Prague. One week after Siberia.
The news broke simultaneously in 12 countries.
“X-Men Implicated in Illegal Mutant Scandal.”
“Evidence: Charles Xavier Covered Up Project Phoenix.”
“Whistleblower: Hermione Granger.”
The world turned into a roar of noise.
Naruto sat on a rooftop, watching news helicopters hover in the distance.
“Your plan worked,” Kurama said. “Now everyone knows.”
“And everyone wants my head,” Naruto replied.
His phone vibrated.
A message from an unknown number:
“Surrender. Or Hermione dies.”
There was no signature. There didn’t need to be.
London. Provisional Ministry of Magic.
Hermione was surrounded. 20 Aurors, 5 Interpol agents, 2 X-Men agents.
They weren’t arresting her. They were using her as bait.
“He will come,” the X-Men agent said. “The Kitsune doesn’t leave his people behind.”
Hermione sat calmly, hands resting on the table.
“If he comes, you all die.”
“If he doesn’t, you die,” the Auror countered.
The door shattered.
Naruto entered. No shouting. No massive jutsu.
Just a shadow and a blade held against the throat of the operations leader.
“Stop,” he said. “She isn’t your enemy. I am.”
Every weapon in the room was aimed at him.
Hermione stood up. “Don’t.”
Naruto looked at her and gave a thin smile.
“If I die, the third file goes public. This time, it’s about everyone in this room.”
Silence.
This wasn't a threat. This was accountability.
The operations leader lowered his weapon.
“Fine. Let’s talk.”
Two hours later. Closed-door negotiations.
A round table. Seven people.
Charles Xavier. Logan. The new Minister of Magic. The Head of Interpol. Hermione. Naruto.
And one empty chair for the “traitor.”
Charles began.
“You’ve exposed too much, Naruto. The world isn't ready.”
“The world is never ready,” Naruto shot back. “But the world will die if we keep waiting.”
Logan's jaw tightened. “Scott’s been arrested. He says you forced him.”
“He sold 200 children for profit,” Naruto said. “I just forced him to take responsibility.”
Hermione placed a folder in the center of the table.
“This is the agreement.”
Everyone read.
1. Project Phoenix is terminated. All mutants are to be released.
2. The X-Men are disbanded, replaced by an international oversight body.
3. Naruto and Hermione are granted immunity.
4. If anyone breaks these terms, the third file is released.
Charles closed the folder.
“You are blackmailing us.”
“I am protecting those who cannot protect themselves,” Naruto said. “Call it whatever you want.”
Logan stared at Naruto for a long time.
“You know, if you take one wrong step, I’ll kill you myself.”
“I know,” Naruto replied. “That’s why I don’t take wrong steps.”
Charles signed first.
One by one, the others followed.
That night. Prague.
Naruto and Hermione sat on a rooftop. The city was quiet.
No helicopters. No news.
“Did we win?” Hermione asked.
“We delayed a loss,” Naruto said. “As usual.”
Hermione leaned her head on his shoulder.
“You know, if you had died, I would have leaked everything anyway.”
“I know,” Naruto said, smiling. “That’s why I won’t die a fool’s death.”
Below them, the world began to change itself. Slowly. Painfully.
But it was moving.
Inside Naruto’s mind, Kurama whispered: “You’ve become what you used to hate.”
Naruto closed his eyes.
“No. I became what the world needed. There’s a difference.”
Epilogue – 1 year later.
There was no more “Kitsune.”
There were no more news reports about Naruto Uzumaki.
In their place was the Mutant and Magic Oversight Body.
Head of Operations: Hermione Granger.
Silent Advisor: An unnamed man who liked to sit on rooftops when it rained.
Every time the system wavered, a file would appear.
No name.
No proof of who sent it.
People called him “The Fox.”
And the Fox never slept.
