the system screen changed because of how awesome I am"

[ Wow! What a narcissist... ]

"Look who it is coming from."

"Anyways, since you seem to have your own personality, I can't just keep calling you 'system'. So let's pick a name for you, shall we?"

[ That's a great idea. Go on, I'm listening... ]

"How about 'Beth'?"

[ As in Elizabeth? ]

"Yes."

[ It's good. But... ]

"But?"

[ You are a pervert master. ]

"Why?" That really came out of the blue.

[ Cause' you just gave a girl's name to a genderless system...🙊 ]

Galen rolled his eyes seeing that system message.

"Whatever..."

But remembering what started this whole conversation (his 10 million year old virginity), Galen fell silent.

As a battle–hungry warrior who remained singe his whole, he had only one regret in the final moments of his life.

Even with all his powers,

He died alone.

Surrounded by traitors,

and forgotten by mortals,

there wasn't a single soul who would mourn his death.

His title, The Forgotten Godking, had never felt more appropriate.

So Galen planned to surround himself with lovely women, especially hot and sexy ones – in this life.

The first one on that list was of course, his purple haired goddess, Rhea Everlight.

But for now, with only two days remaining till the mana explosion reaches earth, Galen had to focus on his preparations.

Since he couldn't craft a proper weapon with the weak materials available on Earth – that'll soon become obsolete once mana descends, he turned to the system.

"Hey Beth, are there any other benefits to getting an upgraded system aside from a naughty AI that mocks its own master?"

Skill Station - You can create any skill by sacrificing your levels. The more powerful the skill, the more levels you need to sacrifice.

{ Stats obtained by those levels will not reset, you will still retain them. }

Crafting Station - you can use it to create / upgrade or modify any – weapon / artifact / or other inorganic constructs as long as you provide the necessary materials.

{ Note:

Both skill station and artifact station need Origin Mana to function.

In case of Crafting station, if the materials aren't available, they can be replaced with enough origin mana. }

Alchemy Station - You can create Potions with all kind of effects

( From a Simple Mana portion - that restores mana, to an Incomparable Elixir - that can even bring someone back from the jaws of death ), using System Points and Origin Mana.

{ System Points (SP) can be earned by completing special quests, issued by the system. } ]

"Wow... Beth!"

"You weren't lying when you said how awesome you are..." Galen whistled in admiration.

[ Ehehehe... Praise me more... ]

"Alright, alright. Now, show me the price for creating a shape-shifting soul weapon", said Galen, reminiscing about his previous soul weapon. (It was destroyed in the final battle, when he detonated his soul.)

[ Opening Crafting Station... ]

[ Calculating the price for creating a soul weapon... ]

[ Estimated price : 500 units of Origin Mana

(or)

Soul Forging Stone + 200 units of Origin Mana ]

After seeing the system's prompt, Galen's jaws nearly fell to the floor.

According to his estimate, he will need to reach at least reach level 40 to have the required 500 units of Origin Mana.

Not to mention the soul forging stone, that was so rare that, to craft his previous soul weapon he roamed he universe for almost 2000 years before finally finding one.

"You are kidding me right?", Galen asked with a nervous chukle.

[ No Master. ]

"My dear Beth, can't you reduce the requirements for you poor master?"

[ No can do Master. It is what it is. ]

"Haaaaa....."

Galen felt like he was sighing a lot these days.

Two days later...

Galen was blitzing through the streets with an anxious expression, his ironclad heart filled with worry.

Everywhere he looked, people were running for their lives, trying to escape from the abominable monsters that had suddenly descended upon earth.

It was like a scene straight out of a horror movie.

But any monster that dared to block bis path had only one ending – Death.

Even while running at his top speed, Galen was still weilding his sword with an uncanny precision, it's sleek blade slicing clean through those monsters.

If it had been any other time, he would have stayed there, lending his aid by eradicating every last one of them.

Not now though. He had other more pressing matters to take care of — like making sure a certain purple haired MILF remained safe first.

To know what caused this current situation, we have to go back in time for a bit.

An hour earlier,

After packing some food and water that'll last him a couple of days, Galen planned to go to a nearby forest. The advent of mana, was usually associated with the emergence of dungeons all across the world.

Raiding one of them, that will surely appear in the forest because of the gathering of wild mana, was his primary goal.

It was the only way to get stronger, faster.

But fate had other plans for him it seems.

When the mana explosion finally reached earth, he saw something he had never seen in his past life.

All over the world, space itself was torn apart by ominous looking portals, releasing unholy monsters.

There were tens of thousands of these portals appearing all of a sudden.

"Hey, Beth? Do you have any idea what's going on here? Cause' I'm totally lost here.

[ Wait a moment master. I'll check with the Universal System ]

[ Integrating the Forgotten God's System with the Universal System... ]

[ Integration complete. ]

[ A worldwide quest was issued by the universal system just now... ]

[ Procuring the quest details... ]

[ Ding ! ]

[ Emergency quest : Survive the apocalypse

Quest description : Due to the sudden influx of mana , Earth has started to evolve, disrupting it's spatial stability in the process. Using that opportunity, monsters are descending from the dimensional gates with a single goal in mind – Slaughter.

Quest objective : Survive for one hour.

Quest reward : + 5 Levels to every survivor.

Note : After an hour, Earth's evolution will be complete and the rampaging monsters will be pushed back into the gates by the universal system. The gates will then be temporarily sealed – until someone clears them or a gate break occurs. ]

"What are these dimensional gates anyway?"

[ Establishing link with the universal records... ]

[ Searching for required data — search complete. ]

[ ... ]

[ Basically, you are the reason for this shit, dear master... ]

"How ?" Graham asked incredulous.

[ When you broke the Aetherion Seal in the past, the capsule that protects the universe developed more cracks, giving the invaders somewhat restricted access into our universe. ]

[ They created the dimensional gates using that chance, sending countless monsters into our universe to sow chaos. ]

[ Normally if a gate is opened inside our universe, the monsters inside are held back by the universal system. Even then, their growing numbers will eventually cause something called a Gate break. ]

[ But because of the weakening effect a world's evolution has on the spatial fabric, the containment fails, resulting in monsters suddenly pouring out from the gates. ]

[ You can even call it the Apocalypse of newly evolved worlds ]

"So, I screwed up big time huh..."

[ No master..! You did the right thing. ]

[ If you hadn't broken the universal treasure, those idiotic gods would have opened the universal capsule, giving those invaders full entry into our universe. But currently, they can only send their minions inside. ]

"I see. Thanks, Beth. For a moment there, I thought I had doomed my own universe."

[ You are welcome, master ! ]
