Ep-4 The Hug

......Shanaya's Point Of View......

Ayaan left fir school and that Kairav is also went to his office. So now there is no one in the house except me and the servants. I can't go to work. I sighed. Suddenly my phone ringed.

Yes I love those soft old songs and I don't know why this song has a different place in my heart. I searched for my phone on the bed. I checked the caller name. Sanchay Mishra. I picked up the call.

"Hello"

"We need you here, when are you coming?"

"For what?"

"Meetings ma'am. Have you forgotten that you have meetings to attend?"

"I won't be coming to the company for some time. Just tell me the schedule of my meetings. I will attend them on a video call."

"Why?"

"Since when have you started asking so many questions, Sanchay?"

He paused for a minute after hearing my words. "Sorry. I will do as you say" he said after a minute. "I will inform the clients too that you will attend the meeting on call." he added. "Okay" I replied and hanged up. Sanchay is my secretary and the man I trust the most in my company. He is very capable. He helped me a lot during the initial years of my company. My phone screen brightened. A notification popped.

From Sanchay: Your schedule 📷. I opened the message, he sent a photo. It was my today's schedule. I had 2 meetings today. At 12 pm with Mr. Arora and at 5pm with Mr. Chopra. I checked the time, it was 10 in the morning. I started checking all the necessary details for my meeting with Mr. Arora.

I can't focus on my work. Maybe I should give her a call. I grabbed my phone and searched for 'Wifey'. Yes, I have saved her name as Wifey in my phone. I was about to call her but then...

"Sir, Mr. Agnihotri is requesting for your presence" a voice came from behind. I turned back. "Tell him to wait. I am coming." I replied. "Its urgent sir" he argued. "Shivaay, I said tell him to wait" I answered firmly.

"But-"

"My words are an order, and orders are not meant to be disobeyed." I spoke before he could complete his sentence. His lips parted, "I will inform him" he said and left. I sighed. I called her.

Why isn't she picking up my call? I tried once again but no one answered. Now I am worried. I hurried out of my cabin and rushed to the parking. I hopped in the car and grabbed the staring wheel and drove the car in a hurry. Likewise, I was driving as fast as I could. In about 15 minutes I reached Ranawat mansion. I quickly got out of the car and entered inside the house. I rushed upstairs towards Shanaya's room. I was afraid that I might not find her in the room. I was afraid she would be gone. I was afraid that I might lose her again. I already lost her once, I can't afford to lose her again. I was afraid of what I might encounter. I opened the door of her room.

There she was! Sitting on bed with her laptop in a shirt and shorts? What type of fashion sense is that? She was talking with someone. I rushed towards her, closed her laptop and hugged her tightly.

What is going on? I was attending the meeting with Mr. Arora when this man rushed inside my room, closed my laptop and hugged me tightly. What the hell is wrong with this man!? Is he stupid!? He was so quick that I had no time to react. Wait... my meeting!! Oh God! This man closed my laptop! And thanks to him now my meeting ended without even getting the contract! But... what's wrong with him? Why is he hugging me so tightly? And why is he breathing so heavily?

"Ka...Kairav?" I whispered. He broke the hug and wrapped his arms around my waist, caging me between his arms with tears in his eyes. Oh God! I have never seen him like this! I was too shocked and heartbroken seeing him like this. I cupped his cheeks, "What happened?" I asked softly. He did not answer my question instead he hugged me again. I could clearly hear his heartbeat. His heart was beating crazily. Now I was really worried. I comforted him by rubbing his back. We stayed like this for a while. When calmed down, he broke the hug.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah"

"If there is something you can tell me"

"I only needed my wife's hug and I guess I got that" he winked.

What the fuck!? Just a few minutes ago this man was so depressed and now he is annoying me!? I am so done with this guy. I rubbed my temple. Then my eyes went to the laptop lying beside me on the bed. My meeting!!! My contract!!! Now it's all gone because of this bastard!

"Then why the hell you rushed inside my room and closed my laptop!?"

"Because you were not answering my calls"

"My phone was silent and I was attending a meeting!"

"I didn't know that, I thought you ran away again"

"You should have waited for a while, now my contract is gone because of you" I said while looking at the closed laptop.

"It's just a contract why are you acting like this? Just tell me the name of the person and I will arrange another meeting for you"

"Just tell me the name"

"Ashvik Kumar Arora."

"Okay, tomorrow at same time?"

"Why not?, thanks" I said with a smile.
