"Elite Strategist: Beyond The Call Of Duty. Hawks And His Right-Hand Man"
It's a sunny day, the cold bites sharply, and a young woman's heart beats with a mixture of peace and tranquility.
Kanri is a very beautiful woman, with Western beauty and ethereal features, yet an elegance and a modern air that set her apart! Her gaze is thoughtful and mysterious, her eyes tired, attractive, and somewhat sensual, but with a reserved and impeccable demeanor.
She stops at a café; she loves coffee and savory dishes, but usually chooses pastries, always taking advantage of what she rarely gets to try.
The air stirs her blonde hair, and her eyes, like the ocean, turn the color of a crystalline lagoon; they are as impressive as the sea itself, because they adapt to the changing light. Beautiful and proud, dignified as a rose, fragile, yet intense, and mysteriously powerful.
The men stare at her; some try to hide it, some don't even bother. Argentina isn't exactly known for its great respect for women, and although laws protecting women exist, it's a classic example of men not showing respect with their gaze.
A random guy approaches her, a little hesitant. She looks unfriendly.
X: Excuse me, good morning! May I sit down?
Kanri: Oh, no! - she says indifferently -
X: Can I at least have your number?
Kanri: No! - she puts the money on the table - Waiter! - she exclaims, giving a slight nod - I'm leaving now. Have a good day, see you later!
She leaves quickly. Her heart is completely focused on other things; there's no room for love. Her priority is her emotional well-being and her future. She's focused, but deep down, she always hopes for the day someone will come along who will care for her and know how to respect her, but for that... there are still many things to accept.
Kanri Rui: "What a beautiful day!" she thinks, as she gazes at the sky with a melancholic and weary expression, at the buildings of the capital! Everything is peaceful, at least that's how she sees the world through her headphones, where only the music dominates her emotions, but doesn't determine its end.
The streets are full of people, passing and bumping into each other, the usual; if you don't walk quickly, you might get knocked down.
Footsteps echo silently, and immersed in her world of fantasy, she glances around.
The heat draws her in, the impact hits her right in the heart, and fear threatens to overcome her courage.
The building is surrounded by flames, threatening to leave the authorities with no way out.
Kanri's gaze narrows, and she immediately takes off her headphones. Screams can be heard from inside, but... her heart triumphs over the uncertainty.
Her heart doesn't ask her body's permission; the engine of her emotions is so intense that she doesn't hesitate, and she runs toward the disaster.
"No!!! What happened?" she looks around desperately, taking off her crimson coat and leaving it on the floor. Her analytical mind tells her what to do; the weight won't help her.
X civilians: "HELP! PLEASE, WE CAN'T GET OUT!" they cry desperately. "SOMEONE HELP!!!"
The police don't arrive; this has only just begun. People approach, trying to do something, but it's impossible. Flames surround all the entrances, the entire building; there's no way out.
As if by fate, she steps through the flames with a firm and determined stride.
There's so much smoke; she can barely understand where they are!
"Don't worry, I'm going to help!"
The water shot towards its targets, its gaze focused on finding its energy, because without it, it wouldn't last long. At the same time, it pulled out as many people as possible; they weren't ordinary people, they were politicians.
My lungs struggled with the contaminated air; the space was very confined, and for a civilian like me... it was difficult to act.
I dedicated myself to getting as many people out as possible, while time ran out.
Once I managed to rescue the others and get them to safety, I stayed inside. I heard a cough, a sound of pain, someone... grinding their fingers against the floor.
"HELP, I'M NEAR THE WINDOW!" came a voice, someone on the verge of collapse.
The walls shook, light burst through the thunder of debris from the impact; it was an attack. I slid down with all my might, I didn't know why, or maybe I did, but neither my inner world nor I decided for me. I only knew that I wouldn't let it die.
I transformed into water, water that transformed everything it touched, using my last reserves.
The perfect element of life...
The impact was fierce, but I didn't hesitate. My arms wrapped around that person, and we shot toward the exit. Hawks tumbled down the stairs, but I... I lost all my energy. My body weakened, and I reverted to my natural state.
The last thing I saw... was the silent scream of someone I could no longer hear. My senses shut down, and everything went dark.
The sound of my heartbeat was mechanical, the smell of the place was unpleasant, at least to me. The scent of antiseptics, alcohol, and disinfectants was unbearable.
I slowly opened my eyes, my heart steady, but what disoriented me was the elegant figure of someone who, when I looked up, deeply affected my emotions.
It was him, Hawks, who used to be a hero years ago, the hero who lost his wings for the nation, my idol, many would say... and I would too, though only as an excuse.
I blink, unable to believe what I'm seeing. My pulse races noticeably, and my cheeks flush a petal pink amidst my freckles, those little things that make me look so cute. The shock is intense, yet the pain of the impact takes its toll on my body, which was never prepared to receive such brute force.
"Aaahhh!" I let out an agonized groan. The pain is suffocating; I feel as if every muscle fiber has been torn apart. "What is this? Why so much pain?" I ask myself.
Hawks wakes up. Despite having lost his wings, his senses, though reduced to those of a normal human, remain incredibly sharp.
His eyes open, and he jumps at the sound of my suffering. In desperate, fluent Japanese, he utters those words...
Hawks: "Anata wa inochi no onjin da. Naze asoko made...?" (You're the one who saved my life. Why did you go so far...?)
She stares at him, completely confused, unable to believe what's happening. But when Hawks' firm, warm hands take her wrists to steady her, Kanri simply freezes, her eyes glued to the screen.
The look of shock is real; the emotional impact is immense. First, she gives her life without knowing if she'll die, and then she wakes up in front of her favorite hero. It was understandable that Kanri couldn't grasp reality.
Her small, slightly slender, tender fingers rest hesitantly on her cheeks. "It's real, not a dream," she thought.
