Cold CEO's Little Angel and Her Mama

Cold CEO's Little Angel and Her Mama

A Cry That Changed Everything

The evening sky was slowly turning orange…

Office hours finally ended.

Anupama…

A regular software employee… walking out of her office building with a tired sigh.

Another long day.

Another set of deadlines.

Another normal evening in her simple life.

She wasn’t someone extraordinary.

No rich background.

No glamorous life.

Just a middle-class girl…

Independent, kind-hearted… and someone who could never ignore pain.

As she stepped out, adjusting her bag on her shoulder—

Her phone rang.

Chaitra.

“Hey madam, finally free?” Chaitra’s teasing voice came.

Anu smiled lightly.

“Just now finished. What happened?”

“I’m at the hospital… long shift. Come here, I’m bored,” Chaitra said.

Anu shook her head with a small smile.

“You and your drama… okay, I’m coming.”

She ended the call and started towards the hospital.

On the other side of the city…

Inside a high-rise glass building…

A meeting room was filled with heavy silence.

At the head of the table sat a man—

Sharp features. Cold eyes. Unreadable expression.

Every person in the room was alert.

Because one wrong word…

Could cost them everything.

Arjun Malhotra.

Young. Handsome. Successful.

And completely emotionless to the world.

Except one person. His daughter.

" Sir, these are the final reports—”

Before the man could finish—

Rajat’s phone vibrated.

Rajat, Arjun’s assistant and closest aide, frowned seeing the caller.

Isha.

He quickly stepped aside and answered.

“What happened?”

From the other side, Isha’s worried voice—

Rajat’s expression changed instantly.

He turned towards Arjun.

One look.

That was enough.

Arjun understood something was wrong.

“What is it?” his voice was low. Dangerous.

Rajat walked closer.

“Sir… it’s Iha. She’s at the hospital. She’s not agreeing for the vaccination… she’s crying continuously.”

For a moment—

Everything went silent.

Arjun’s jaw tightened.

His eyes darkened.

Without another word—

He stood up.

“Meeting over.”

That’s it.

No explanation. No delay.

Within seconds, he was already walking out…

Rajat following him.

Because when it came to his daughter—

Nothing else mattered.

Meanwhile…

At Little Starts Children's hospital

A loud cry echoed through the corridor.

A tiny 2-year-old girl—

Iha.

Her face red… eyes swollen… tears rolling nonstop.

Doctors tried.

Nurses tried.

Even the bodyguards tried.

But nothing worked.

“Please baby… just one injection…” the nurse pleaded.

But Iha cried harder… shaking her head.

Isha stood helplessly beside her.

At that moment—

Anu entered the hospital corridor.

Clean. Bright. Calm.

Just as she was about to call Chaitra again—

Her phone rang.

Mom.

Anu sighed softly and answered.

“Yeah mom, I’m going… you don’t have to say it again,” she said, already knowing what was coming.

From the other side, her mother’s voice—Anantha—firm and slightly worried.

“I don’t trust you. You always say you have work and then cancel plans. That’s why I’m reminding you again.”

Before Anu could reply—

Another voice joined.

Her father, Srivastav.

“If she wants to go, she will go. If not, she won’t. Why are you forcing her so much? My baby will decide,” he said calmly.

“See? This is why she never listens to me,” Anantha snapped.

“You keep supporting her like this!”

Their small argument continued…

But Anu didn’t react.

She wasn’t even listening anymore.

Because at that moment—

A baby.

Crying uncontrollably.

Anu slowly turned her head.

Her brows frowned.

Her heart tightened.

That cry…

It didn’t sound normal.

It sounded painful.

She looked ahead.

A small 2-year-old girl—

Crying non-stop.

Minutes were passing…

But the crying didn’t stop.

Anu’s grip on her phone tightened.

She couldn’t ignore it anymore.

“Mom… I’ll call you after I reach Jaya aunty’s house, okay? Bye,” she said quickly and cut the call.

Without wasting another second—

She walked towards the baby.

She saw her.

Anu’s heart clenched.

Her eyes shifted to Isha.

Assuming she was the mother—

Emotion took over.

“How can you just stand and watch? She’s just a baby…” Anu said, unable to hold back.

Isha was stunned.

Before she could respond—

Anu was already beside Iha.

She slowly bent down…

Her voice softening completely.

“Hey… baby… what happened…” she whispered gently.

Like magic—

The crying reduced.

Iha looked up.

Her teary eyes met Anu’s.

Slowly…

Her tiny hands stretched towards her.

And then—

In a soft, broken voice—

“Mama…”

Anu froze.

“Mama…?”

“Baby… I’m not your mama…” she said softly.

The moment she said that—

Iha’s face crumpled again.

And she started crying even louder.

Anu’s heart tightened painfully.

“Okay okay… I’m here… I’m your mama…” she said quickly.

Instant silence.

Iha stopped crying.

Looked at her…

And then—

A small, beautiful smile appeared.

“Mama…” 😊

That smile…

It melted something deep inside Anu.

Without realizing—

She smiled back.

From a distance—

Isha watched everything in shock.

A few minutes later—

Iha calmly took the vaccination.

No more tears.

No more struggle.

Isha walked towards Anu.

“Thank you so much… without your help, this wouldn’t have happened,” she said sincerely.

Anu smiled.

“It’s okay…”

Then suddenly—

She remembered something.

“Actually… I need to scold you—” she started awkwardly.

Isha gently stopped her.

“I know what you’re going to say… but really, thank you.”

Then she looked at Iha.

“Today… she said a new word.”

Anu frowned slightly.

“She only says ‘Dada’ usually…”

“But today… she said ‘Mama’… because of you.”

Anu’s eyes widened.

“If my brother hears this… he’ll be very happy.”

Anu blinked.

“Your brother…?”

Isha smiled softly.

“Yes. He’s her father.”

“And I’m just her aunt… not her mother.”

Anu felt embarrassed instantly.

“I’m so sorry…” she said.

Before anything else—

Iha stretched her hands again.

“Mama…”

Anu looked down…

At those tiny hands reaching for her.

This time—

She didn’t think.

She picked her up.

Time passed without her realizing.

They played… laughed…

Like they had known each other forever.

“Anu! Done. Shall we go?” Chaitra called from behind.

Reality hit.

Anu looked at Iha.

Her smile softened.

“Baby… I have to go now… okay?” she said gently.

Iha’s smile slowly faded. She tighten her grip around Anu. Anu understand Iha feeling but she don't have any choice she have to leave. So she tells Iha " If you miss me you can ask that aunt " she points at chaitra " then I will come to you okay "

Isha comes to anu to take Iha and tells her " Iha baby mama says she has work right so, be like a good girl say bye to mama " Iha relectantly leaves anu.

“Bye… Mama…” she said softly.

Anu’s heart ached.

She leaned forward… kissed her forehead.

“Bye baby…”

She walked away.

Iha didn’t move.

She just stood there…

Watching…

Her eyes slowly filling with tears…

Until the lift doors closed.

At that exact moment—

Another lift opened.

Arjun stepped out.

Fast. Intense.

The moment he saw his daughter watery eyes

His entire expression changed.

“Baby…” his voice softened instantly.

Iha ran into his arms.

“Dada…” she cried…

Holding him tightly.

And then—

Between her sobs—

“Mama… Mama…” 😭

Arjun froze.

“Mama…?”

His eyes turned cold again.

Sharp.

Searching.

He looked in the direction she pointed.

Empty.

He turned to Isha.

No words.

Just a question.

And as she explained everything—

Arjun stood there…

Silent.

Still.

Because deep inside—

Something had already changed.
